Gotta love the entitled comments on these videos Complaining that Socratica made a tutorial about how to use Something that Costs Money. Newsflash: Things Cost Money. Not everything is free. People waste money all over the place: iphones, Starbucks, car leases. Mathematica is worth it to me. You feel differently, so can you just go away and let those of us who are interested actually learn from our FREE tutorial?
It is an unfortunate response. We use this tool, Mathematica, all the time, so we want to share our knowledge and experience. There are many things we spend money on to run our company: we buy powerful editing workstations, and we license software from Wolfram and Adobe, and that's just to start. We would not be able to do the work we do otherwise.
Very disappointed that Socratica are effectively promoting Mathematica. It's pricing model is extortionate and exploiting the unique position in the marketplace. Users are hooked into this system once they learn to use it, offered for free initially and on the Raspberry Pi just to hook you in. Even the Home/ Non commercial use is expensive.
