Hey Michael, can’t say as I have ever seen so many modifications that work so well from at least three or four of your Hustler Mower videos. Keep up the good work, bud. Thanks for all the info and your insights into how to make this all work.
I didn’t like how the fenders look , I did some changing to the fender with the cutting disc, I will show them in the next video, I call them fender shields now. But it doesn’t keep the grass off the deck like it did before I cut it.
I did those front fenders in 2015 made of HDPE that covered just the tread area from the front to the rear about 3" from the ground. Worked great other than moving up and down over abrupt curbs so I removed them. Not to mention how hidious the neighbor said they looked. I didn't mind them too badly but his comment said time to take them off and build the deck skirts which works great and doesn't look bad. I think yours looks great. Good video Sir.
While I think the fenders are useless for those tires, I do like how they look. I think it would be time better spent if you put a deck-cleaning hose nozzle on the deck..
I don’t like those deck-cleaning hose you can cause your deck bearings to rust and wear out quicker, if they was any good you would think the commercial mower would have them. That’s just my opinion, Thank you for watching an commenting.
It is safe to drive , I have drove it around in garage check clearance between the deck wheels an fenders I will take it a test drive tomorrow I will let you know , how it work ,Thank you Ron for watching. I will comment on here tomorrow about it.
I did my test drive this morning, it did a great job, I did made a little adjustment between the right fender an deck wheel, than took it second test drive no problems an no grass on the deck. You have a great day Ron.
Awesome thanks for sharing this video and I am going to try this out on my hustler 48 I did the oil change hose and it works great next is raising the steering bars have a great day looks like a mowing weekend here TCB
