I would also like to give a big shoutout to NeverLastStanding, Strigidae, St. Pinkie, ExplodingPonyToast, the PMV community and people I have met in BronyCon this year, and BronyCon themselves. Not forgetting the people in the community that has shown so much passion in creating stuff for others to see. I salute you all.
This video certainly doesn't cover everything, even if the year hasn't been very welcoming for the community to many of us, but I hope this video give all of us hope that we'll grow stronger into 2019. I love all of you guys. You are not alone.

So... we as a family... in the My Little Pony fandom, including the staff at Hasbro, has decided that this generation must come to an end with a new one beginning. It's been an absolute FANTASTIC journey with all of you.
Next year, is going to bring a lot of emotions. We know this. Sadness, happiness, pride, love, anything you can think of, but just because the it's over physically, it's not over mentally. We will continue to think out new ideas, new stories, anything for the mane six to explore. And in doing so, it's going to bring the fandom together, One. Last. Time.
The show has been going on for 8 years. 9 years next year. And with that, we must say goodbye to our favorite ponies we've known and loved over these past 9 years. This journey, again, has been incredible, and I'm so proud of our fandom as a whole for creating so much more than just a 'kids show'.
I'm so proud of how far we've come as a family. And it's going to be sad seeing us all leave this journey behind and start a new one. This will bring new fans, new creations, everything. We will remain close. We will continue this fantastic quest we've gone on. Whether the show is over or not. I'm so proud to call this fandom my family. And I hope you do to. You all will bring amazing things to the next generation.

Come on! Who said that the fandom must end after the show is wrapped up? Nopony!
When my favourite creations (game franchises, TV series or books) release their final episode, I would never look at them as somehing done for, something that should be left, but rather a complete product that I can celebrate in its full glory. You're never complied to stop caring about FiM after it's ended.
You can always care.
You can always celebrate.
You can always create.
You can always continue.
That's probably just a rumor that started with a misinterpretation of the quote "We're confirmed for another season and a half". Everyone said that G4 is going to end at certain points and they were all wrong. What makes this any different?
This is an incredible compilation. It truly showed off the creativity that this fandom has, and it really makes you emotional to see what has happened over the last year.
I'm proud of you, Kat. You've come a long way since we started talking over 3 years ago. Our friendship has grown leaps and bounds since then, and I couldn't imagine what my life would be like without you.

As I type this, I am sitting at an all you can eat buffet really close to where Seaponycon was held, wearing a badge I had bought at the con... This fandom has given me so much happiness and so many good memories and experiences. It saved me from a really tough time in my life and gave me a reason to smile and believe in friendship again. I can’t believe they’re ending bronycon... wow. Well, despite that we still have an amazing fandom we should be proud of. I’ve never been part of a fandom that gives out so much love and support. I’m glad to say this PMV captures so much of what this community stands for. I’m proud to be a pegasister. I hope we all continue to love this series, even long after it’s been finished
I wish I had the words to describe how I feel. This past year has gotten me involved and dedicated to this fandom than I have to anything in the past. I reached out with my talents and helped in small ways, whether in music tips, mediating on twitter or in my own projects, many of those actions I know will never be appreciated. And to see so many people losing hope is disappointing to me, seeing as the show and its fans continue to make flowers like my own bloom even during the fires of fear. This fandom has so much more power than we give it crefit for. I recently just watched the finale of Timeless, a show with a small but passionate fanbase that revived the show even after 2 cancellations. We are a fandom of more, producing and being more vocal than many other fandoms before. We will survive because we are dedicated. We are sharp. We have hope and have kept it even as others rebuke us. We have strength as long as we believe in our efforts. This complilation shows our strength. Let us be as @Thornwing or rather Scott Kinserly said at the conclusion of CMPC. Let our flame never die, us being Ambassadors of Friendship to the world. Even if some of us choose to lay down our arms, let the light of what we have learned shine from us all. We as a fandom will never die because the light of friendship is within us all. The fandom is not an entity separate from our own minds. We are the fandom. As we live, it lives in us. Never forget your light, for even the smallest spark of hope can burn down forests. We have all found that spark. It is our choice whether it rises to flame or is snuffed. We are the fandom.
What an amazing video for an amazing year. I can't even explain how much this fandom has changed my life over the past years, and I really hope it will continue to bring us all so much love, creativity and hapiness for the years to come. I know the video hasn't released yet, but I wanted to make this post regardless.
2018 in no uncertain terms has been an unnaturally terrible year all around.
While their have been plenty of good things that have occurred in this fandom this year, there have been just as many bad things.
So many conventions closing down, so much drama, scumbags like ToonKritic and Dusky Novel being exposed for who they are, and an uncertain future have left a bad taste in the mouth of a lot of people here.
I want to say that the brony fandom will be okay, we'll survive, we'll be okay. Even after the show ends this fandom will still be going strong. Even with the coming closure of BronyCon we'll be okay.
I love this fandom, even with its cringe, flaws and all, I still love it.
Here's to a better 2019.

I know its late for me to say this but I want the MLP to continue even I just started liking it and I just went Happy gone Sad when I just realized the MLP season is already over and the Bronycon 2019 is going to be the last one, I haven't even gone to a single convention of bronycon, this is way too sad knowing that I cant go abroad only for this convention. This may be the biggest of all events that the Bronycon will ever had so I only wish I could be there even a single moment only to witness this great ending for our favorite convention, Happy Bronydays to you all my fellow fans.

It really is a damn shame that Bronycon 2019 will be the very last one,but it won't be all bad because even though one mlp convention will be closing it's doors for good we'll still have other mlp conventions to pick up the slack conventions like Trotcon,Babscon,etc.
Sun Bitch So why is everyone saying G4 as a whole is coming to an end? They've said it numerous times throughout the series and they were all wrong. Sure, there has been major restructuring before, but that doesn't mean everything came to an end.
@@aycc-nbh7289 Because, well, it is coming to an end. It's been confirmed that season 9 is the last season for MLP:FiM, aka, G4. MLP, however, is still going to continue, of course, in G5. Although, *if* those leaked concept arts are correct, it looks like they're gonna be reusing the Mane Six in a different way. Granted, some of the Mane Six was even in previous generations and was revamped, etc.

Also, it seems as though they've moved production to a different studio, so maybe it's just the last season Hasbro will be involved.
I've also seen that the movie will be considered as G4.5, so maybe that's the animation style to be used later on; everything will simply follow the G4 canon.
Andrew B Even if it is the final season, it seems as though they may be turning their focus to doing short films rather than full-length episodes, so Seasons 10 and beyond could feature limited-length episodes.

i will come watch this video at the end of 2019 when g4 is over and the fandom is probably slowly dying. and when i do.. i will cry. this song is just a huge throwback for me since its my most heard track over my summer vaccation where i spent so much time watching, rading, talking about and look at pony stuff... jesus its gonna be sad. but gorgeous as well as a reminder of the beautyfull time here in this fandom.

TWO!: It took me 6 WHOLE DAYS to get myself together to watch this glorious peace of brony history.

But now more seriously, next year, next compliation and next tear-up for me. This is the second one I can relate to personally, as I joined the fandom much later than anypony else, but darn, is it a good ride! I'm also not going anywhere with my pony love, even long after Bronycon or even every con ends. It is eternal and I'll pass this story over to my kids once I have them and hopefully, it'll live past my own lifetime.
Im happy to be a Brony, and being part of this fandom it was great to see new friends, learn friendship and more. Without this id be different yet lonely right now. Being a brony helped me alot and i appreciated it. ^c^

I’ve long ago stopped watching MLP and being a part of the fandom, but I still like checking back from time to time to see what the fans, new and old creates, and to look back on nostalgia. While ponies aren’t as big as it was five or six years ago, so much has changed and It makes me happy that the brony fandom are still going big. Here’s to another year of ponies for 2019.

I have no idea whether it will end at all, but it has certainly left behind a legacy and a fandom. Elvis Presley said something along the lines of, "You die twice: once when you cease to live and once when everyone stops talking about you." Judging by this and the fact that some people are still making G3 fanfics, it will probably live on for a long time.
There are rumors that it's all going to end after season 9, but people have spread similar rumors after earlier seasons. I don't know who made the "G5 leaks", but I'm not sure whether or not they are official.
It's been quite a year, hasn't it? I can say without a doubt that the brony fandom is the best community I've ever had the pleasure of being a part of, and personally I hope to become more active as a brony myself and contribute creatively to the surplus of already existing art. It warms my heart to see this fandom still kicking almost a decade later, and with G5 on the horizon I can see a huge new wave of members and content to come with it. Here's to a new year. :)

I’m not really active in the fandom and I most just have been watching the show, the community and commenting were I can, but you would not believe how much I needed this right now. No one with me thinks or wants to help me get to BronyCon 2019 and I was starting to have my doubts, I’m just a freshman with no job and this is something that will only last a year, but being here for almost a year now seeing the happy community here, it’s better than any other fandom. Your right, we will last forever, we are a part of history we are the ones that changed peoples ideas on what it’s like when you grow up. You don’t you can stay a kid for as long as you like and still grow up physical. I will see you at BronyCon. I’ll do what ever it takes to get there. I don’t know what’s it like, how I’ll ever get there, or if it is really just some big colt, but I believe from all that I’ve seen that I should give it my best to make it to this last BronyCon.

Even though I'm not a brony anymore but I still respect you guys all the way and I feared for this since 2014 about the fandom throwing in the towel and the show too but you guys will live on and carry those things for what you are yes there will be a time that it will get old soon but that doesn't mean we have to stop thinking about it so I hope every each one of you will all save up your money save your plans to come to this convention one last time but if some of you haven't been to BronyCon this will be your first and last time and let next year to be a good and final memory to all of you

Yeeeees it's that time of the year again, the time to reflect at all the wonderful times we've had and all the wonderful creations and fan works made by the community throughout the year, thanks to your new video of that series! It's always SO much appreciated, and such a precious thing to have
We have come a long way, haven't we? And to think, I never would have been a part of this wonderful fandom if I hadn't remembered my roots and watched the first episode of the first season all those years ago. You see, when I was younger, my parents got me a Gen. 3 MLP game for my computer (I still have it to this day). Sure, things were different back then and I didn't really watch the show, but if I had not seen the very first episode of the new generation when it aired on Treehouse for the very first time, I never have met such awesome, creative, proactive, imaginative, motivational, inspirational, and respectful people that were meant to be part of both my life and my personality. MLP has changed my life, as well as so many others, in ways no one can really understand. You know that whenever you meet a fellow brony/pegasister, you know you'll both be on level ground just because of the fact you both love the show. While being part of this fandom is like being part of a united nation, I, myself, have found an alliance within the Brony Community that I can come to look to when I need to be reminded what I am fighting for. The New Lunar Rupublic. Since Luna is my favourite princess, the NLR is the perfect coalition that I can look to to help me set my mind straight and my focus on task so I don't deviate from who I am. I salute and honour those that have fallen, both from great heights and from Earth, both within and without the NLR. Kitty0706, someone Markiplier knew, everyone. Like the entire world looking at Vimy Ridge and remembering what we Canadians did for the world in both world wars, I look to those with such smiling, beautiful faces, and are reminded that thses are who I fight for. Not for money, not for bedmates, fame, glory, or power. All I care about is everyone that I can affect, influence, and touch. Friends, acquaintances, fellow community members, they all matter to me. If I were to lead the charge in a war, I'd follow in the footsteps of those that inspire me to fight and die by my friends and fellow fans. My honour will never allow me to watch as those great community comes burning down, either from within or broken down from the outside. My patronage is to my fellow bronies and pegasisters. And if you've got a problem with that, then you can shove it where the sun don't shine. I stand by my word as a brony. Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye. And that's a promise!!!

It‘s really amazing to see where we are now. From being mocked on every single corner of the internet to a staple of pop-culture, even setting an example of how to defy a gender stereotype. All the friendships forged, lessons learned from the show, and fan arts that thousands of fans created, I am really proud of where we are. Though 2018 has been a harsh year with many cons shutting down and so many people leaving fandom, I am still proud to be part of the fandom, and most importantly, being part of the history.
Oh man I didn't think I was going to tear up for this one but I did like just like I do for every one of your videos that you have done in the past, Thank you Daspacpony making these videos and letting all of us to remember theses memories especially after all if MLP is long gone we can just come back and watch these videos.
I cannot say if I'm looking forward to G5 or not, because yea... It will be something new, but G4 was, and will be unforgettable. Just give a little peak in the past, animations, music videos, songs and the whole fandom from beginning. I wish I could be in these golden years once again. Bronycon is ending but the sprit of the fandom will continue for centuries.
I used to be a man who has lost faith on everything including humanity itself as i saw humanity as this species of a bloodthirsty race who wants nothing but blood, death, and war, well that was what i thought about this race until i rediscovered this fandom. I have never seen such faith, such optimism, such hope before, which is something i have lost before, if it wasnt for this fandom, im not supposed to be alive anymore but this fandom gave me something i have lost before, so thank this fandom, thank you for showing me that this world is not that bad, i hope this fandom lives forever.
I can't wait for what's going to happen next year in the brony community. I also have a ton of projects in 2019,but I'm excited for what the other members have in store. The genuine reason and the only true reason why I love this fandom is because of talent and passion. I'm proud of being part of this wonderful community. I'll also see y'all at BronyCon 2019.
Ya know, I may rarely be seen in this fandom anymore, mostly because I moved on to other fandoms such as Voltron:Legendary Defender, I may not read the fnfics anymore, or watch the fanvideos, or even really look at the fanart, but My Little Pony:Friendship Is Magic will always, _always_ have a _very_ special, everlasting place in my heart. :). ☺.

Why this makes me wanna cry..
I've been in this fandom since the beginning, but sorta moved to other fandoms during season 5/6 but I still support it. And look how far this fandom had come to.
Whoever, wherever you bronies/ pegasisters(is that how you spell it) are, thank you for the wonderful journey, may we still live on.
I will really miss Mlp fim. May it rest in peace in cartoon heaven, the place where all the best shows with the best fandom anyone could ask for are.
May 2019 be a good year more us all and may season 9 have the best endings of endings.

How I would have liked to contribute something to the MLP fandom. Some decent fanart, some review, some parody, an animation, a remix of a soudtrack, something ...
But, I was just in fifth grade when I entered the fandom. A fandom that has brought me excitement, joy and problems in my social life.
I can not believe it's part of a wonderful place made up of people who do not see MLP as '' The little colored horses for girls ''. I left and came back, I finished season 5 until 8 this year. And now that it will soon be over ... I am determined to stay until the end, with all of you.
