...your vintage collection surely has evolved into your vintage stack. I recently picked up 6 Engelhard rounds. One of the 84s still in the what I call lollipop packaging. I would not have even known what they were had I not subscribed to your awesome channel! Thanks Savage.
Vintage Bars are not my thing but as we all have our own interests, i get it, and that looks like a wonderful stack/collection and you obviously get to spend as much time enjoying the hunt as you put in monetarily. So I say, Stack On!!! That is awesome!!!! Fun and a stack!!!!
Thanks Big E best part about my vintage stack is most of it cost me the same as generic silver I don’t just hunt for vintage but I hunt for vintage on a budget if it’s to high I pass on it makes the hunt that much more fun .
💙 loved the tour! I started sliding down the vintage bar rabbit hole but pumped the brakes. One of the best parts of vintage bars is that you can handle them, fondle them, caress them….love on them , and they don’t care. 😂 Probably a good investment move to stack vintage bars but the counterfeit aspect sucks! Congratulations on acquiring the object of your desire.
Yep definitely the best aspect of the vintage is being able to hold them and love on them . Been known to fondle my ingots lol 😂 Anyways 🤣 After I counted up my vintage weight I might pump the breaks to unless it’s something special or I find it for dirt cheap. The vintage collection is getting a bit heavy and taking over the stack . Great to see you as always hope life is kind to you take care
Awesome vintage stack! You have some real gems on the table for sure brother. I've noticed more and more people stacking vintage silver, so it has been harder to find this stuff for sure.
It has definitely been a challenge and I try to get most my vintage at a low cost so it even makes it harder but makes the hunt that much more fun thanks brother
AWESOME WH Foster. The Deak Perera hallmark was well known on those. I don’t think anyone ever figured out the "Star" hallmark tho. I think everyone should have a "grail" piece in their stack. 🔥🔥🔥. My fav was the 2 oz Bunker Hill
Man I’d give a kidney for a Bunker Hill . Im super excited to have this little nugget of vintage. It’s all because of you you got me hooked way back in the day . And I finally got my hands on one and not a bad price either. Thanks bro for opening pandora’s Box 😂
Savage, you had me at Vintage! I love this stuff, thanks for sharing. My LCS doesn’t have a lot of love for vintage, so they treat it like generic silver - huge win for me. I have amassed a tube of Prospectors, some other Englehard 1 oz bars, and a couple Amark and JM 10 oz bars. I also have a few other 1980s rounds. I live the stuff. I really want a JM 100oz bar, but it’s hard not to go gold when I have that much budget to burn. Anyway, killer stack.
I dont have anything vintage except one 1985 prospector. silver bar stacker has a sale right now on a jm bar and prospector for $70. Was thinking about buying 10
Beautiful vintage collection. Been wanting one of those Foster bars for a while. I'd say Homestake is up there too. Luckily I got a couple of those. Probably my favorite.
I get a lot of "junk" bullion...get tons of art bars and rounds going back to the 70s and 60s...The LCS had some 100 0z silver certificate bars from the 40s? 50s? It was silver given to you when you turned in your silver certificates...one was black and the other silver...really cool...
Gorgeous vintage collection SS. Congrats on finding your holy grail. Im not huge into vintage but my favorite bar I have is my vintage 10 oz Johnson Matthey bar, beautifully toned and looks amazing. It doesn't look gray like other vintage stuff, I think it's been in a capsule since capsules were made because it's in such great shape. Do you happen to have a vid on just vintage Johnson Matthey bars?
I’m a huge Johnson Matthey fan I’ll have to do a video on it I’m pretty knowledgeable on JM just never made a full JM vid 🤔 definitely got my mind thinking thanks for the idea
@@savagestacker oh awesome man! Can't wait to see it. Yeah I love the JM bars as well. It just sucks the non vintages ones are so my more expensive than some of the others because I was looking into getting another to add to my 10 oz'er stack last night, but it was going for around 300 when I can get some others around 266 and get another whole Oz with the diff. Id definitely appreciate a video on them and how to tell the difference with the vintage and not and what ones make them even more valuable. Thanks
I am envious of that great collection that you have. Congrats on hitting 5k and keep on doing your thing. Glad you got your grail bar.I waiting on you showing some more knifes. I like the vintage bars.
Ill try to get to the knives I’m just trying to ride this wave my channel has been on lately trying not to loose momentum but the knives are definitely in the future for sure
Definitely some heavy hitters in the vintage world I see bar's sell for 10 grand . I love vintage ingots/ Bar's I actually collect them. And that's a sweet Foster 3 oz!!
Thanks DSB yeah some W.H. Fosters and bunker hill go for some crazy money . Funny thing is there’s not many bars around from the 40’s -50’s but plenty from 60’s70’s80’s with all us Newer Vintage collectors out there if we held this stuff another 20 years I’m sure lots of these bars will be worth quite a bit more down the road . It would be nice to find some ingots from the 40’s I know there out there but the major collectors have them locked down 🤨
I’m a coin and rounds guy. I don’t get collecting bars except for they have a low premium. But they are just blocks of silver ready to be melted for other purposes. But again, to each their own. Just don’t take them to Pawn Stars as they will drill a hole in it to make sure it isn’t lead filled.
Nice, I just got my first vintage silver, 10oz engelhard cast bar P series for same price as generic at my LCS. I know is not that special but is my first so it is special to me. Btw that’s a nice stack
The first Engelhard is always special I still have my first and I also got it for the same price as generic I say well done and now that you opened that door good luck and happy hunting the Vintage the hunt is just as fun as the purchase!
Great video as allways my friend, Really nice collection you got! i dont have any at the moment but my grail pice at the moment is a nice Engelhard p waffleback. Would be a nice addition to the stack and a display pice on my desk for my videos. But i do have to pay arround $200 extra on top of the bar in tax and import dutys so im holding off at the moment. I can buy two generic 10 bars for the price of one engelhard and do need the oz for my nebie stack haha.
It’s definitely more of a collection than a stack but most my vintage cost me the same as generic silver so I definitely buy it over modern stuff when I have the chance
Savage Stacker, hey Bro I just subbed your channel, I've been watching your videos for a couple of days now,I like your channel and the best part though is all the silver and gold! I get into the vintage too.
@No Comment that’s how I get most my sexy Vintage I look for those kind of shops . All silver was once new . There’s no such thing as trash silver lol 😂 that’s like saying 100 bill is nothing because you washed it in your jeans . Or like your 4x4 is junk because you drove it through the mud . But as long as we get to benefit from that way of thinking well I love those kind of shops . Cheers 🍻
@Savage Stacker I know what you are saying. I went to my guy yesterday and had to turn down a very very nice vintage poured bar..😒😔 because I have court for this custody battle in 3 weeks and the attorney fees are killing me. I had to be responsible and turn it down. Hopefully I can get it next month.
Lol 😂 I wish silver bar stacker and silver struck I believe have me beat big time but I’m working on it but most my vintage was purchased for low generic prices it’s kind of my pet peeve with vintage
Hi Savage Stacker! Your channel has grown very quickly, can you do a video on how to grow your subscribers? I believe the rest of us could learn something from you. Thanks! 😎
Hey savage stacker, have you ever consider pawning your metals instead of selling. Especially vintage or hard to let go metals.. thanks and let's keep stacking
Nice video! Wanted to know if you have any info on that Escalante mine bar on the far left. I have a friend with that sur name and never heard it before her and now I see it here in this video of all places.
Vintage isn’t for everyone but luckily for me most of my pieces where for generic bullion prices not all but most I also keep a cheap sheet where my family knows prices and places to offload them for there true value. It’s the same as all collectors markets the value is what someone will pay for it . Take care
Yes you are correct vintage silver definitely has its disadvantages trying to value the collection in the event that something happens to me is one of them trying to find the right buyer is another. I’ve made a cheat sheet and categorized my whole collection for my family and also verbally talked to my wife about the situation and passed on a bit of my knowledge and key places to look at prices. So hopefully this helps in the future there’s a lot of other things that make vintage silver a good investment pros kind of out weigh the cons as long as we stay vigilant In regards on how to sell to the right buyer Vintage is fun beautiful and exciting and very very addictive to collect! Thanks for the comment
