The best explanation for plantar fasciitis. Thank you very much. I recently increased my running mileage after resting for a few months and then I started getting pain after that. I stopped all activity post that but now I feel a small lump on my feet near the heel whenever I touch my feet to the ground. Though its plainless I can clearly feel the sensation and it irritates me a lot
OMG! I spent the day at the hospital yesterday for other markers besides my heel. I was all over this large hospital. By the time I got home 7 hrs. Later, I was in such pain, the tears just ran! I have a lot of allergies to pain medication, and the best I could do was Tyrol. Even though I have OxyContin, I can’t take it stops and slows my breathing. But boy is it painful. Can’t wait to see the doc, but scared to death of that shot 😂😱😱😱😱😱😱
Attacked the lower half of my arch, towards the heel, the first time and countless times since it was both heel and lower arch. Working my foot by rolling a can or a tennis ball usually painful, but helped during a flare of it Walking stairs was often a trigger for me.
So everyone always mentions the heel pain, more commonly experienced when first stepping out of bed. But my pain is ONLY in the mid part of the plantar fascia and not at the heel. Using the diagram at 5:20, on diagram B. my pain is in the long narrow section or on diagram C. the 14% area. And to be more specific it's more between the dot and 14% half of that section. With no heel pain. And the times I experience this pain is in short spikes of pain when walking when my foot is about to leave the ground behind me with my heel in the air and my toes still touching the ground or about to lift off the ground. So I am not sure if what I am experiencing is plantar fasciitis, I assumed that it was. I am not sure if the percentages in that diagram are areas where people experience pain instead of the heel pain or in combination with the heel pain.
How does stretching help with the healing process if the condition is caused ny microtears of the structure? Seems to me that stretchibg would cause more tearing.
Am currently suffering with this & must of watched every single video on YT. No one seems to have the answers how to get rid… the stretches don’t touch the sides 😖 it’s super draining!!
I’m running 70 miles a week. I can run through this pain in the heal. Should I? Or will I just injure myself. I need to get through this please let me know thank you very much
I had my first injection yesterday, and it was the most painful thing, but what hurts almost as bad is that by the next morning I am still hurting, the shot didnt last even 24 hours. what a waste of time, money, and extra pain. I will do surgery before I try anything else, just fix it and be done. Peace
I've had plantar fascia release on both feet and heel spurs removed. I have since religiously worn high arch orthotics (which have helped with my foot and knee pain). But now I'm hearing all this conflicting info claiming arch supports are bad for you, etc, etc. And that the longer you wear them, the worse it is because your foot gets weaker and stiffer. The arguments for both sides make sense. I don't know what to do =/
I've heard that. I think high arch people are prone to pf. Who strengthens their arch to prevent pf? Tight calves and not stretching them caused me to get pf. I had it yrs ago and I put large arch supports in shoes and it was key to healing the pf. I got it last yr because of tight calves. I use good insoles with arch supports now but strengthen the arches and calf stretches. I use a heat pad on the calves b4 stretching and it makes a big diff. Good luck.
Wow - thank you, didn’t know what this was called. Had this for about 2 months in both feet into the lower legs. No real changes or causes prior. Resolved itself after a couple of months by using flip flops in the house, massaging by rolling my foot over a tennis ball, and taking ibuprofen. It as really really painful. Didn’t bother seeing the doctor as all he seems to want to do is give me cholesterol medication.
Thank you for your comment, this is the first time in my entire life I suddenly got this kind of heal pain, but now that I’m deeply massaging my calf, I am feeling tingles in the heel and it seems to be lessening which I would say indicates my heel pain is from the calf and not the bottom of the foot. Thank you!
I have plantar fascitis from walkinh alot it only hurts when i put alot of pressure on it like running but its much easier to walk but its very uncomfortable
I had a problem with plantar fascitis and plantar fasciitis. the pain lasted for about a year. it hurt so bad that I thought about amputating my leg. I tried various therapies - wave therapy, plasma therapy with my own blood, started using orthopedic insoles, went to physical therapy, bought massage balls, received cortisine injections, tens device, night splint. nothing helped. THE ONLY THING THAT HELPED WAS A HOMEOPATHIC MEDICINE AND THAT "HEKLA LAVA E LAVA, D30 or some other potency, tablets
@@sevvaiwoodpressedoil within a few days the pain decreased. I used it for about 3-4 months and the pain went away. homeopathy has no side effects. and that's the only thing that helped me. I recommended the same to several people and they all reported that they had good results. now I only use it sometimes after long walks. bottle, at least in the EU costs €9-10.
Is it curable? I have used NSAIDS for 2 weeks they completely remove the pain but their side effects are HORRIBLE. I stopped after 2 weeks thinking that they are only symptomatic treatment. Should I try for 6 weeks?
Hello doctor, is it common for a chiropractor to use laser? Pain is still there but experiencing different kind of pain now. This feels like a nightmare. I hope it goes away. 10% of population is a small number but the road to recover is like a 100% long journey. I am not a fitness freak. I just want to be able to walk normal again and feel normal again. Skaters have no PF, they on their feet all the time.
It might be worth considering seeing a podiatrist (footcare specialist!) over a chiropractor. Laser can be used as a treatment to bring a chronic condition back into the acute phase to assist with healing, but ultimately not the 'first line of defence' for treating plantar fasciitis. A podiatrist will be able to diagnose and treat you for your foot pain :)
Hi thanks for sharing. I tried to add you on Facebook but failed. Someone/agency is using your videos to make a profit. How can I send you more details?
I got a pair of Tread Labs. They had 4 different arch heights available and I got the highest. Seems they could have been even higher to unburden the plantar fascia and let it recover.
A podiatrist will be able to prescribe you an orthotic insole if one if required, but they might advise some lower cost treatments first which could be really beneficial

This is by far the most thorough and accurate explanation I found so far … I have this condition and I hope I will get rid of it
most informative video on youtube regarding Plantar Fasciitis (heel Pain). Thank you

Thanks, I have had this off and on but never had it explained as well as you do.

As a seronegative spondyloarthropathy patient, this condition was some of the first symptoms of it that manifested almost thirty years ago.
Attacked the lower half of my arch, towards the heel, the first time and countless times since it was both heel and lower arch. Working my foot by rolling a can or a tennis ball usually painful, but helped during a flare of it Walking stairs was often a trigger for me.

Heel pain can also be caused from knots in the mid calves.

First time I was hiking with stiff soled boots so the pf was heavily burdened. 2nd time because I neglected to stretch the calf muscles.

Changed shoes to barefoot style 😢😢😢
Big mistake
I have it from running in a non-barefoot shoe after not wearing them for a long time. It’s not the shoe style it’s the change.
