I am trying to unlock my Redmi Note 5 (Whyred) for 4 months now. I wasn't being able to find the exact problems. But now I guess I have found the problem. But I am unable to find a solution. Note: I tried this on 3 different PCs , 2 Laptops , I tried different version of windows , Tried many Cables including official ones , Tried on different version of Roms on phone , Installed all the drivers and tried to unlock another device and it worked . Problem : The phone works perfectly when I connect it to PC for moving data . But when I try to unlock it and to do so I go to Fastboot Mode (OEM Unlocking and USB Debugging turned On) and open the unlocker and at the final page after logging in . Just when I connect the phone a message in the top left corner appears saying 'Press any key to shutdown' and the PC never detected the phone. (I do hear the connection sound on PC though) . To find out more I tried Mi Flash tool . I opened the Flash tool and in fastboot mode as I connect the device and hit refresh the Device connects immediately. But after 3-4 seconds the same message comes 'Press any key to shutdown'. And it gets disconnected . Then I thought if it is a problem on the Softwares of the PC then I closed all the Apps on PC and opened CMD . I wrote down the command fastboot devices and connected my phone while it was on Fastboot mode and hit enter immediately. Guess what? it shows my device and after 3-4 seconds the same message comes 'Press any key to shutdown'' and then if I type fastboot devices that time and hit enter it shows as if there is no device connected. How could this be a Hardware Problem? as I can easily transfer files when my device is turned on? ... I bought this device just to customize... I used 3 Xiaomi phones before and bought it for Customization and couldn't even Unlock it... I don't know what to do... Help! 😣
