- Final Smashes can be devastating, especially when you trap 7 other characters, because that can give you 7 free KOs and potentialy win a match.
For any confusion about the characters' names or voices changed, this is the French PAL version of the game.

In the multiplayer for punch out wii when you get hit a lot or do a lot of damage (forgot whether it's one or both) I think you build up a sort of "rage" meter and once its maxed you become giga Mac for a limited time
There wasn't anything similar in the original NES game was there? It seems kind of funny that they would need to add such an ostentatious new mechanic to embellish a game that was probably originally appreciated for its simplicity.
(I probably actually owned the original NES game and never played it, it was all Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. for me)

You know what's interesting? Ryu is the only character with 2 final smashes in Smash 4. You know what else is interesting? Ryu is the only character that has two final smashes in Project Crusade, which included Ryu first.

About Bayonetta's Final Smash though, I don't understand why Gomorrah (the demon Bayonetta summons) only chomps up to 3 characters, while the rest are sent flying, either. I was a bit disappointed, that Gomorrah didn't chomp everyone. It would have been funny to see everyone disappear with the sparkles left behind and then you see Bayonetta doing her side taunt.

Watching the camera repeatedly zoom into the 7 characters on Zelda, Shiek, and Dark Pit's FSes gave me a headache.
not all final smashes are trapping final smashes, (Dr.) Marios for example:once youve been hit by it, you can escape the other hits after the one that hit you. Ike's/Clouds Final smashes cant be escaped after getting hit by the first hit
You have a point, although whether a final smash is a trapping one or not is debatable. I mean, there are final smashes which you cannot escape once you get caught, there's no doubt about it (Ike, Cloud, etc.), but there are other final smashes which can be trapping under certain conditions (the positioning of the characters, etc.). In Mario's Final Smash, for example, if Mario uses the FS on the ground, you have slightly more chances to escape it if you get caught in mid-air, but if you're on the ground, there's no escape. So it's a tricky, just like combos which you may or may not escape.
But the idea I had here was to KO all 7 opponents at the same time and pretty much showcase under which conditions can you trap everyone with any character.
Nintenrock the way i think it should be, is that if the final smash is unscapable under normal circumstances, it is a trapping Final Smash
