Thanks so much! And I totally agree. It has all come together now. I’d love to see them expand this line to things like “Session Upright”. A boy can dream. Lol
I know this is an older video, but it's a great walkthrough - I always like your method and delivery. Just wondering if you ever release videos where you put it all together in a composition?

You’re an amazing talent and an inspiration. I started my YT channel a little over a year ago and still looking for my niche in music production. It was Jef Gibbons (fellow Canadian friend) that sent me your way. You should have 50,000+ subscribers - your stuff is just so good 😊
It just keeps getting better and better too. I actually filmed way more awesomeness but just had a corrupted file, hence why the video was so short. The entire list of presets was 💰💰💰
It’s definitely superior. It can do all that those other NI bass plug-ins can do, but the melodic mode that has little runs added in is an awesome feature that takes it over the top. As for other plug-ins in it’s category, I think it sounds a bit better, but the bass they recorded for Prime Bass is just about my favorite type of bass, so perhaps I’m biased lol. I can’t recommend this one highly enough :)
@@BeauTylerMakesMusic I really appreciate your sharing on this, I have Ez drums and was considering to get the EZbass but than I saw Prime Bass and beeen able to play and use the articulations in real time really got me I don’t think Ez bass does that, I know you can edit the midi but you have to click note by note to apply the changes, I don’t think it’s possible to do it on the go as Prime bass does. I’ll have to get the latest version of Kontakt so far I have just the free player, but I really want to dig deep into VST’s.
Great points. I think the big difference really is that things like easy bass are truly MIDI operated. Whereas these guitar plug-ins that Native Instruments has been making are simply using midi to trigger real riffs and articulations from a real bass player. So essentially you’re composing or arranging the piece, but also allowing the player to do what they do, which is a solid approach for any producer working with talented musicians. It kind of changed my perspective when the bass player who created this plug-in reached out to me after I made this video. It always felt like I was collaborating with the player, but putting a face to the sounds really reminded me of the difference in roles between a producer and a studio musician, which are often confused by people. We get so used to playing both roles so often that this feels a bit more traditional, as strange as that may be. I mean, if I’m in the studio and I tell a bass player to play a specific note it doesn’t mean that I’m telling him what other notes to play around it. That’s really at the discretion of the bass player. It’s essentially the exact same thing with this experience. I’m liking it a lot. :). Sorry for the world’s longest response. Lol
Scarves is great but IMO Prime can do everything it can do and more. I’d recommend Prime Bass but you’d still be getting an awesome plug-in if you go with Scarbee. :)
Oh sure! Okay, so long over explained answer cominatcha. Lol. Well if you’re playing with the melodic version of the plug-in then standard keyboard notes apply, so you can play whatever you want. But if you’re doing the standard version of the plugins, you select the major/minor key on the plug-in itself. There’s a spot where it is labeled so you won’t miss it :) In the case of the later, the root is always on C. So you just look at the 7 white keys in C as the 7 chords in the progression. For instance, I’d you where playing in F Major, the c-key would F Maj, the D key would be G minor, and so on. Oh, and the B flat in the octave gives you a flat 7th chord for that Mixolydian feel that European musicians dig so much :)
I understand exactly what you're saying maybe it's just that I'm hearing it over the phone it just doesn't sound real enough for me and again it does sound like the Rick version that they already have a native instruments now don't get me wrong with talking Rick I happen to have a two of them but they always seem to use the typical I wish they would use a Warwick bass or maybe dingwall or maybe an Ibanez bass something different they just never seem to use anything but fender will Gibson
This might bring bass guitar back to hip hop. Lay in a great bassline, and then for today's tastes, bump up the sub on the bassline, keep the half-time pattern and you can evolve trap music to include natural bass parts. Shhhh. Me first.
In my experience, they tend to just come out with sequel plug-ins. For instance, there are two versions of one of the guitar plug-ins in this line. I'd imagine that if they do another bass one it will be on a different kind of bass so they can keep their lineup diverse.
videos in 2 days from BT means it’s going to be a good day 🔥
Or the apocalypse. Lol
I like that you focus on the application rather than just showing every preset

Found you from comment in Jefs vid 👍🏾👍🏾
Nice! Jef's my homie and a great dude :) Thanks for checking out my stuff :)
Just purchased it and checking it out. I hope I can write without everything being in 1-bar patterns
Shouldn’t be a problem. It’s super versatile. Hope you’re loving it.
Great vid Beau ..I use all session instruments... awesome... downloaded the bass as we speak..
Nice! Hope you enjoy! Let me know what you think :)
Was in two minds about getting this. Thanks for persuading me! Let's hope the missus doesn't find out!
The healthy to a successful relationship for a music producer… is lying. Don’t tell her! LOL 😉
Great channel. They way you preview them expansion is origanal. New member. What daw are you using on the ipad?
Thanks! It's just displaying the DAW from my computer. I was just using the Maschine software :)

I love your preset Roulete videos - very clever 👍

Cool review!
Thank you! I’m glad you dig it! ❤️🙏

Does melody mode support chords? Some libraries allow you to overlay bass notes.
I’m not sure what the maximum polyphony would be, but I’m sure it won’t be a problem. :)

Great idea! I’d love to see a more diverse selection of basses too. Especially an Ibanez bass. 💯
Does this work in standalone ?
yes when you open kontakt in stand alone mode
If you’re referring to Maschine Plus, no :( I wish!

It was ok it sounded like the Rick plug in like real bass better
I feel you, but it is real bass. It’s expertly recorded from top notch players. This is essentially just a sample launcher.
Just buy a good Bass far more satisfying.
I play bass as well. Both are a lot of fun :)
@@BeauTylerMakesMusic I may buy it. Is it expensive. I own other NI stuff.
Does Native update preset banks?
