Great shots. Metropolis film on a rainy day in NYC is absolutely epic!
Thanks Edward
Sweet shots, looking forward to seeing more of your autumn in NY series!
Thanks Bas!
Great shots. Love Metropolis. Such a fun film.
Thanks Christina - I really like this film too
Sweet, really suits the city, and that's a nice roll from a single location.
Thank You
The conditions suits that film perfectly. Thanks for sharin
Thanks Tony
you are very talented. loved the shots of the cables looking up to the sky. cheers
Thank You
Beautiful shots on a rainy day!
Thank You!
Beautiful photos. Everything just came together perfectly with the film, the subject and the weather.
Thank You
Great shots! Really captures the vibes of the city👍
Thanks Joe!
On the other hand, with this film you can also transform a place with bright, saturated and vibrant colors into a desolate, sad place. A wedding couple outside in a happy mood in a beautiful location shot with weak colors and strong contrasts would look a bit strange. The photos would have a different context with this film. It would be the wrong choice of film for a real wedding, but it would be interesting for a photo project.
Great combo -- NYC in the wet and gloom, and Lomo Metropolis! Reminds me of photos from the 'Parade Magazine' sunday newspaper supplement in the 1980's -- when the color images would fade a bit after a week or two. Awesome!
Parade Magazine - that does go back a few years - Blast from the past!
Absolutely beautiful images Dave! Love how Metropolis looks in the Metropolis ❤ and the rainy day adds to it, especially love the umbrella shots
Thanks Molly!
Love love these! I havent shot with this film because I have never liked the look but your images have changed my mind! Your pictures show what this film is really for. I really enjoyed looking at these ❤
Thank You!
Great shots! Metropolis worked super well here. Love the one at 2:15 with the pink umbrella, that rendered super well.
Thanks Alex - I really like the grit of Metropolis for cityscapes.
Great video Dave! Admittedly, I don't know much (ok, anything) about film photography, but I really like the look of this film! Love those purple tones!Fantastic.phoros! Hope all is well, have a great week!
Thanks Paul - Hope you have a great week too man!
Liking it
Great pictures. It has such a 1940's color film look to it. I will have to try some now.
Thanks Shelton - it is a really fun film stock.
These photographs are absolutely gorgeous !!! I have a roll of this I'm desperate to shoot - just waiting for the perfect location- Amazing video thank you
Thanks man!
Iconic shots - film aptly named.
Thanks Scott
Lovely! :)
Thanks Sina!
would that be the Brooklyn Bridge? great shots as always.
Thanks Don - Had a great time walking the bridge from Brooklyn into Manhattan
Lovely video. You got some great shots!
Thank You!
Nice shots again Dave. 👌
Thanks Andy.
lovely shot at 2:20 beautiful framing bro
Thanks Nick
I have not shot this film, but it certainly has the look of a ' bleach bypass ' processed C41. It can be quite effective if the subject and the lighting is right.
It definitely can give off that gritty bleach bypass vibe.
Great shots! I have only shot Metropolis once in Osaka, Japan and loved some of the frames. Why didn't I love all of them? Because I accidentally shot the same roll twice and many of the frames didn't line up. 😅 I ended up with 2 developed rolls of Metropolis and one was double exposed and one was blank. 😂
Did a film swap with yourself! Thanks man
@@theoldcameraguy That's a fact. After that I had to move away from my habit of leaving the leader out for easier development. Now I make sure it gets wound back into the canister. 😅
What about lomochrome color 92?
I haven’t tried that stock yet
@@theoldcameraguy i think you should, its very interesting and i am wondering how youd, shoot it, i like the way you take shots as well
@@starwars101917 Thanks
