Its great to see someone showing the best that Grizedale has to offer and I promise you, you didn’t even scratch the surface. As I’m sure you discovered, it does make you work for it but it’s a great place to learn and practice hard tech trails. Fortunately I’m a local so I get to ride every week. I still find new tracks all over the spot.
I used your file to navigate around this route, Yesterday, so cheers for that. It was a lot easier for me due to (1) it was bone dry & (2) I was riding a Trek Rail eMTB. I agree with you on the descent near the end, well worth it even with the big climb back up to the car
Me and the mrs did this last week, stupidly wet chucking it down! Several of the bridleways were streams! Comparable to Penmachno in wetness lol. Quite overgrown in the boggy bits but all great fun.
Nice video pal. That is very familiar territory. There are some more cracking bridleways in and around the forest so well worth an another visit. Give me a shout if you want to hook up.
this is another trail i`m doing. hopefully early next week. rode past a couple of the descents on the coniston loop one. hope it dries a little for me.
@@TrailFinder agree there. i done 2 of your trails recently and passed countless pathways. got a garmin 520 plus edge. went off course a few times but really gona enjoy getting arund natural trails. i like look of those over near ladybower are.
I don't know if you know of the place but if u check out Yorkshire cycle hub in North Yorkshire Moors great fryup dale there is some epic trials they can recommend to do around there 👍
Hi Andy. I'm new to this mtb'ing stuff and ur videos are an excellent inspiration. When u go down descents are you normally stood up or are u still sat down? I'm just wondering at what point I use my dropper post
Mark Davies it was good fun this one. My bike computer is the garmin 820 edge (gps version). I plan my rides on Stravas fantastic route planner then load them onto the bike computer turning it into a sat nav. If your a Strava summit member you can actually download my ride data onto your bike computer. This is why I allow access to my Strava page so others can enjoy the rides I plan 😁
Loved watching this, me and my mate used to ride a lot of this years ago when he lived near where you finished, trying to figure out whereabouts the part at 6:30 is, check out my vid of your first part from the fox to Dale park at night. Sweet riding fella 👌 👍
Don’t know the area that well. But I’m sure I went thought a saw mill just before that bit at 6:30. You will have to look at the map of my ride to see if you can work it out
The North Face is terrible; ok as a climb to get to the better stuff but the descents are crap. So many decent trails in and around Grizedale but they are found by following OS maps and your nose rather than trail signs.

TheFakeAssassin I was very impressed with the place. Loved the tech.

7.30 went a cropper on that rock 2 days ago LOL .. like Ice when moist !! awesome riding around there mate 👍
It’s a good section is that. But not in the wet😂 it’s a great forest. Lots to explore. Need to get my self back there.
@@TrailFinderthat section was like a jungle bracken was crazy thick just had 3 days up there .. weather was great but was pretty slick on the rocks ..

I did It in the wet. Need to go back and hit it in the dry
Stunning. Without doubt the best type of riding. Excellent video Mate.
Mark Collingwood lots of bridal ways to explore in this forest. A good start though 😁
Another quality vid mate. Love some of the trails you are riding... but they're all wet!! LOL You must be constantly cleaning your bike!
Mark Page Home Studio tell me about it. But summer and good weather is just around the corner 😂. And thanks for the kind words. They mean a lot 👊
@@TrailFinder you're welcome mate. Keep up the good work. Roll on summer LOL. This weekend looks cracking ;)
It’s a very different ride in the dry. That’s why this sport is so good. It’s always different.
Completely agree. 😁👍
Did this route yesterday!!! I’ve been pinching your Strava routes 😂😂
It’s a beauty is this ride.
@@TrailFinder definitely. I Was wetter than an otters pocket yesterday
Wow, looks super fun!
KeZ some good fun fast descents on this ride with amazing views. Shame the last descent wasn’t captured on camera. Not sure what went wrong there 😩
Nice video pal. That is very familiar territory. There are some more cracking bridleways in and around the forest so well worth an another visit. Give me a shout if you want to hook up.
Lakedistrictrider looks to be some good stuff. Could do with an ebike to fully investigate 😂

I really enjoyed this one. Need to go back and redo it. Grizedale has lots to offer. Need to befriend a local to show me around 😂

GaserJack 56 thanks for the tip. I will have to look into that 👊
@@TrailFinder yeah for sure really good fun there
Andy, how do you find all theese trails you do you seem to know a massive amount from all over the UK
mainly just looking at osmaps and linking up bridleways.
Hi Andy. I'm new to this mtb'ing stuff and ur videos are an excellent inspiration. When u go down descents are you normally stood up or are u still sat down? I'm just wondering at what point I use my dropper post
Great looking ride that bud, whats your bike computer? Is it basically a sat nav for a bike, do you load to trails onto it? Thanks

Forgot to say mark. On every natural ride I put the Strava link to my page in the description. Feel free to click through and take a look at this ride

@@TrailFinder yes that makes sense, Graythwaite sawmill
Moor Top Carpark?
Yes I started there
My local forest, The "best official route" they had got sterilised into gravel paths 😣 best routes are the enduro sections really
Or the claife heights route ia what we mainly do now there
There looks to be some good stuff mike. This was my 1st time on the bridal ways in the forest.
@@TrailFinder yeah theres some really good bits in there if you know where they are but the trail centre routes are a bit tame now
Did the north face trail a few years ago. Didn’t really enjoy it.
The North Face is terrible; ok as a climb to get to the better stuff but the descents are crap.

Lovin your videos, great routes and great edits. Would it be possible for a GPX for this route?
Bill Turner thanks bill. I’ve just added a trailforks link in the description. You get get the gpx file free from there. There is also a Strava link
@@TrailFinder Brilliant cheers
The north face trail is a joke
It’s not great. But luckily the bridleways and paths are amazing
