Hi just wanted to say I like watching your vids, Not just about bike parks and you go back to what MTBing was when i started ages ago. Proper out doors trails. Your vids are good as I get to see what trails are like before hand so cheers for that.
Trail-Finder out off curiosity whats your travel on your full sus, im trying to work out what travel bike I like to get and what's suitable for most riding , when I get one this summer.
@@SevenMedia7 its 150 front and 130 rear. I ride it everywhere. cross country/ bike parks/alps and its enough for me. it is a plus bike though. so I get a little more cushioning with the 2.8 tyres
That section at around 15.50 or so, is the best thing at Dalby. Great vid - when my new bike turns up, that’s the first thing I’m going to do 🤪 might go horribly wrong as I’ve not ridden a mountain bike for almost 10 years 🤔
Nice ride that Andy. Some good skillz there mate. Just done Kielder today (Lonesome pine and Bloody bush trail). Was very disappointed. A real slog and the trials were mainly all loose stony hard-core with a few drop offs. Gonna give Dalby a blast at the weekend. Cheers dude 🤙
Who knew Kevin . That adding 45mm to the length of the bars could make such a big difference to how the bike feels. 710 is a great bike. But you’ve swapped to such a cool bike with the ultimate 😁
@@TrailFinder Agree! If I'm to be completely honest, 710 felt overall better to me than the ultimate. I need to play with suspension settings some more to see if I can get it dialed in. It does climb much better than the 710 though, and quite a bit lighter. Enough about that though, keep on with the great vids!
Really good video......... I've been to Dalby loads and only ever done the Red Route with the black bits at the sides, never the World cup Route...... looks good! cheers
Sick vid, highly recommended Leeds urban bike park as you seem to be in the same kind of area as me, only 45 minute drive to Leeds urban bike park for me, is just the greatest place I've been in quite a while
Hi Matty. I live in Boston Spa just on the outskirts of Leeds. but never been to Leeds bike park. I'm terrible at jumping so could do with visiting the place and getting some practice in. 😀👊
Great vid, went to Dalby last weekend but only hit the blue trail. Red Next in a couple of weeks, won't hit the black till I get my full suspension lol 😂
Finally got round to doing this today, and that long climb is awful, n I agree that little climb out of the valley is impossible. Top ride though.u smashed it second lap
Give it a go bob, most 'Black' routes aren't really that difficult. I've only been doing it around a year, I have recently just purchased a dropper seat post and this has greatly improved my downhill.
you have some of the best mtb videos. My closest trail centre is stainburn forest. I was wondering where your favourite places to ride are as i'm not sure what places are worth going to. also for future videos you should definitely check out the trails in panel, burn bridge and Leeds urban bike park.
hazbroTV stainburn is my local trail centre. I’m only 10 miles from there. My fav trail centres are hampsterley/ whinlatter/ coed y brenin in Wales. Hampsterley is great. If you not been it is well worth the visit. I have a descent video from there. You should check it out. And thanks for the kind words about my videos. 😁
Thinking about trying out dalby forest what kind of mountain bike do I need to try all the different types of routes?? I'm from a motocross background so aren't that clued up on push bikes
Hi Dave. a full suspension bike is always the best option. but Dalby can be done on any mountain bike. Hardtail etc. Are you borrowing from a friend. or are you renting? Dalby has a bike hire shop where you could hire one for the day. Have fun when you go 😀
@@TrailFinder I will be renting just to see how I.like it . I have watched all your videos a lot of the places you have ridden are local to me which is handy if I wanted to take it up as a hobby
@@ktmriderdave you will love it. and the fitter you get the more you will love it. I only started at the beginning of 2016. and its the best thing I've ever done.
Where do you park for the World Cup lap? Great video btw. Dalby is a love/hate relationship with me, When I was younger I could do the full red route. Now I’m not as fit. But I will get there again!
Trail-Finder thanks mate. I’m actually going to dalby tomorrow. But starting from the visitor centre. I’m going to include this section as I’ve not done it for a long time. Looking forward to your next video.👍🏼
Thanks Darren. Same story with me. Dalby is my local. But never done the black till this day. It was the hero 7 for this video. Using hero 8 now. It’s better
I really enjoyed watching that so much appreciated for the upload! Dalby is only about an hour from me so been wondering what it’s like to ride it! I’ve been a road cyclist for years and now had enough of the road and going to change to mountain biking 👌🤟 The laps you did on the video, can I ask how far they are please buddy? Keep the video’s coming buddy 🤟
Ha ha. it never does buddy. im in the middle of editing a video from Scotland where it was so steep I was sat on the rear tyre. The footage makes it look like a slight gradient 😫. glad you enjoyed watching 😀
Trail-Finder yeah that’s true, just binged watched a load of your vids & you’ve given me loads of ideas of places to go. You’ve just got a new subscriber. Keep up the good work 🤟🏻
@@beardedvikingmtber in the description on all my natural rides there is a link to my Strava page that I allow access to. so you can see and where I go. if you haven't already done so. go check it out 👊

I liked that bit. Also the gully bit. You will soon get back into it after 10 years
Dude I was there yesterday for the first time and your vid doesn't do it justice, them rocks just of fire road are steep man fire play to you
Craig Robinson it’s a great little route isn’t it. Well if you enjoy climbing it is 😂
Top quality vid mate love the commentary all the way through n this is one for my list of rides to ride! 🤘🏻
Jon The Beast Bowler thanks Jon. Glad you enjoyed it. I’ve been to Dalby many times over the years and this was my 1st time hitting this black.
Trail-Finder- Just watched the red n the black looks better 👍 definitely going this year!
Class video. Just getting back into MTB and found this which is local-ish to me. Thanks 🤙🏼
Looks great Andy, will give this a go now that I’ve seen what it’s like, thanks very much 👍
It’s a good loop if you don’t mind climbing

Same. I’ve always just gone and done the red. I loved it
Great video & that was a decent 2nd lap 👍🏻
Very nice indeed! Looks like a great place to ride. 👍

Great video! Thank you.
Your welcome. And thanks 😁
I'd love to do this, I'm 61 years old , have been cycling for 30 years and 5 years mountain biking, fit as a fiddle and will try pretty much anything
That’s brilliant. Hope im still fit enough to still be riding at 61.
Finally got round to doing this today, and that long climb is awful, n I agree that little climb out of the valley is impossible. Top ride though.u smashed it second lap
ric hennessey its a good little loop isn’t it ric. Think I’ll defo fit it into the red loop every time I go.
Awsome video pal I am new 2 this mtbing and Dalby forest is my local trail never been on black so now I will give it a go
James Forrest thanks James. It’s a tough route. The climbs are brutal. But it’s good. I’m one of those idiots who likes to climb 😂

One for my tick list at some point this year :)
Thanks for that mate, there's bits of that I could do, but I would have much more walking!!

It sure is Mike. Will also be doing a video
How do you get to that car park mate do you have Strava would love to see where you go ? Thanks
Take a look in the description. There is a link
Does the red route loop back to where you start from
Yes. And that is the case for all trail centres. They start and finish at the carpark
