I’ll never forget my first Crappie... Bass fishing 22 years ago and left my 7” plastic worm danglin on the side of the boat while eating lunch. An absolute dinner plate of a white crappie slammed it, 2lbs... didn’t even know what a crappie was back then. LFG!

I caught a nice limit of 10-14” Coosa river slabs today🎣🎣🎣. You and LFD need to make a trip to the Coosa for some Alabama spotted bass and some big slabs!👍🏻👍🏻🎣🎣🎣

Man im glad LFD joined you when you all do videos they are great you just dont see the father and son bonds like before between people having to work so many hours there time is shot and kids just not interested any more. I’ve barely started really looking into going full action in the fishing world with the family. Growing up I’ve had some good memories with fishing with family. I do crappie tournaments and that livescope is an amazing tool but I would highly recommend the blue and red color screen you can tell the bigger fish from the smaller fish much easier
I did that with isolated weed patches in 18ft of water late summer/early fall. I’d tell my son were to pitch and then would call the bite when they would dart out to hit the falling jig. Livescope is super fun.
If you have folks who don't like spicy blackened fish, I used to make some for my young son and others who didn't like the heat I used Cavenders Greek Seasoning on them and cooked them first using the same technique, then the hot spicy ones.
Hey man a good suggestion is go at a later time work a dock that has an over head light work it with a bobby garland black and green crappie jog works every time
Here in Michigan Crappie, Perch, and other pan fish there is no size limit. I for one don't like it. There are people that don't care and will keep 4 to 6 in fish. Then wonder why we can't find them like we use to. They will also come day after day to get enough to fill their freezer instead of enough for a few meals. Love the channel.

Same thing just happened to me in saltwater in Apalachicola Bay at St George island in Florida. Thought I had a nice redfish turned out to be a clump of oysters. Lol
idek what i was watching before this, seen the notifciation and was like YUUUUP and smashed it edit: up north here in nova scotia canada i get the multiespeices box, panfish stuff works for trout bass stuff for smallies and stripers and the cat stuff depends on how big it is tbh dont have channels flats or blues here just bullhead
happened to me walleye fishing. I was dragging the bottom with a live minnow when i felt the tap. I waited 10 seconds. set the hook and reeled like mad only to find a rock on the other side. it felt like a walleye the whole time because it was fall. they weren't moving and weren't fighting. Still that same trip I caught my biggest walleye ever, at 28 inches. 8 lbs 2 oz.
