I don't know if it was different in the dialogue here but in Undertale during a pacifist playthrough sans winks at you with his right eye while in a geno playthrough he winks with the left.
To clear up everyones confusion here I would like to ask for an example of this, as I looked through all available resources I could find on the matter and found no evidence of this. Sans DOES use different eyes in his talking sprite and overworld sprite, but that's just an in-game Inconsistentsy, not anything important.
I think anybody would it’s such a strong spell, and I honestly didn’t expect anything that powerful early on, man I love we can manipulate magic now, because it makes it much more scary that we can unleash magic like that, not just slash everyone down.
Everything aside Asgore is most misunderstood character, in Deltarune he is still hated by Toriel, but all he does is be nice to everyone, see how much he loves kris. He doesn't deserve all these i hope everything turns out well for him when Asriel comes home :( Edit: Yes I noticed that asgore was involved in an incident and caused him get removed from police force and it may be one of the reasons why toriel and Asgore divorced
Yeah its been heavily implied that there was a public incident that was bad enough to remove him from the force, and in such a small town where Undyne is the only other officer, you know it had to have been pretty bad to warrant him being permanently banned. There's a pretty good chance that incident could be the main reason why they are separated. I still agree with you that I think he is misunderstood, but we don't know the severity of what he did, thats obviously being saved for later chapter, possibly even chapter 3 because we know Toriel will be involved in some way
Sans might be powerful, but you're forgetting that hes genuinely lazy. If he is going to intervene, it's not going to be until its something only he can do.
Sans might be lazy because he knows that we, the players, can reset the timeline as often as we want. So what point does it make to do your job when it is always for nothing. Sans always knows when you are resetting the game.
"Buddy, you look like you're expecting something of me. Like I'm gonna save the world or something. Nah. I once tried to fight evil, a long, long time ago. But I couldn't change anything in the end. I just wasted my time trying."
In Undertale, one of Sans jobs is literally watching every of your moves. Even meeting Frisk as soon as when they step out of the ruin. In here, Sans doesn't have to go anywhere, Kris only meet him until the end of the chapter. So its safe to say keeping eyes on "potential threat" isn't his job right now. He might just focus on taking care of Papyrus cuz it seem Papyrus isn't old enough to go anywhere yet.
It's because he couldn't read your expression. Kris never make those choices- and unlike the more obedient Frisk _or_ the more impressionable Chara, they actively wanted to resist.
Also we have to remember his behivor in undertale In the beginning He was a jokey Weird and lazy skeleton but the closer we are to asgore sans begins to be more serious like the"you would be dead where you stand" in the mtt resort and him judging us just before meeting asgore for the first time We might see something like that in deltarune Like the first few chapters Hes just a guy who works in a Store but by the time we reach chapter 7 his behivor might change a little to be more serious just like undertale Sorry for the long comment

Sans: "Oh yeah, and when your brother comes back, we can have a two on two basketball match with my bro in our basketball court behind our house next door. You're totally going to get dunked on."
Ok look, there's literally no reason whatsoever for Sans to be involved, he had his time in UT as a final boss on a secret route and that's it, now he is an npc like anyone else.
The whole “Grab a basket, buy what’s inside” thing is a joke on how video game shops always have you buy from the cashier and not actually grab the stuff to check out
Correct. As far as I know, the player is manipulating Kris, just like the player on genocide in UT. It isnt Chara, or a character in game, YOU control Kris.
maybe in chapter 3 berdly becomes corrupted in some way which plays a part with the dark crystal we got so heres my theory:ya know how we basically incase berdly in a crystal prison, and in the end kris creates this dark fog,it could also tie in the fact this mike person is able to corrupt other beings, maybe we end up meeting a puppeteered berdly like mike makes berdly his own puppet, and we have to save him
Heh, imagine if the effects of the dark world on Berdly only last a few hours, so he just wakes up a few hours later and thinks it was all a horrible nightmare.
I think that the "maybe a day, maybe 2 years" is referring to chapter 3 because that's technically the next "day," and it'll probably take toby at least 2 years to make Chapter 3, especially more if 4 and 5 are released with it
I mean... I think It will be ready for (fastest outcome) December next year Like... Toby (if i remember correctly) was also writing chapters after 2, also, toby was suffering from extreme wrist pain, wich slowed almost everything down, but yeah, chapter 3 is gonna be way faster than chapter 2 (Hopefully)

Walking into Sans’ Store after a Snowgrave Route: (Kris walks into Sans’ store) Sans: sup kid. need any- Kris: Saaaaaaaans, I did it again! Sans: (sigh) really?
Nah, I think the terrifying voice only comes out for Noelle It's also implied to be the soul's voice itself, both because the voice can still be heard when Kris is "down" during Berdly's deathwish (but to be fair there are opportunities to have fallen members interact, like in that same battle but without Snowgrave where you can act like your IQ points are falling out and Noelle has to pick them up even though the interaction doesn't call upon Noelle) and also, when you call for her against Spamton Neo, well, YOU call for her, which is specified seperately from Kris, who can only call for Ralsei and Susie. Still, it would've been pretty cool, even if a little chilling. Hopefully we can eggspect an ice thing for Sans later down the line.
@@GalanDun I mean, you *can* control the SOUL, but souls with downed party members are confusing anyway because the soul is a collective soul for some attacks, and some attacks it'll be Kris's soul for one attack then you get hit again and it's Ralsei, basically souls in the battle system are weird

@@MysticSlime I think there is only one ending. Your choices don’t matter in this game, and even when they sorta do (IE, the SnowGrave route) the only thing that changes is Berdly is sleeping in the classroom(probably dead, but I doubt it changes much) I say sans won’t interfere because of my theory about Gaster. His grand plan is to escape the dark world, the void. By destroying dark fountains, the power he has to destroy that barrier to free him grows. This game most likely has been played thousands of times, so in some timelines, sans would try to stop you, while in others, such as this one, he simply doesn’t care anymore. The loop never ends.
It’s honestly pretty sad that the monsters can’t ever stop you since you will just come back to life like nothing ever happened, and no matter how much they kill you you’ll only give up if you rage quit, or whatever, but for them you’re there waking nightmare, but unless your my female Asriel, that can rival humans with determination souls rather well, there’s no way of perma killing the human.
Oh I am sure Sans did, via secret code words especially with eggs. In wingdigs language, egg means left finger pointing, forward finger pointing, forward finger pointing. Sounfs familiar? Perhaps with a particular chess piece can go with that direction? The Knight.
"Why does nobody else know?" Or something like that was said by Noelle. And, well, maybe Sans in this alternate universe doesn't exactly know about Kris, so he doesn't have yet to watch over the player. Or the current events. Though back to Noelle's comment, this would mean either a: Sans can tell but doesn't say, b: Sans is like all the others and never noticed the voice, or c: the dark world (and also when Kris is commanding) is when the voice comes through... and Sans doesn't know about the Dark World either...
2:00 I really wish sans just said "uhm.... i don't think there are any flowers in the world that can do that, buddy." Edit: oh wow uh 50 likes thanks. :]
Or chronologically, Deltarune happens first and Sans, aware of time travel and the multiverse (To an extent) becomes aware of what happens, if a genocidist is left unchecked. That's why in Undertale if you make Frisk do the same, he intervenes. Because he knows what can happen if you aren't stopped. And this therefore is his chance to prevent that.
I genuinely think that sans isn't going to play as big of a role as he did in Undertale. In Undertale he wasn't simply "knowing all the resets and timelines" he had pre-determined notions of what is and what isn't time travel behavior. Secret words and reading expressions was more his thing. Since the generally accepted theory of Deltarune is that you (the player) are making choices rather than the vessel in which you made choices in Undertale (frisk/protagonist), it could be that sans doesn't have a negative read on Kris (and since he cannot see you, will not see any funny business). The most i can see him having major interaction with the story is if he himself (most likely alongside papyrus) is sent into the dark world somehow (when you go to hang out with papyrus or something similar) and having either positive or negative reactions to an alt-route that could occur.
I think it's even more funnier to think that Sans does have something going on (Like he remembers Undertale and Youare genocides and whtv else), but actively just ignores it to fuck with us. He's like "Me? Plot convenience? Uhhhh, don't you mean Store Convenience?" *Wink*
Asgore says he talks to his plants cause they are good listeners and sans comments saying “nothin’ like a captive audience” presumably talking about flowey.
2:38 Ok so hear me out. Kris was commanding Noelle normally before snowgrave. When Noelle puts the thorn ring on, she gains the trance ability. Now, Kris’s Voice sounds terrifying, and probably dominant. But to everyone else, it’s normal because they haven’t put the thorn ring on.
I have a feeling that in this universe, sans might not have the same, if any, of the powers he has in UT. If that were the case, he would have def caught on to the creation of dark world, and, therefore, changes in the timeline.
@@fluffy7358 The thing about Sans is, his dialogue options tend to be calculated to give him red flags. You can do things like say "great to see you again" when Kris has never met him before, or ask him about his brother even if you never talked to him in Chapter 1. He's also literally the only one with the exact same sprite as Undertale. Until proven otherwise, Sans shouldn't be overlooked from a meta perspective, because it's just like him to pretend he knows less than he really does. It's also bizarre how the exterior of the store is Grillby's with the name changed, yet the interior is different.
in the hospital noelle isn’t talking about kris’s actual voice, she’s talking about the voice of the soul (the player) talking directly to her through kris. if kris falls during the berdly fight she remarks that she can still hear their voice, probably because it’s not actually kris’s voice but the player’s
People insist that Sans is a special character just because he has an idea about resets, even though all Undertale characters have reset-dejavus just like Sans, the difference between him and the other characters is that he pays more attention to it because he knows about the timelines problem thing he said in the genocide route
Ah I see people are still trying to cling on to the idea of fighting sans. Ain’t gonna happen, he’s a civilian/just a normal guy in this game. No one special, just a janitor that doesn’t have any other people working for the business he’s in.
It’s even funnier when you think about how lightners probably don’t even know magic, all of them are basically just regular people but replaced by monsters.

I saw a stream, and the dialogue was different after Snowgrave See brother : "by the way. about my brother . . ." "looks like you won't be able to meet him today." "yeah it's a bummer when things don't work out." "sorry about that." "i'm sure you'll meet him someday" "maybe around when your brother comes home?'" Not sure why you got the normal dialogue
Wow I just feel awful for Kris. His parents divorced. His brother leaving him for university. And having his soul possessed by us and being as a puppet and do horrible stuff.
He's gotta at least play a role at some point, it'll just feel odd if he doesn't. Especially if the more chapters we get, the more connections we get to undertale
The way the lighthearted banter between Sans and Toriel immediately died and became awkward tension when Asgore walked in. So painful, and Sans just turning around to avoid getting involved 😭 Asgore’s existence is so sad I can’t help but love him
I realy dont feel sorry for Breadly. I realy just feel sorry for Noelle in this route (and for the ones we have to kill to get to this point). I have as much empathy for him as i have for jerry. Everything aside Asgore is most misunderstood character, in Deltarune he is still hated by Toriel, but all he does is be nice to everyone, see how much he loves kris. He doesn't deserve all these i hope everything turns out well for him when Asriel comes home :(
Edit: Yes I noticed that asgore was involved in an incident and caused him get removed from police force and it may be one of the reasons why toriel and Asgore divorced

I hope it's not for a bad reason :(( Wonder what he did to get expelled from police

I can appreciate that toriel is still willing to talk to asgore, even if not for very long
The fandom would sink even deeper in the brainrot if Toby doesn’t make Sans important. He just has to, to preserve the sanity of the fandom.
Sans: Watches the Player do the Genocide route
Sans in every chapter: Sup kid
Chapter 7: Sans is angy
proceeds to have a fight 6x harder than UT sans in deltarune
0:56 what if deltarune chapter 3’s release date is just in the same date as when chapter 2 released but in 2023
@@Pablo6440. next year?
He's gotta at least play a role at some point, it'll just feel odd if he doesn't.
Especially if the more chapters we get, the more connections we get to undertale
The way the lighthearted banter between Sans and Toriel immediately died and became awkward tension when Asgore walked in. So painful, and Sans just turning around to avoid getting involved 😭 Asgore’s existence is so sad I can’t help but love him
what we need
is a chapter where goatdad comes into the dark world
and you get him in your party
1:21 "And dont forget me, your eggs-husband!"
Sans has to physically turn around to cool off and disassociate from the cringe
You can tell that the undertale community was hibernating from the amount of content being released. And the speed of them as well
classic mysticslime keep up the good work
I honestly thought Sans would catch on to Kris’ evil intentions, considering that Sans caught onto Frisk’s evil intentions in Undertale.
I realy dont feel sorry for Breadly. I realy just feel sorry for Noelle in this route (and for the ones we have to kill to get to this point). I have as much empathy for him as i have for jerry. Breadly attacks Noelle without even caring if it kills her or not, and she screams that he is hurting her and he continues. Not even the Queen wanted to hurt Noelle. Breadly doesnt have ANY redeeming points (except for its funny face), he is purely selfish.
breadly
@@keatonstarks2696I think its because he is a duck. My mind get locked on the word "Bread" so i started to call him Breadly
“and i’m your eggs-husband” will never fail to make me crack up
