Sorry for the late reply. Why we use red line instead green, blue or purple one? Because it is affordable. Red one has 650~670 ㎚'s wavelength and as the visible light's division goes from red to purple (red-yellow-green-blue-purple), its wavelength gets shortened (purple has 405~410㎚) and the it requests huge optical power for us to see and its cost gets more expensive. So many of makers adopted red light(laser). Thank you for your question. 🙂
