Russia remains the biggest country in the world, so what do they have to prove so badly, to destroy theirselves over taking territory of another country?
The longer this war goes on, the more I learn about it, the more confused I am as to why the russians keep doing this. They have got to be clinically insane. If they stop, Ukraine will also stop attacking russia and everything can slowly be build back up. So what is stopping them? They want more and more destruction?

Thanks Anna for another report. I saw a video where the regional governor of the area was saying that the drones attacked, air defense worked, some debris fell and 'set a few fires, emergency crews were there, people were being evacuated, the situation is under control and the statement ended with "everything is going according to plan. The statement was delivered outdoors and the entire time he was talking you could hear ammo cooking off. It was punctuating his sentences very eloquently.
I will write my federal officials AGAIN and ask them to please LET UKRAINE STRIKE BACK !!

I think it started with the Budapest Memorandum ~1996 giving up nuclear missiles for being a Sovern nation being agreed to via Russia, and much of NATO
That one had a literal battlefield nuke rigged to a missile hitting an ammunition factory near Donetsk. Had the classic blinding bright white light flash and secondary fireball that grows brighter. A buddy of mine was recording the chaos when it happened and it blew out the window and set the nuclear radiation detectors in his apartment off. It got covered up and memory holed. 😮

When that weapons depot was first built, the Russians released propaganda vids that made the depot seem indistructable. They never thought that one day a drone could cause a 30 kiloton blast that wiped out the whole joint at once. This goes to show you just how wrong the Orcs really are. Slava Ukraine!! I share your sentiment but that was not a 30 kt yield blast. A 30 kt yield would be just a smidge less than the COMBINED yield of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombs. The actual estimated yield for the depot explosion was 1.3-1.8 kt of TNT. That would still make it one of the largest non-nuclear explosions yever.
It shows the reality of corruption. Making actually secure concrete bunkers is expensive. Much cheaper to fake it and pocket the difference.
@@noname-ll2vk I'd guess that the real problem wasn't shoddy construction, but putting too much in it. I think Ukraine sent the drones when it realized.
@@BaddeJimme suchomimus just did a satellite image analysis of the blast. Many allegedly nuke proof storage bunkers blew up. Many others are damaged. The regular warehouses are vaporized but many new heavy structures supposedly indestructible are destroyed. That's what corruption looks like.
The guy who was responsible for making those upgrades was recently arrested for corruption. Which of course is an odd charge to bring in a system corrupt top to bottom like Muscovy empire.

Russia says that they shot down all the drones in this attack but it was the fragments from the shot down drones that caused the damage. Which is rather like admitting that their defence system is more dangerous than the enemy's drones. This should be very reassuring to the Russian public !!

Ukraine is developing its own cruise missile and is being strongly supported by Western companies that have already developed cruise missiles. It is to be hoped that development will soon be completed and that Ukraine will then be able to deploy them as it wishes.
They already developed a tactical ballistic missile equivalent to the Iskander as well.

The bunkers should have been built with reinforced concrete-they were not.
Someone gifted themselves some bonus money by using a substandard cement which did not protect the munitions adequately.
