Finally a detailed review of this hotel! Thnak you Chris! Glad to see the view of Fuji from your room, that's really beautiful. Would you say the public onsen holds up to the other marriott's with onsen such as the Sheratons in Japan and Korea? That outdoor bath looks really nice. If you were to stay in Fuji again, would you stay at the marriott? or choose another accomidation around Lake Kawaguchiko or Hakone. Looking forward to your future Japan Marriott reviews! Any plans to stay in Izu, Karuizawa, or Habuka?
Hi Xvader... I can't comment on other Sheratons or Marriotts as I haven't experienced their onsens... but the public onsen here definitely was not up to par compared to the Hoshino Resorts we stayed at in Ito (Izu): ruclips.net/video/-vjglvTsVVU/видео.html We enjoyed our stay... and since we already stayed here, next time we'd try more central to the region in Lake Kawaguchi
Hi Chris. Great room view of the Fuji Marriott. It's a wonderful place to stay to get away of the crowded city and enjoy the peace and quite. The view of Mt. Fuji and being around nature is a great way to relax and rejuvenate yourself. The onsen bath is a wonderful touch for those who would like to experience it without sharing it with others in the public bath. Love the awesome view of Mt Fuji from your room. The free snacks and drinks is a mini fridge is a great amenity to have. Thanks for sharing and take care.
That is one great view of Mount Fuji from your hotel room! The hotel overall looks quite nice. I feel that it is a mix between a traditional Japanese onsen hotel and a Western Marriott-branded hotel. I agree that the hot spring in the bathroom could be making the room a little warmer although the climate control system probably contributes to that too.
What is it with climate controls in Japan? I think they set it to save energy. You think it's set to 68°, but the thermostat won't let it go that low. Or they just don't realize that Americans have more body fat.🤣

Yeah. Doesn't get better than that view!

Thanks Scott! We enjoyed it. And the price was right!
We love Japan
Thanks for the review. Does the hotel honor Marriott platinum status?
Yes
excuse me, could you tell me what your room number was in this hotel?
Seems like the value of that hotel is the Fuji view from the room. Without it, the value plunges.
Indeed

They like it hot I think! 😀
