Before the assassin picked up the spear, as they were kneeling, you can see some soldiers still standing, having different kind of armor, scale iron, gray-ish color. Rounder helmet. They're the Eldian soldier. The kneeling soldiers wore golden armor, not scaled, but seems more like a plate. And they didn't wear their helmet anymore, which had some kind of brush hair as ornament. The moment he picked up his spear and stood up, if you pause on the right moment, you'll see the shocked face of Eldian soldiers. So, I think he got killed by Eldian soldiers there
You don't eliminate your enemies. You subjucate them. Make them a vassal state from which tribute flows. Hence 2000 years of Titan domination doesn't lead to the end of Marley. What does it mean to be a prestigious Subject of Ymir if you don't have anyone beneath you.
Yeah, it only leads to inner conflicts. If humans don't exist anymore, eldians will just make some new excuses to consider themselves superior to each other. For example, I always supported our holy savior Eren Jaeger from the beginning and you just joined up the fight at the end, therefore I should have the power and you must be kept under surveillance with minimum resources to live with.

im 13 days late, but my opinion is that since the founder can change the body systems of the eldian people, he/she simply just made it so that everyone else is now "normal" eldians and not royal blood.

Their two major sects, Catholics and Protestants, have this ritual where they symbolically eat the flesh and drink the blood of their savior, 'Jesus the Christ.' Sasha was a soldier killed in a war, it's tragic for sure, but refusing to see the other side and holding onto hate for a fictional character shows a lack of emotional maturity and a lack of understanding of the story being told.
