- This is the brand new all electric EV6 from Kia.
Built on their new E-GMP platform, it has a distinctive and bold design that's beautiful and functional too.
It's capable of ultra rapid charging, so if you can find a charger that can charge up to 350kW's, you can go charge 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes.
It's fitted with an innovative V2L system (Vehicle to Load) that can power multiple devices with the car.
It's chock-full of safety features, including:
Rear cross traffic alert
Blind spot detection
The seats recline in what is called a "zero gravity" mode - it distributes your weight evenly, giving you a weightless feeling. It also increases blood circulation, so it's great for long journeys!
Prices start from just £47,000.00 for the Air - which is the model we have here.

What do you think of the New Kia EV6? Can you see yourself in one? Annabelle
Love the enthusiasm. Great looking car. My missus has just ordered one as a company car. I'm still in the BMW 330E but I think I'll be tempted to drive the Kia from time to time!
Thank you, we’ve just driven the GT this wins overall but that is an absolute animal Dark Day enjoy both of you.
I keep writing this about Kia, when ever I watch your Kia reviews, but it seems they keep upping their tech and cars, every time anew model comes out. Amazing. That rear leg room is better than some of the hi end luxury cars I’ve Been in. Keep up the good work
They keep excelling, it’ll be interesting to see what’s next, thanks Matt
Love your reviews, give a good thorough overview of what to expect and how it feels. More real world than the usual journo-type babble.
I have the EV6 on my shortlist for my first motability car (and first EV!).
It would make a great video series or few part comparison review for cars available on motability. I would certainly love to get the help or even help give the customer perspective too!
Hi Craig - thank you for your kind words! Ben and I are chuffed that you like what we do :) That's a good idea - going to look into it to see what we can do, and will keep you posted. *A
You have literally just sold me on the car I already have 😂. Loving my EV6 RWD. The drive reminds me of an old E46 330ci I had years ago.
We’re that good Lee, mind you it’s that good, as for the E46 😎 we’ve a C124 on the drive.
A proper Mercedes 👌
Daimler Benz at its finest 😀
Hi guys hope you are both well . If it ever comes to britain could you do a review of the mg marvel r awd and could you try a toyota bz4x thanks lee .
Of course Lee, new MG3 soon and have you seen the Solterra review only difference really is the awd system, powertrain identical. Shout if you’d like a link posting, thank you
Great review, nice to see a presenter actually enjoying it rather reading from a script. Superb 🤙👍
Thank you Mark, yes that’s what I do with every vehicle, you’ve got to be able enjoy it and experience it foremost, road trip coming soon.
Its so futuristic like something from outer space...very smart 🤓 👌 thanks for the excellent review 👍
It is, thank you David, makes you wonder what’s next.
Great review as usual what a car totally agree with the comments on the rear and it like driving a super car with back side bumpers looking out the side mirrors absolutely love it the dream car
Totally agree with you George. There is a lot to love with the EV6
@@PlanetautoUK Price and overall package it’s still hard to beat the mg zs long range but really love the ev6 car a little to rich for my pocket maybe in the future when we start get second hand ev I might do it then. Still fingers crossed 🤞 for end August silver mg delivery
@@georgeoreilly969 it’s getting close now, very excited for you, thank you
Does the Air (UK spec) have the sequential indicators (I know the other spec models do)
According to owners of the Air, no they don’t Martin
Can do a review on the new 2023 honda cr v when you can thanks Lee.
Will do, new Civic first, thank you Lee
@Planetauto Hi is this car's colour/color Interstellar Grey or Aurora Black Pearl?
Good question we’ll double check
what a lovely car review
Thank you very much, Gerard - it’s comments like this that make it all worthwhile.
I'm very tempted, I can get the GT LINE, only issue I have with any electric is charging, would granny charging be sufficient once a full charge has been achieved just to tick over do you think?
That’s how we do it, and if we go further afield we use a rapid - it namely depends on how many miles you’re likely to cover weekly etc. A home charge is how we top up currently whilst we decide which Type 2 to go for, thank you Mark
@@PlanetautoUK appreciate this cheers m
@@theessexdon you’re welcome, keep us posted on what you do and thank you
Ordered the Air as a company car, march 2023😐🤣 bit disappointing a car at 43k isn't keyless entry...
It’s interesting what you do get and then again what you don’t, you’ll be thoroughly impressed though, we were, thank you Gordon, it’ll fly by
Would have liked one myself but I wouldn't go for anything other than the gt line s awd, anything under this spec is a bit to basic for me I have to have all the toys and don't like the the plastic seats sorry ( vegan) but 53k for the s is more than I can afford. Price is competitive with other makes so probeley I will never have one.
The GT is the one you want mind you that’s a fair chunk of cash, looked awesome at FoS though, the Air would suit us, did think there’d be a bit more equipment though, thank you Rob
