Years ago, my younger brother got us all reading a book by Tom Brown called "The Tracker"; then I read a series of books by Tom Brown. After reading The Tracker we all wanted to go out and track, but I was terrible at it. I read 5 or 6 of them. One was called "Grandfather" an Apache medicine man/tracker. This video reminds me of things I read in that series of books.

Thank you! I grew up in fork River, New Jersey, and Tom was a major influence on my life. It is an honor to be compared to the most influential mentor in my formative years.

@@primitiveskills I read Tom's books and am from Medford, Nj. I spent years back then tracking in the Pine Barrons. He taught me everything, especially what animals can teach.

I was disappointed in other tracking videos, so I was about to make my own, until I saw this, exactly what a tracking video should be. Your most pertinent tracking skill is observation. How long ago was the track? What was the weather like? Has it rained? Was it windy? Look at your own tracks that you just made, how have they aged.
