I think it depends on witch rom you are using. I flashed this kernel on stock rom and it freezed at 71 and 69 Hz, but it worked on the 75 Hz. And now I flashed the same 71 Hz kernel on PixelPlusUI running A11 and it works like a charm. The only difference I noticed is the battery temperature, witch is considerably higher than with the stock kernel of my rom (silvercore kernel).
I used sestation v2(r2) 71hz with miui 10/11 & pe plus.. it worked like a champ.... Battery usage was acceptable coz it overclocks the gpu but experience was good...✌️✌️
How is it possible? After flashing the rom you need to flash dfe to avoid encrypting and overwriting the recovery. Dfe has root package. How come you don't have root?

Hi Munchy, I installed the Seshstation 71Hz kernel. It is working perfectly. Aida 64 reports 71 Hz as refresh rate but the refresh rate test on the websites show 60 Hz. But it feels faster. I don't know what is happening. Do you have any idea what is happening? I am out of my mind.

When I have a light black coloured window open it will show the previous screen below it in a burnt manner like the same as amoled burn in. Better don't do it to protect your panel from getting damaged as mine.

Just got around to trying this. Flashed the 65hz version (max available in the new edition is 66) and it works very well. But one question - is there any app to administer this kernel? Where do I change parameters if I want to? Right now my phone has the No Gravity Kernel app since NGK was my previous kernel.

You need to learn why supersu/superuser is not used after android 6 version..why magisk is using systemless app design.. lol ...for twrp to stick you need root, however, if you dont want twrp to stick and dont want root...you can boot into twrp from fastboot, flash the zip file to enable AOD and then reboot to system.
this way, you will have AOD, no root and stock recovery

Thats required taking permission from miui developers (device vendor), it you gone with standard procedure, if ur bootloader is unlocked.. Ur phone is rooted man.. Rooting means you have administrative permission to modify the Rom or kernel of the phone.
You need to learn why supersu/superuser is not used after android 6 version..why magisk is using systemless app design.. In IOS if you unlock the bootloader that process is called "jailbraking", that is brother of rooting in android.
So next time TWRP = required root ..
