Rigoberta's staging is pure art but you have to analyze it well to understand it. It is full of symbols and metaphors... Everything makes sense and each detail is taken care. The problem is that not everyone has cultural references to get to it... She starts out as a contemporary virgin, with a veil and sunglasses. She is trapped in her body, and she even is dennied to watch beyond her. Then it appears her alter ego and says to her "escúchame" (listen to me) and she breaks free, she removes her veil and glasses so she shows her face and could see the reality while she is accompanied by the women of her life. They fight together for a freer and more equal world. In her dress comes the figure of the empress and the name of her son. When she shouts "al puro estilo Delacroix" ( "in pure Delacroix style") of the lyrics she raises his arm as a symbol of Delacroix's art work "Liberty Leading the People". Then they all make a round that reminds us the prehistoric rituals of the irrational and wild person. She lies down and appears figures of the motherhood. She is "undress" (women's liberation) and gives birth. And they end up in a collective catharsis shouting "I don't know why people are scared with our tits" with a giant globe in the background with female breast form. They criticizes social censorship of tits and nipples women. She can't show her breasts on stage, so they show it with a world figure. They end up taking off all their shirts, but as women can't show their breasts, men also wear a bra in support and solidarity with the cause.
excellent analysis, I add: "They fight together for a freer and more equal world" scenes from Novecento (Bertolucci) come to mind. the tit that appears in a Woody Allen movie. He does not!!! to the war of the mothers of the world.
For me, the something extra this song has is heart. I am so endeared to this song by her energy and performance on stage, and it just makes me smile the whole time watching it. I love that its something a bit different from the usual uptempo bops that go to Eurovision. And i like that it's already divisive. Makes me want to vote for it even more if it goes to Eurovision 🤣
Not exactly! Mamá (with the accent on the second "ma", "maMA") is only a way to call tour Mother, and it's exactly how it is pronunciated in the song. Mama, pronounced almost like the Italian mamma, "MAma", means breast but also is another way to call your Mother. (I call mama to my mother but my children call me mamá). For breast: mama is the techical Word, pecho is the usual and good sounding Word, and teta is more coloquial. In the lyrics there are the two words, pecho and teta.
The last minute of this performance is such a moment, absolutely has the crowd going wild. I kinda hope that if this is selected for Eurovision (like I suspect it will) that they make the rest slightly more memorable. It felt like for a lot of it they were just walking around where they could have done something a bit more impactful. That being said, still a very good performance. I thought the juries might have marked it down but they clearly did not. I think both this and Chanel have the highest chances of a good result at Eurovision. This would be a bigger risk though and for that reason I hope they pick it. This could come really low, this could come really high. But it'll be a moment either way. Tweak the staging a bit and you've got something here.

@@goodaimshield1115 female nipples get censored online, male nipples don't. Women are often scolded for breast feeding in public, as though feeding a baby were a shameful act (as though it was actually going to harm people to sit in a restaurant where a woman at another table needed to lift half of her top up for a few minutes). A man would never be charged for going topless at a beach, a woman might. Think about what "scared of" might mean before you come across as living on another planet.
This was the best song. Although Tanxugueiras was ace as well. The public voted for Tanxugueiras, followed by Rigoberta. However, the judges decided to send Chanel to Eurovision, just because the Spanish TV has invested a lot of money to make that totally generic song… They totally disregarded the popular vote. Democracy in Spain summarized in one contest. 😬
Why is almost no one talking about this in the comments?? It should be everywhere. Rigoberta and Tanxugueiras both had the heart and the soul that Chanel totally misses in her song.
The message that she wants to transmit its very important.. why people are so scared about women tits ( tetas , pechos ) thanks to them the humanity is beautiful and Humanity exists thanks to them… she says if she goes to Turin she will improve many things on stage…
The only Spanish candidate to bring something new to Eurovision. The others are good, yet seem derivative from Fuego (Chanel), Shum (Tanxugueiras) and Soldi (Rayden).
Most of the people say that Rigoberta should stay in Eurovision just because they want to have fun watching their performance while they are thinking who deserve to be the winner. Aaaaallll of this having a possible TOP5 with Chanel. Ask me a question ... Would you vote for Rigoberta as a winner of the Eurovisión song contest? Literally NO. It makes us feel like you consider that we are the monkey of the circus. So nice to see ...
This song it’s about moms, maternity, strenght and feminism. It’s absolutely the best!!!!!

PS: the end is just a vindication of the equality of showing the chest being a man or a woman
You who have bled so many months of your life
forgive me before
i start I'm conceited and you know it well
To you who always have broth in the fridge
You who could end so many wars Listen to me
Mom, mom, mom
Let's stop the city Sticking a chest out in true Delacroix style Mom, mom, mom
For so many mamamama... mama All mamamama...mama
You who tied your body well to my head Wanting to cry but with strength
Listen to me Mom, mom, mom
Let's stop the city Sticking a chest out in true Delacroix style Mom, mom, mom
For so many mamamama... mama All mamamama...mama Mamamamamama...mama
Long live the mamamama... mama
I don't know why our boobs are so scary
Without them there would be no humanity and no beauty and you know it well
This song gives me peace vibes
Love It!
The song speaks about mothers and why tits cause modesty in the people. Great channel!!!! 😍😍
No modesty, fear. The lyrics imply patriarchy cuts womens aspirations short out of fear.
@@escaramujo which is stupid. No one in 2022 is scared of breasts (i doubt any one ever was), people who think people fear breasts are so backwards.
@@goodaimshield1115 there is
@@goodaimshield1115 female nipples get censored online, male nipples don't.
However, the judges
decided to send Chanel to Eurovision, just because the Spanish TV has invested a lot of money to make that totally generic song… They totally disregarded the popular vote.
Democracy in Spain summarized in one contest. 😬
Why is almost no one talking about this in the comments?? It should be everywhere. Rigoberta and Tanxugueiras both had the heart and the soul that Chanel totally misses in her song.
"Is that a nipple?!" Girl, I LOVE these reactions
¡TANXUGUEIRAS!
Me encantó tu reacción....😂😂😂 A mí me pasó lo mismo!!! 😅😅😅 Realmente estoy viendo una teta??!!!! 😁😁😁
Womens power ✊🏽💜
Chanel, Rigoberta and Tanxugueiras are amazing, but I'm team Rigoberta or Chanel, I don't know 😭😭
🇪🇸💙
The message that she wants to transmit its very important.. why people are so scared about women tits ( tetas , pechos ) thanks to them the humanity is beautiful and Humanity exists thanks to them… she says if she goes to Turin she will improve many things on stage…
The only Spanish candidate to bring something new to Eurovision. The others are good, yet seem derivative from Fuego (Chanel), Shum (Tanxugueiras) and Soldi (Rayden).
Music of tanxugueiras is unique un the world. Because nobody knows Galician tradicional music.
Exactly what I thought about those songs, they seem to be copies of other Eurovision songs.
I'm no stranger to Galician music. Sadly the sound of Terra was a bit between Shum and Sanomi.
Honey you need to translate the lyrics, you will understand everything trust me!
You look so stunning🥺😩🥺😩🔥
Amazing rigoberta
This song is Spain's favorite but the jury chooses Chanel's Slo-mo
My favorites are Rigoberta and Chanel
Just wanna say, your eye make up is '😌👌' today! =D
Hola, this song is one enter eight, tomorrow, elegimos one, espero que sea esta
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
the lyrics is the best
biggest grower in the competition
if you think this is the wackiest tha Spain has sent to eurovision you haven't seen "baila el chiki chiki" from 2008. Now THAT is crazy XD
No hay fronteras
Most of the people say that Rigoberta should stay in Eurovision just because they want to have fun watching their performance while they are thinking who deserve to be the winner. Aaaaallll of this having a possible TOP5 with Chanel. Ask me a question ... Would you vote for Rigoberta as a winner of the Eurovisión song contest? Literally NO. It makes us feel like you consider that we are the monkey of the circus. So nice to see ...
