I wish all instructional videos were this good. It's so refreshing to have a presenter get on with actual steps and not talk my ears off! 👂😲😵😴💤 Thank you 😊🙌💕✨
For those like me struggling to get the lid on, the filter is in wrong. You don’t simply line it up with the squares. Look down into the reservoir where the filter goes. You’ll see a long raised line. There’s a groove on one side of your filter. The 2 need to line up. Then your lid should fit.
Line the groove in the filter with the handle. Must push filter in firmly. I wasn't getting to seated properly and it would fall out when tipped over. Seems to work fine now. Soaking second fill right now. Did first fill completely wrong. As if you can fill a pitcher wrong. LOL! But yep.
This review is just amazing. I watched it 3 times, and still can watch few more times until i am satisfied. I have been trying to set it up entirely wrong, and thanks to this video, I finally, after 3 days of trying, figured out how this Brita filter works. I still haven't figured out how the digital part works, its a mystery, but maybe one day I will understand
@@belenc.l9773 I'm sure they have updated these in the last 3 years or so . More than likely they have revamped the electronics in them too with different operations than that of the older models.

I finally decided to try out Brita pitchers (bought a 6cup and the 10cup at Target this morning) because I'm tired of lugging gallon bottles to/from the store, plus I don't really enjoy recycling the plastic bottles all that much.

This is a great video w/great production values. I've bookmarked & used it many times as a 'refresher' guide in changing the filter in my pitcher. The city water here often tastes like bleach-- using this pitcher gives me good-tasting water; I even use it to make better ice cubes! Many Thanks!
I just picked one of these up the other day for $20 from my local Rite-aid. I'm so glad I found this video as I haven't attempted to put it together as of yet and I know this video is going to save me so much time & trouble. Great video 👍
I was having issues with the top not closing but I just had to reinsert the filter..I took of the middle plastic piece and aligned it with the filter put back together and tada easy..thanks for the vid!!
Thank you for taking the time to do this video, my pitcher was leaking inside. Meaning that I saw that the water was being filter much faster than usual, but when you said that to press tight for a better sealed that helped me. Now my pitcher is filtering great!
I bought mine over a year ago. I'm tried of the awful tap water. After reading the instructions and becoming confused, I was soooo hoping someone did a video on this. Yes!!! Thank you!
Thank you so much for your video. I just bought one but had a hard time to take the reservoir out, then the filter did not stay put. I poured water and it didn't go as fast as yours. Oh, well I am going to keep it. Your instruction helped me, and I am grateful.

Madison Schneider You just never know how a video will help. I never thought it could help so many. This is the very reason I do this you just never know. You are welcome and thanks for viewing.
Thanks for this video. I wish that I had watched it BEFORE I bought a Brita yesterday. If I had realized what you had to do BEFORE you could get fresh drinking water, I would not have bought a Brita.
Panda Kso LOL that was a touchless faucet that no longer works. I had to install a new one. Nice concept but not long lasting. Technology is getting better and MUCH more pricey. The new one isn't touch less
Alesha Michaud first I would question the filter make sure it is the correct one and there is a notch so that filter will only fit in one way spin it around make sure if you have the crisscross at the bottom make sure it slides past that. It is not fitting due to the filter really there's only a couple of reasons why filter too big possibly for a different model Filter not set in the reservoir properly if it is in where the notch is push it down in the filter should be level with the reservoir inside. Not a dumb question sometimes you just need a third brain to help out with possibilities
Elizabeth Just try what i suggested to Alesha But, there are occasions that it might be a faulty lid. Just make sure the filter is seated in all the way, if the lid doesn't fit on the pitcher properly may try returning it for a new one. Take a deep breath it's ok.
This video is so helpful! I had problem stuck the filter inside with tight seal, after watching, 3:47 only one direction could fit the filter in. Almost throw away this cup lol
Omg! I was doing this all wrong. Mine doesn’t come with the Brita notification, only a cover. I was supposed to soak my filter in cold water for 15 mins, but forgot about it, and left it for 3 hrs instead. I hope it’s not toxic or anything.
I'm still not sure about how much water to put in the pitcher. The thing that confuses me is if the pitcher is full of water it doesn't get to run through the filter because it's sitting underneath the filter. I agree with others that it was nice not to hear sound but for me I would have preferred him to say something like "fill the pitcher up to this line".
To change the filter in the large pitcher you will probably need a butter knife to gingerly pry up the thin black top piece. The latch on the front just doesn't do it.
I have watched six of these demos and not ONE shows where the max fill line is! Does anyone know? Is there an actual "fill line" on the pitcher somewhere? The filter lights can't work if there isn't some way to measure the amount of water that is put in the pitcher.
We saw in the instructions to keep the water level up to the filter so it’s not completely dry because bacteria can start to grow , that was about 10 years ago. Is this still recommended? Or can you let the pitcher sit with very low water levels .? Please reply someone thanks 🙏
EN algunos modelos pareciera que la tapa no cierra, pero es el filtro que no esta bien puesto, solo girenlo a la izquierda o derecha y va a encajar bien la tapa y el aua va a estar limpia.
My question also! Some pitchers have a fill line and some don't. NONE of the videos even show where the final fill line ended up to be. I got a five cup model and I poured five cups into it quickly so it wouldn't start filtering and I marked where five cups ended up when full.
@@TheShackHome , thank you. The reason I ask is because I recently bought 2- 6packs of filters. They ALL filtered just like your example. Originally, prior to this purchase, the water filteted thru them slowly. Ugh, i called the company and they refunded my money minus the tax paid. Instead they mailed me a Blue filter. Sean McCarthy I was wondering the same thing. Is that line a few inches from the bottom the max fill line? Do you just fill it up to the top of the lid once and then let that filter through and consider that to be full. It’s a really big pitcher. I imagined filling the whole thing when I bought it, not just the bottom 3 inches of it.
I bought the exact same Pitcher with the white cover, installed brand new brita filter into it, then slowly filled it with cold tap water little by little. Stored it into the fridge for a few hours, then had a couple drinks of water. it was clean and great tasting. next day i got VERY sick with the flu and sore throat. Almost thought it had something to do with the Coronavirus crap, but I googled more info about this Brita Pitcher and everyones been getting sick from it too! Looked up the official Brita youtube channel to leave feedback only to find out they disabled comments and hid the likes on their page. I don't recommend this brand at all!
When I was washing it I noticed marks on the side of the pitcher. they look like scratches but feel smooth. I was hoping for info here, but don't find any. I think I'll return it and try to get one without marks because I would be wondering it it's healthy. It's the Soho model I bought at an Evanston CVS August 2018.
Julia these are just mold injection they may not be scratches could be just stress marks in the plastic from the process or a flaw in the die that they are made from. If they are noticeable yes return it but really nothing to worry about. It is a flaw they should be clear but over time you will get scratches on the picture it unavoidable.
