John John Florence & Kelly Slater Celebrate the Arrival of Giant Clams in Fiji

- Kelly Slater, John John Florence and Rosy Hodge joined Tavarua's managing director Rick Isbell in the island's efforts to restore the giant clams in the protected reefs surrounding the tiny island. In fact, Tavarua is now building its own hatchery tanks for hundreds of baby clams.

Tridacnas are fascinating creatures. Unlike other bivalves like scallops and oysters they don't really eat food in the way that we're used to; they live off microflora that grows inside them. Clear water is a necessity so that their plants can get enough sunlight.
That's was an amazing act of humanity ... I loved it... we can learn from the clams it seems.
Good example for the present and next generations. Thank you.

Seeing as Trump wants to cut funding to US FWS and other conservation programs in the United States, your stance is definitely a little tricky. Nonetheless, I still find it encouraging that Trump supporters care about our planet, even if their votes suggest otherwise.
