mfw the world is better than any other time period in almost all metrics, things feel worse because you are infinitely blessed and the smaller problems therefor seem bigger. For example, if it was 1980, you simply would not have lowkey youtube videos with other drifters to talk to eachother and enjoy at a moments notice from anywhere on the planet at any time. Your food factually makes you stronger and smarter despite people bitching about food dyes you are wayyy less vitamin deficient and fed. Mental health as a science hardly existed outside academics and asylums. Sexual and racial freedom were non existant. Crime was worse. Music itself outside of the technology we have ... now that might just have been better.

@@landonsss8114 "mfw" I can't even express myself outside of some trite meme format because my existence is so tied to the screen in front of me that I'm convinced things are better than ever since I live a totally manufactured reality as the world rots around me. As long as I can suckle at the teat of my electric mother whose many faces assure me nothing is wrong, there's no sense being upset or dissatisfied. As long as my efforts/circumstances allow me to keep the box mother and I live in, and her food delivered through our walls, I'll spare no expense; I'll pay any price, no matter how high it gets. I'll go hungry if it means mother can eat. She protects me from the strife outside. If I ask her, she might tell me stories about the outside world...but those are scary, even if she tries to hide the truth sometimes. I mostly just ask her for fun stories and games! Who wants to be bogged down by tales of confusing and distressing things like homelessness, joblessness, hyperinflation, loss of personal ownership, and the overindulgence in decadence by people with much bigger boxes than are causing measurable and visible harm to our planet? BAH! Mother shows me LOWKEY RUclips VIDEOS and allows me to defend her from strangers who dare scrutinize the situation that has allowed me this wonderful life with her! She emboldens me to make barely relevant and wholly unsubstantiated claims at them! HOW CAN THINGS *BE* ANY BETTER?!
