Mining companies dont need your permission to sink a well on your property, Im glad they never found gas on my property. But they sunk wells on properties close to me . Funny thing is, Mining companies are allowed to clear land that farmers arnt allowed to touch and would face huge fines if they did.

Something similar happend in Germany. Not because of Gas but Coal. They removed complet Villages becaue there was coal underneath it. And they dug up a few Villages over the years. All the Villages tried to defend themself agains it (by suing the coal companies) but lost in the end.

This means the owners of the mineral rights can come and mine, drill, excavate, etc. to get the minerals. In the USA there are certain rules the miners must follow but the surface land owner has very little say in the overall picture. Usually, enough money is involved to shut up all but the most greedy land owners.

      Not really.
Mostly guns empower those that are weak and pathetic and lacking the ability to speak/communicate before resorting to pulling triggers.
Don't need more than 2 brain cells to use a gun/firearm, yet you need more than 2 to talk yourself out of a corner/situation.
But there are more than enough people already that think their guns are Gods given right, or, think god is in their hand or lives in said gun.
That being said, it's not hard to get illegal/unregistered guns/firearms in Australia. Just need cash and to know who to ask.
Also, a pissed-off out-back Aussie, isn't someone you want to cross. He doesn't need a gun to do you in and hiding remains is a fairly trivial matter in most rural areas of Australia.

USA had people saying fracking put gas into water wells. Maybe it did, but many wells were releasing gas long before the wells were fracked.
By the way, oil and gas wells can be drilled at angles. There is no need to put the extraction equipment close to anyone’s home.
The Australian laws on mineral resources apply in UK. Over here it even applies to underground water. The British are not even allowed to drill their own water well. Many farmers do, but it’s technically illegal.

The loyalties belong to the land owners!!! Government cannot sign off contracts over gas under private properties!!! In Australia, apparently, people of government lost their mind.

If the gas is getting mixed in with the water table in the ground it could be deadly if it ends up in the home

It doesn't appear to be that big of a deal!!!! if they let it keep happening. I would argue that any gas to be found on the property is owned by those who own the property and that should give you any right to defend it. However, if you are leasing from the Crown..... well then that is just that. You don't "own" property in Australia. The Constitution says "Governments can resume Land on 'Just Terms'. The Land ownership/Lease (deed and title) laws in Australia are insane. It needs fixing and the people need to initiate that before it's too late.

they won't want to because all their scare mongering proved to not be true . Saying that I do believe that a farmer or property owner should have the right to say no to wells on their land . I worked on pressure testing some gas lines in that area in 2012-13 . I drove through there in 2023 , it was not a waste land , far from it .
