Russia region orders evacuation after Ukraine drone attack | BBC News

- A partial evacuation has been ordered in Russia's Tver region after a "massive" Ukrainian drone attack sparked a fire there, the local governor has said.
Igor Rudenya said emergency services in the town of Toropets were trying to "localise" the blaze caused by falling drone wreckage. He did not say whether there were any casualties.
Unverified footage has emerged purportedly showing a massive blast in the town. Video footage circulating on social media showed detonations and smoke covering a large stretch of sky.
AFP and Reuters news agencies have quoted Ukrainian sources as saying an ammunitions warehouse had been struck.
The military site reportedly housed fuel tanks, as well as artillery shells, ballistic missiles, and explosives, in a series of warehouses. These are all weapons that have been used in Russia’s relentless full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

i am a Berber from Algeria (a country which has nothing to do with this conflict) but if i could voice my opinion which has no effect or weight in the grand shceme, i would say that Russia is the main Agressor in this conflict and should withdraw its troops from Ukraine/Crimea. Russia is the largest country in the world and there should be no reason for it to aquire more land. Afterall, Russia seems it is forgtting it also has land on European soil (Kaliningrad). And with regard to Ukraine's independence, Russia signed the agreement to give Ukraine its freedom in 1991. The only explanation for Putin's invasion is Greed. Putin claims he hates the West and Europe but his constant invasion attempts since 2014 proves otherwise, Putin is hypocrite. and let us not forget Russia's meddling/colonisation in Africa just like France and western powers were doing centuries ago.

As the correspondent states, this was no warehouse but a massive arsenal complex that could have stored up to 30,000 tons of missiles and ammunition, such as artillery, rockets, bombs, and guided missiles. Source is the Russian Defense Ministry itself whose representatives stated that each individual bunker could pack 240 tons and the size of the complex can be viewed on aerial photographs that attest to its scale. When it was newly constructed in 2018 the ministry boasted that the arsenal was built with no expense spared to maximize security and safety to consolidate a strategic stockpile of munitions. What could have hit it is still a question since the hardened bunkers could not have been penetrated by the normal Ukrainian drones (?) and it should have been beyond the range of even Storm Shadow, SCALP, or ATACMS but Russians themselves claim it was a Ukrainian drone attack.
That must make Putin a Despo
