Mother Gaia actually plays a very intrical part in this story. Mother Gaia is considered Mother Nature. On Ghost River, the lyrics are a battle between Mother Gaia and Satan. So interesting.

I love the winter aspect that Nightwish uses for this and DPP. Whenever I think of Nightwish, I always picture Christmas and Winter. Which is my favorite season and holiday so I guess me and Tuomas have one thing in common lol. I always call that style they do Gothic Winter or Winter Gothic.

Tuomas claimed that Rest Calm was inspired by Gothic Metal and Doom Metal from bands like Paradise Lost and Children Of Bodom. Tuomas and Alexi from Children Of Bodom were best friends before Alexi died so for Tuomas to have made a song similar to Doom Metal/Gothic Metal like the band his friend was in.

On the verse on SLS where Anette sings Do I Love Your Or The Thought Of You, I found Marco's background segment of that part to be kind of creepy which for an album like Imaginaerum, I loved.

Hey May, so many songs are included in almost live setlist - Ghost River, I Want my Tears Back, Last Ride of the Day, etc. Always interesting to hear what your interpretation of the songs :)
From "Song of Myself" I particularly like these spoken words:
An obese girl enters an elevator with me.
All dressed up fancy, a green butterfly on her neck.
    Terribly sweet perfume deafens me.
    She's going to dinner alone.
That makes her even more beautiful.

I always saw the magical interlude on Scaretale to seem more like a dark version or a bright version of the Disney film Fantasia than The Haunted Mansion but sure.

Tuomas Holopainen went track by track for Imaginaerum and explained what each of the tracks meant and the stories behind them and how they connect really well with the film. Pretty interesting. Here it is. ruclips.net/video/qoAfwVaniac/видео.html

I always saw the Dead Boy references as a dead boy being a poet or composer who has fully lost interest in writing music or words. If a composer or poet or author or whatnot lose full interest in writing are they even alive anymore? Tuomas fears becoming a dead boy as he loves writing music and he fears losing interest in writing. So he fears becoming the dead boy. So that's what I think when I see the Dead Boy returning in the lyrics. So yeah.

Gem is also spelled G E M (G to E Minor. So, her entire life was based around a chord progression lol. Thomas Whitman knew what he was doing lol

On the line A Slumber Deeper Than Time, I always picture Adam and Eve from The Bible resting for eternity. I don't know, just odd.

I thought it was Elfish or Irish not Cumbrian. Gar Tuht River Gar Tuht Rheged translated to Even The River Gives (or Brings) Me Nothing
