The "guy covered in hay" was wearing a mino, a straw rain cape. He was also wearing an oni mask and carrying a carving knife. That makes me think he _has_ to be a namahage. Namahage are spirits or ogres who are portrayed by men in that costume during New Year's Eve festivals, going around to houses searching for (i.e., scaring) lazy, naughty, or disobedient children. My guess is that he is searching for the boy, who arguably is not keeping to his proper place--he's playing truant from the afterlife and being "disobedient" by confining the spirits of his elders. However, he can't reach the boy, who is safe in the shrine room, so he lashes out at anyone he sees. (However, he could also represent the mother's cruel punishments of the girls or just a hapless festival actor who came to the house and was trapped and killed.)
The unknown key is a mystery. It's an old-fashioned key, different from the regular house keys, and it was found in the temple area. That makes me think that if it fits anywhere, it would be in something around the temple.
Yes, I mentioned in the previous video that the straw rain cape and oni mask is probably a Namahage. I didn't realize you posted that here. It fits the theme of the game to have one there. Very interesting.
I think the unknown key is supposed to be used with those little doors as a possible fast travel. Kind of a random thought but I always saw the little keyholes and wondered what those little doors were for.
dude, when you see the ghosts for the first time they're really creepy and cool but when you see their animations trying to turn around and not being able to enter rooms they're so ridiculous
If you have the mysterious key at the end in that special safe room there is a door with like a camera power up that helps with the end boss.
"A key! is this storage key? Hoaa, it's the storage key! No, wait is this a storage key TOO? It's storage key two ! Hehehe!"
This is why I like Gab's playing game.
The big ghost makes me think of the spirits in Silvio. This game seems so simple but I think the atmosphere and the presence of the two invincible ghosts stalking you makes for great creep factor.
The Japanese have always been great with the horror genre being able to nail the aesthetic and atmosphere and that’s why I’ve always loved fatal frame and this game is great as well
Usually watching you play horror games doesn't scare me but for some reason this scared the SHIT out of me! This game was awesome!

This was good, I MEAN VERY GOOD!!! The sound the gameplay, everything was amazing! I've been watching your Fatal Frame videos; fatals 4-6 actually cuz I'm considering getting a WiiU ( if I can find one ). Anyway, my favorite so far is Fatal 5, the ghosts in that game are like sick wicked!!! Your problem solving skills are impressive; you should have been a detective! So the two normal girls were the daughters, the big guy the father, and of course the mother was the mother. I wonder if a different ending will reveal who the straw guy is? Or maybe he's a hook for a sequel?

There are things I could complain about but when you realize that it's only 5 bucks on steam it's actually really good for a 5 dollar game. The environment was really well done. 5 bucks don't even buy you a dinner in a lot of restaurants. To put together that much for that price point is pretty good. On a side note I have not lost hope of fatal frame being brought over to the switch. If not a new one at least the old ones ported over. I never got to play 5. Watched your play though. Never had a wii u. I'd be up for playing a port on switch. However, if they did a new one and actually put the work into it that it deserves people would lose their minds. It would be a decent seller I think if the development was done right and given proper marketing. I would want a physical copy though. Hold in my hands fatal frame six just burn your pants cause you will need new ones after playing this game edition.
i love this playthrough! your interpretations of games and the way you go about things is usually something i either wouldn’t do or wouldn’t even think of, so it’s very interesting to watch you play

After finishing the gameplay, I've got one primary complaint, and that is having limited inventory slots. Its painful to see you backtrack to & fro, instead of having a lot of the items on hand to progress smoothly through the areas. Otherwise, its a fairly good game. Thanks for playing this.
you saved the family with the "wushi-wusch" :D love the gameplay XD I always loved the fatal frame games, but was always to scared to play them, I tried the second one once, but was too scared xD so it is nice that you always play these horror games, so we can watch them XD still getting scared of course, but playing them is much more scary XD

This game has even worse inventory space than Resident Evil....Plus there's soooooo many closets. Half the ghosts are probably lost because they can't figure out where the exit is.

This is an interesting "Indie Horror Game". What I really like is the sound of this game here in your video. I have a new soundbar here and I am sitting in the center of the room. All the effects here are coming over me so I feel that I am in the game. That is amazing. And the sound of the "big guy" is crazy when he is coming. Thank you for upload Gab. Thumbs up.

I think the unknown key was just to let you access the redo safe room during the boss fight. There was a small keyhole on the tiny door. If you didn't find it, I don't think you would of been offered the 2nd wind in the boss fight

The Unknown Key is physically smaller than the Storage Keys. Disclaimer: I did not watch the beginning of this game but I do not think I missed much. I got the gist of this game pretty quick. Throughout this video though, it seemed the Storage Keys were used to open locked doors so I did not think the Unknown Key would open a door. My first though was a music box until Gabs asked about a lockbox somewhere.
I think the main questions I have are mechanics related: Why does out character gets all wobbly and disoriented when using the camera? Is there no way to increase your inventory space? For seems like one space too small.

Everytime that tall guy makes an appearance, it scares the kabuki out of me. I am at 26:34 so far and just had a big jump of fright lol. The one covered in shrouds not as much but that tall guy always. I wonder if there is info on the characters because I would like to know who those ghosts are.
