I just purchased my first Lexus. I bought this model. I watched the whol thing to make sure I didn't miss something when I bought it. The only thing the salesperson missed was the link for the garage door opener. So excited! Thanks for a great review! I just need how to use the electrical part of it, radio, Siri, Lexus enform remote etc.

Latin Lover the cars are stable in price, so if you buy a lexus u can sell them after 5 years and you will get 70% of your money invested back.
2015 version IS is the last version that is using V6 direct injection engine. If you want to avoid turbo lags or maintenance issue caused by turbo components, you must get this year version.
BTW, 2015 IS 250 drive mode selector button surface is kinda weak. I had once a long index finger nail that scratched the surface of the button.
The 2015 Lexus IS 250 4 doors sports sedan is very attractive.

I noticed you mentioned, "if you're buying the car for your son or daughter." Nice parents who'd buy their kid a car, with taxes, that would run 40 grand. I'd be very happy for my dad to buy me one. Somehow, I don't think it's gonna happen. It's a beautiful car and I think they will attract Acura buyers who loved the sporty TSX, which is now gone, and replaced with the TLX, which looks more like a grandpa car. I could see myself jumping form Acura. I have to go now to play the lottery in hopes of buying an Lexus IS 250. They really did a super job on the styling. I did see another review in which they felt that the navigation system was akward and cumbersome. What is your opinion of the nav? Good RUclips walk-through of the car, nice job, well-done.
Hgood1 Thanks! I personally see no problem with the Nav. System. That maybe because I am accustomed to it as I've own a Lexus Since 2010
I too am going to switch from Acura. Lexus/Toyota are miles ahead in reliability in my 20+ years of experience with both brands.
Actually you can lease one with no money down for $379 a month. That's not too bad!

I have that exact model but it's 2014.
Was wondering why I have a similar headlights,which is 1 bulb with high n low beam. Probably mine is October of 2014 and they put the same thing. Cuz I was checking other 14 models and they have separated bulbs.
Which would you buy a used 2014 Lexus IS250 Fsport or a New 2016 Civic Touring???

obviously this car is underpowered compared to its german competitors but would you say the 250 is good enough to just drive normally and pass cars if i need to quickly? The price on the leftover 2015 models are too great not to pick one up at this point. Almost 9000 off MSRP

I have the ISF. Is the handling comparable. I just can't imagine a slightly heavier IS 250, with less than 1/2 the HP of my ISF. IT must seem very slow... Does it?

+Freddy Arazi I just got one 3 weeks ago, and I ended up getting the premium package. There are quite a few things that are different in the one I have. I'm guessing that this is (or was) the base model. However, I did noticed that this video was published in 2014.

Nice car, except the 2015 C class leaves this car in the dust. Lexus was beating merc before 2012, but comparing the new ones, the C Class looks and drives better than the lexus by a huge margin.
The c class is also way more expensive. The price points arent the same as the previous class. I love the new c class.. but the IS has a nicer aggressive look.
ZeerXX yeah I like the back end of the IS, but the front looks a bit deformed as if they were trying too hard or something.. and I like the front of the C class, but I like the IS back.. hmm they should combine the front of C class with the back of IS
ZeerXX Actually, I don't think the Mercedes is that much more. The IS 250 starts at 36,550. I think the C300 base is around 38k.
JB P 200 dollar oil changes? Yeah, if you go to the dealer, both will rape you whether it's lexus or mercedes. Go to an independant and it will be around $100. I own a 2012 C250 1.8T and i had it for 2 years now, and had 0 repair costs, except oil changes. Granted, i bought the car with 40,000km and now i'm at 70,000km, and i even upgraded the engine with a bigger intercooler and wastegate. I also going to do a ECU tune soon and a downpipe.
With that being said, i do admit that lexus cars are more reliable than Benz, but i also admit that they don't hold up as well as Benz after 10-15 years. The body rusts on them pretty fast compared to german cars. They do however have less problems in the first 8 years i would say.

The 2015 infiniti Q50 AWD (base model) is equipped with a 3.7L V6 engine that puts out 328 HP...AND the lease options are competitive (in the mid 300's). Yeah I'd rather go with that.
I live in Japan and here Lexus is not considered to be premium here.
Japanese people also prefer smaller cars like Toyota Corollas.
Most rich Japanese people prefer German brands such as BMW and Mercedes.
I've lived here for 8 years so I know Japan's auto trends.
