  • 6 Months ago I was the First to review the Sweat Tent Sauna. dmjr.co/SweatTent
    This is a portable sauna (like a pop up tent) with a collapsable and portable wood fire stove that can heat the sauna up to over 230ºF in under 30 minutes. Or so its claimed.
    So, after 6 months of hard use, I feel like its time for a re-review of the Sweat Tent and also some tips and tricks I have learned that can help with any Wood Fired Sauna. Is the Sweat Tent still worth it?

    DMJ, love your vids. Very helpful, brother. Question: Do you think you can use home heating pellets? I get 6 tons delivered every winter and I wonder if I use a thick steel mesh over the grate at the bottom so the pellets don't slip through, it would heat just as well. I also have a patio heater that uses pellets. Thanks!

    Great video! I’ve been thinking of getting this, but I’ve been hesitant because ideally I’d like to use the money I’d spend on it to put towards building a true wood fired sauna. Also, you should reach out to Laird Hamilton, maybe you could review his style of workout/lifestyle.

    Question, I have been using my sweat tent almost everyday for the past 2 months and I’m starting to have smoke some out of the side and top of the door where I put the wood in. Smoke comes out of the chimney but also out of the door and fills the tent with smoke so I can’t use it. Have you had this same problem? I didn’t have any smoke issues till about 2 months of using it. Thanks

      Its sad to see so many duplicates of these cool products. Im sure they are all pretty much the same, i am pretty loyal when I find a brand and get to develop relationships with the teams behind them and learn their vision, I try to stick with them. But its the business they are in. No doubt more are coming out too so just do what is best for you right now my friend :)

    I bought mine the bigger model, which is in size 2meters by 8meters, but my issue was, that in rain 1 section of roofs collapsed because the fabric absorbs water and is not water resistant, the support beams that are build in didn’t hold (the corner mechanism that holds it in place)

      @DavidMausJr  6 месяцев назад +1

      No seam separation but Once i put 4 logs in (summer time), it got so hot I couldnt get in it, had to open both doors, and the entire stove/chimney was neon red! It melted that tube stitch there. No separation and no issues, just dont get it too hot.

    I bought the sweat tent and I can not get it up to 150 in 44 degrees weather. I used 6 good sized logs and opened the vent on the heater and on the tent. I think the bottom may need an insulation type material. If anyone has a good answer for getting the sauna to temperature…please let me know

    • @alexanderrebielak9974
      @alexanderrebielak9974 3 месяца назад

      You don't want good sized logs so to speak as much as something being able to burn into coal if you will. So if you make smaller pieces 12inch and reasonable in diameter so they can turn more into a bed of coal you will get great results. this way you can feed the fire also with ease.
