Adding Lube to Your V4

- Over time your pogo stick will start to slow down and require more effort to jump high. When that happens, it's time to add more lubricant to the cylinder.
If you use your pogo stick 3x a week or more, we recommend adding lube about once a month.
If you only jump on weekends, you should add lube once every 2-3 months.
To do an oil change you'll need lubricant and a valve core tool. Skip to the bottom for links to the stuff you'll need.
STEPS
- Remove all the air from the cylinder.
- Use a valve core tool to unscrew the core from the fill valve.
- Stand your pogo stick up, tilt it to the side, and pour 20ml of lubricant through the fill valve
- Screw the core back into the valve nice and tight to make sure it doesn't leak air over time.

Good news I did add lube today all bye myself and I followed the instructions I let out all the air and tilted it to the side and after 5 min I’m out here in the backyard about to pump it up good as new.

Question here, I've the V4 Pro, I'd like to know what we have to do before changing the lubricant from one kind to another. Say there's silicone oil inside the shaft and that's the 'default' lube, and I want to use white lithium grease from now on, what will happen if there's silicone oil leftover and they mix? Will there be chemical reaction and ruin things? Thanks...
陈厚邻 You can either do an oil change to clean the old lubricant out of the cylinder, or you can just add the new lubricant and have a combination of the two until it's time for an oil change. I'd recommend just adding the new lube to it for now and then doing an oil change and switching completely to the new lubricant at that point.
What are the holes for around the base of the pogo stick? Are we ever supposed to add oil into those holes? I have the V4 Pro. Its been about a week on it. The shaft feels hot and dry after bouncing. I've never oiled it before.
The holes allow air to breathe in and out of the pogo stick. Without those holes it would not jump as well. No need to add oil to them. The shaft should start to get oil on it as you use it more frequently. If you feel it's too dry you can always add a tiny dab of oil to each side just under the bushing.

Please, I added white lithium grease and I think that ruined my stick… It's much more viscous than silicone oil so it basically doesn't flow, which makes the built in oil bowl useless, and I can feel the lubrication is much worse than silicone oil… now what do I do? How to clean the grease off? My god this is painful…
That's really interesting. There must be other kinds of White Lithium Grease available to use than the kind sold in the USA. The easiest way to clean the grease off would be to use an old rag duct taped or wrapped tightly around a broom handle. If you can't get enough of the grease off the cylinder by doing that, then you might have to use a degreaser to break the grease down...I'm not sure how thick it is since it's not the same type of stuff we use. Another option would be to just add some baby oil gel or petroleum jelly to the cylinder and allow it to help break down the grease.
I have a question, I got some baby oil gel for my pogo stick, and I got the $10 lube kit, when I am finished with the lube in the $10 lube kit could I fill the little container with baby oil gel and use that in the fill valve of the pogo stick?

I got a V4 pro but LARGE size and I find it so difficult to ride it , can I get it exchanged with a MEDIUM stick plsssssss with whatever the charges are . Ian sir plsss help
The cheapest way to get you a medium would probably be to send you a size upgrade kit since shipping to India is so expensive with import taxes.
Vurtego I’m gonna add lube in about 30 min how softer will the bounce feel?
Should feel a lot softer unless it's too dirty. If it's too dirty even adding lube won't make it feel much better.
So I've got my v4 pro lube email but how do I have no air in the stick and have the shaft out
Instead of pushing the shaft into the stick, just let the air out until it stops. At that point you'll have no air in the stick but can still push the shaft up and down.

I just got a vertigo v4 pro pogo stick but it's the start of winter and so it's very snowy so I'm not going to be able to use it for a while. Is it bad to store it with air in it?

hello from Brazil. I got a V4 and it is increadible difficult to bounce even with the recommended pressure. I bought white lithium grease but it not liquid..its like a cream... can I use it with mine?
Yes, you can use white lithium grease. It is not as smooth as oils, but it works very well, especially in hot temperatures.
@@vurtegopogos so. just find a way to squease the grease inside de valve on top of the v4, right?
@@albertoalerigijr If you can get it through the valve, yes. The other way to do it would be to take the pogo stick apart and add the grease through the bottom while you clean everything out.

@@albertoalerigijr Add enough to cover the entire inside area of the cylinder. It's probably around 10ml. More is better than too little when adding it.
