this kind of massive tower characters being needed also hyper speeds up power creep. with characters like s17 needing to be such a tower he introduces such power creep. this leads to upcoming characters needing to be even better than him.
if they spread out releases like not doing 5 son family buffs in a row characters wouldnt need to be as good slowing down power creep.
the level this upcoming freeza or coora will have to be is honestly terrifying.
As yes can't wait to see the said reveal unit to have endurance, cancel enemy buff effects, 170% inflicted damage upon battle start,anti blast armor card, lock in and heck they'll probably add faint or paralyze somewhere in the kit too.

Funny that I just started the video and I see no God KI among those teams. Just speaks volumes on how forgotten that team was ever since Rev UI came out. No, UGB, UVB, UI Sign don't count, they are leader slot units 'til the next release that power creeps them replaces them in "God Ki", since they don't buff the tag. Heck even Vegeta family got like 100x times the amount of buffs God Ki got the past year.
Neither ULUI or Evoken directly buffing God Ki through their Z-Ability (the latter technically does but it's the 18% stat) is bizarre unless they outright want to retire that tag similarly to GIrls. I was talking about it with one of my friends who likes to use the tag about it and how 2/3rd of the direct gacha God Ki buffs throughout last year were irrelevant EXs.

I would say that these happens because of their character release choices, like for example they start a Frieza Saga campaign and release a super Saiyan Goku, they start a universe reps campaign they release another Goku, so what happens is they indirectly buff the same team through different campaigns. Now imagine if that Super Saiyan Goku was instead a final form Frieza, wouldn't that fit the theme and also buff the weaker teams?

I think they should change the tag system and make it to where the new character is only viable on one tag. Like Ultra UI should have buffed Uni Reps but he just made son fam broken instead of making Blue Goku and Vegeta more fun to use.

This is why I say, instead of having EXs be these elusive rare unicorn pulls that have *0* functionality in PvP and, at this point, even PvE, they should increase their individual pull rates (by plucking out the 4+ year old EXs from the summoning pool), release three or so of them per new unit banner that fill in for neglected tags, and make them up to par with 1% SPs like Android 16. Maybe with _slightly_ lower stats they aren't straight up replacements for 1% SPs.
Would they use older, rinky dink models and animations? Yeah. But if they aren't able to release shiny new LFs and Ultras for _every tag_ every couple of months, then that is their best option if they want PvP to be any semblence of fun and varied. I'd rather run a team of recycled models and animations than not run some tags at all outside of challenge runs where you have to dig up units from Triassic fossil beds for tags like Female Warriors, Super Warriors, or, like, take your pick of any of the Saga tags aside from Movies or DB.

Transforming Purple Cooler zenkai is an option maybe devs will choose to counter ultra ssj2 Gohan. He had monstrous defense stats compared to other characters when he was released.
This problem somewhat exists in dokkan. We just had a MASSIVE jump in bosses power and tho we got ani units and ezas to balance that out but most 2023 characters became so dummy unusable because some of them are bad on their own. examples being TEQ Trunks,AGL Kale(she only has a team on global because of global ezas that JP is gonna get in 4-5 months),STR Super 17, AGL Super Buu, PHY Turles, INT Goku, and so on. And most ezas and banner units were already super iffy and situational so they became worse faster but after the trainwreck that was 2023 for releases we needed a massive jump in difficulty somehow. jump from 7th to 8th ani was not that bad because 2022 was far better with releases(still had a lot of problems with side banner units and eza`s and even some main units like Radits and some other) V&T,gammas,PTP goku,SS goku,yamcha,beastless and piccolo,STR Goku they all were still really-really good going into 8th ani,but we just got such a massive jump from 8th to 9th that the best are no longer good.
To be fair id say only one is still viable unit which is gt spirit bomb from 8th not saying hes great, but id still say hes an option id choose. Also all the characters that u listed off were all terrible units on release due to them having like no teams at all besides kale, which as youve said they’ve only buffed her recenty. Banner units as youve said were iffy, the only noticeable side banner is probably golden frieza but thats just straight up 9th ani. Id say tho the power creep isnt as severe as legend tho since you can use other units like ones from 2023 like from worldwide units future gohan, vegito blue, and even zamasu. Ofc they’re not meta besides future gohan which i think hes still meta not sure so dont take this for granted. Besides i just want to mention something off topic even if u get shafted either way eza exsists, and if u orange piccolo which most probably do if not you can use *beastless* gohan as their super hero leader skill and boom with 6th ani eza, str sign ui, and ssbkk w ssbe you already got a god damn strong team unlike legend where you cant make a meta team with just zenkais.

Dokkan has just become Legends 2.0 in terms of powercreep speed. They're outdating 90% of units every 6 months at this point and they've been doing that since 7th anni. But it's really picked up more speed since 2023. Guarantee, EZA Kefla, new Frieza, Phy Rose will look like jokes by the time WWC rolls around.Units after anni are just to powercreep Anni hard events. Then WWC powercreeps them. And then units between WWC and Anni get screwed by next anni. And then Anni units make even the WWC LRs look like bums within 4 months. It's such a lame cycle.
@@lancevance6346 i wouldnt say dokkan meta is as bad as legend since its not like ani units would fall off within 6 months as beast has been fallen off somehow in legends even tho he was in legends fest. Id instead say the units in dokkan would fall off around ani or ww which imo aint that bad since if u know when the powercreep happens is all you gotta know cause then u can save up. Unlike legends you have absolutely no clue when theres gonna be a huge powercreep like let’s be honest nobody expected super 17 to be tied to the best unit in the game. Ofc due to legends having a pvp system and dokkan not its worse for legend since pvp is its main focus and pvp in legends can be just straight up pain. U could not play pvp, but then youre just not playing the game anymore at that point.
@@DaoMao-kw8zk Yea but Legends always worked like that. Dokkan just became a worse game gameplay wise despite being PvE. We were perfectly fine how things were pre 7th anni. Nowdays, you better just summon on Anni,WWC,GW,Saiyan day, Tanabata to hope for atleast some level of longetivity , and the remaining majority of the year is intentionally made worse to not last. And now even big celebration units aren't spared looking at how last WWC units can already struggle in 9th anni events in many ways.

your explaination is perfect if the game wants to be balanced, but from money making standpoint and for a gacha game nonetheless...these big strong blocks characters fill two incentives:-
1. make people summon for the character of the tag they don't main...
2. not balancing out every team so that most people who main tags like (fusion warrior, vegeta clan, db etc) have to spend cc on multiple tag so that they have options for when some big strong character releases for these teams so that they stay comp or they just main the big three tags.
this combine with limited resources helps them to force some players to spend who want to stay relevant in the meta, giving equips which are broken is also another strategy. They purposely want this format to drain as much money as they can, that is the harsh reality for the players who love this game
Yea for example the amount of people who summoned on Gohan even if they don't main hybrids or son family is honestly RIDICULOUS. Every single motherf*cker has Gohan.
What will they do when their main tag will be buffed? No cc, a unit that will become unusable for their tag, and so on...

Drop combos in pvp is a big ass problem but not having an Ultra Jiren with the shallot element is also a big problem
Crazy take. A lot of old units need a zenkai. Units like green cooler, blue krillin, yellow kid gohan, purple spirit bomb goku, yellow pikkon, green ginyu, etc. 2 zenkais month, sometimes 3 is very slow. Also, other lfs never got their unique equipments like blue vb, revival gohan, yellow gogeta blue, mvp 17, red ui goku, etc.

I will say that when the 1st half of Legend's Fest 2023 dropped that's where the meta is sooo diverse for me.
Its cuz before 1st half of LF-2023 Super Janemba is so oppressive. When Tag SSBE Vegeta & SSBK Goku dropped atleast Janemba got 2 recent counters at that part (LF Pikkon & the Blue Boys)
Another problem with not spreading out releases is that it doesn't give people time to save up for the team they want to actually mainly use, and for the ones that are spread out it takes too long for them to be of literally any use to the point where the people who originally used them have given up on those certain tags. I don't really play the game much just because of these constant single tag buffs with characters that have too much to give due to these spread out buffs, and luckily they're gonna do something for GT so it isn't too filled up nor spread out and I like that, but for everything else it's one or the other which is stupid. The only other tag I can really think of that's given buffs consistently, but not a crap ton to where it's almost every month is movies. Are there a lot that are given each year and has it seemingly stayed consistent? Overall yeah, but it should be something closer to that than anything else. What this game is turning into is Red SSJ2 Gohan being copy-pasted through more meta-defining gimmicks rather than damage and then if you didn't get any of them you're at an immediate problem.
The problem I find is that, to my memory, there has never been a release that people have had fun fighting, unless they got that unit. I don't think anyone was chomping at the bit to fight BLU Beast Gohan, or EvoKaioken, or even Tag SS4s. It's as if no matter the unit, people are going to complain about them when fighting them.
I get what you're saying... but that's always going to be the case and isn't really an issue itself. The problem is when these new characters have very little to no counter play. This year's releases have become absurdly overpowered to the point where PvP is a nightmare. Too many units play the game for you while not allowing the opponent to play the game themselves. I'm speaking as someone who has these units. It still isn't fun.

The game needs to give more cc and make it more accessible. Constant power creep increases the amount of cc you need to use and the main ways to get cc require the new summonable units to grind efficiently making the game just feel like a chore when you aren't summoning for the newest character.
Also I feel like with the new releases because of all the "Giant Blocks" you are talking about they scrap creativity and instead focus only on the agenda resulting in SS2 Gohan situation where he has like 30 different mechanics that don't really make sense for him to have
Totally agree with you, and another really bad side effect IMO is combining those "huge block" characters with the leader slot. That helps you to build insanely powerful frankenstein teams (S17, Ultra Gohan, Goku/Bardok) and its horrible to play against (not fault of the players). I'm a very mid player and definitely have my skill issues, but man, after receiving two 80+ hits combos in a row, I don't have patience to look at my screen for 3 minutes.

If they can (1) do more all star (or mega rising, now, I guess) banners instead of monthly ultras, and (2) do less episode saga campaigns, they could likely get out of this predicament pretty quickly. The first because obviously it's easier to buff separate teams that need it if you release two characters instead of one. The second because for every campaign they ALWAYS release a protagonist character (which means Goku or Gohan). It's seemingly a necessity for these campaigns. Buu saga campaign? Goku. Frieza saga campaign? Goku. DB campaign? Goku. GT campaign? Goku. Cell saga campaign? Gohan.
If they were using the format of monthly releases prior to the introduction of monthly ultras and episode campaign, things would look much different- I think probably different for the better.

I can definitely see a pattern forming since the 1st year Anniversary, its been hinted to us since they stopped doing other non LF banners or even those Banners like the Ginyu force. They want what sells the most, so insert every form of the main character or characters and when they always sell cause shinny or strong, it creates this loop. We saw it with BLU Vegito due to them having to revamp the WHOLE PVP SYSTEM. Its money first, balance later. I think after this celebration, we might get another PVP change since its been a while since we got one (Proud dont count haha), especially since tackles/passive play is too strong now.

The real biggest problem in Dragon Ball Legends is Goresh not revisiting a certain LF RED PO Unit.
Vegeta clan deserves an ultra, and a little bit if diversity in character release.
How about making super warrior a team. It has been a while a good krillin has been released. Tien in cell saga was the most badass fighter stopping 2nd form cell. Make a sparking. How about a buff for future, because it has been a while. Lf baby is the next best option. How about a gotenks. An lf rishi, lf toppo.
They can even tag Shadow dragon (like the ginyu force) and release lf omega shenron
What's funny is I have been saying this for a while now to my friend and he disagreed with me. I told him that adding to strong of buffs, especially ones that consistently counter a new character, frustrates people.
this is just an assumption but, not buffing all tags constantly and having a balance in the game isn't due to incompetence, it is because if they did that, they won't make the money they need to make... it is probably the unfortunate truth behind the imbalance between all these tags more often than not. What's more hype? What will people summon more for? UL Ui and UL Gohan (Son Fam) or UL Piccolo and UL Cell (Regen and Androids)? And I do know a lot of people like those other units like Piccolo, Cell, etc... But there is no universe in which those are making better numbers than Goku and Gohan.
At the end of the day it is a gacha. So there will be op units without balance in perpetuity

You didn't think in the money they make by buffing those teams. It's the motive. Just bussiness. Simply, the people enjoy more some tags than others, they just want a Goku, they will spend more money on those.
The oldest LF units with no zenkai are:
Yellow LF Gogeta Blue
Blue LF LSSJ Broly
Yellow LF Future Gohan
Blue LF Kid Buu
Red LF Corrupt Zamasu
Purple LF Revival Gohan.
(These are all below DBL40. The only Zenkais after that for LFs so far are Purple Jiren, Yellow Bardock, and Blue SoH Trunks)
Future Gohan and Corrupt Zamasu could be very powerful Zenkais once they release
So as long as we get good units along with them, for example a LF Future Trunks VS the androids, or LF Tag Zamasu and Goku Black. Followed by potentially an Ultra Future Gohan, Ultra Super Saiyan Rage Trunks, Ultra Fusion Zamasu, or Ultra Corrupt Zamasu, we would be set for Future

Its the same old shit every year. Either Hybrids or Fusions or Androids or Future or UNI REPS become the dominate team in the game and others are left dry or struggling. I would bring up movies but Movies should just be changed to Movie heroes cause Movie villains are flat out ass besides Janemba
The busted units they release have to cover more tags and the 1% has to be one of each tag. For example they go back to the 3 unit banners release a busted Trunks bc he's on 3 team then alongside him you put out a future, hybrid, or Vegeta fam unit. Most characters can be on at least two teams. If the 1% in this example is like Rose, Vegeta, and Goten you now have also helped God ki saiyans and son fam
When you talked about super 17 you forgot that he is a fusion warrior so you shouldn't put a block in fusion warrior that puts them over movies
Hopefully the nemesis campaign will be varried. Like, a Saiyan saga Vegeta and freeza banner. Loe gets buffs, freeza force gets buffs, Vegeta clan gets buff. Saiyan would too, but that's unavoidable in dragon ball. They could then do a cell/Buu banner. Regen, future, and androids get buffs.

I'm gonna laugh if it's just another Movies Campaign but in the guise of a Powerful Opponents Campaign like they did that with LL Final Form Cooler and well you can tell what happened next immediately made useless thanks to Beast Gohan right afterwards
I very much agree that Legends just LOVE over buffing a Tag continually but what's happening rn is the same as last year Pre and durring anni. Unirep just could NOT stop getting buffs. 3 LF's, 4 sp and 1 ultra. Future also got decently buffed with 2 ultras.
So realistically I think a balance meta will return after Anni. Not saying it's happening. Just forecasting since anniversary is still ambiguous in characters rn.
another problem is the lack of respect for 1% sparking units during GT campaign.
they could have make GT best tag in the game without making super-c17 broken if only they made pan/guill/trunks and bra/vegeta at least playable. even waifu and vegeta clan would have benefitted of that.

Honestly the way Legends handles its unit releases is extremely annoying, for multiple reasons
1) There's a massive imbalance in which tags get buffs and the frequency of said buffs. Last year alone gave SON FAM like 15 different Goku-related upgrades for example, while Vegeta Clan got like... Two shitty f2p units everybody forgot about a week later
2) Not every LL gets an accompanying 1% SP. And when they do, they're not always good enough like YEL FP Roshi or PUR Bulla. And if you didn't pull one - good luck, you won't see it added to the general pool for like 6-8 months by which time they'll be completely power crept. Meanwhile Ultras don't have any side units at all, and Rising banners are a rarity now
3) When a tag does get out of slumber, their newest LL or Ultra has to be game breaking essentially, Super 17 being the most recent offender of such a phenomenon
4) What abiut smaller tags? Girls never had a chance to shine, where are LL characters like Kefla? Kids are forgotten, where's LL Goten? Super Warriors are a meme, why don't Tien/Krillin/Yamcha have an LL? It's been ALMOST SIX YEARS
5) Half the tags in the game are completely useless outside the kits for some super old EX and SP units from first year, when realistically they shouldn't even be shown in the tags list anymore
6) When saga centric celebrations are held, said sagas are just a disaster because saga teams aren't a thing (and will never be), and the new units more often than not buff tags that are already top tier
7) most Zenkais aren't good enough and just sit on the bench giving stat buffs to the units you'll actually want to run. They've also stopped doing EX Zenkais and instead just focus on SPs now, and LLs are severely lagging behind, missing out on their window for no reason at all
8) Multiple characters have next to zero representation (or don't have recent premium summonables)
9) Developers are reluctant to make more banners because they have terrible formats so people save CC for the better value releases like Ultras, when in reality it should be treated like dokkan where brand new SSRs just immediately go into the general pool on the next banner. Like it's been several months - why can't you still pull PUR Trunks, RED Cell or GRN Goku or PUR Ginyu outside their dedicated banners?
10) Dual LL releases happen only twice - once for Anniversary, once for Festival. So if a tag didn't get a buff, say, last month - hey better luck in April or whatever

They need to get rid of the Leader slot, so no more Ultra Gohan / Super 17 situation anymore.
For teams that get buffed and stopping for example like son family would be work if they remove that tag on like a really good character so you dont just pile up all the good characters into one good tag

Yeah they need to start spreading the buffs out, and it isn't even that hard to plan it, takes a few minutes to look at the meta and see who needs the buffs next.
So if they do an LF Frieza to buff LOE, they need a 1% SP that buffs future, then they could do a Future Zenkai to pump it a little more (LF CMZ), then a Dragonball/Regen Villain Ultra or second LF. i wish you had toutched more on the leader slot. What happens when a huge block is released and players can stack it on an already hugely buffed team? like super 17 with ultra ui and ultra gohan?

The biggest problem in DBL is it no lingers caters to any sort of F2P users. We should at least get one relevant Ultra per year. All F2P users are dead in the water as soon as new units come out.

my problem with the game is never being able to keep up if I don't do everything they give in terms of stones. I save for big anni/fest then wekks later a super 17 drops as the best character in the game and then gohan later who are better then big celebration characters and it's a f2p problem and not always grinding every content in the game

Not many people may want this but in the future i wish they would Zenkai awaken Dyspo red 🤔 cuz his ultimate stuns and he does great damage he's a great member on my team & the only thing that annoys me on legends is connection on raids & getting the wrong opponents who I'm sure are bot accounts cuz I've been getting a lot of opponents with characters that didn't have no equipments
The stupidly op units that takes the skill and fun out the skillless game already, the fact that it leans lopsidedly towards p2w players and basically leaves the kinda newer/newer players behind. The lack of events or how boring they are. Lack of free cc outside of story. Like therrs really no way to earn cc and then summoning on character who you really want for example i wanted super vegeta just because hes my favorite Dbz character and still haven’t gotten him, so it’s basically a lose lose situation because its barely anyway to earn cc and then its take so much time to earn them.
Shit like this just allows for the helper monster Lf being leader in the strongest team 😭
Biggest issue I would probably say is the lack of balancing. I can hardly think of any times where the game isn't in a state of being run against a cancerous character.
Like do you have fun against 17, gohan, uui, or bardock/goku
did you have fun against the tag droids, ugb, uvb, beasthan1.0, cooler, LL zenkai son fam meta, LL vb, rev gohan, usv, etc, etc, etc, etc
I also think the fact the meta shifts instead of grows as a whole really hurts the game
