The M4A3E2 "Jumbo" was a heavily armored variant of the Sherman tank introduced by the U.S. Army in 1944. Designed to counter the superior German tanks, it featured thickened armor and enhanced suspension, making it one of the most resilient tanks of its time. While its increased weight reduced speed and mobility, and its 75mm gun was less effective against heavily armored enemies, the Jumbo proved vital during key battles like the Battle of the Bulge. Its ability to withstand direct hits and continue fighting made it a significant asset despite its limitations.
