It Amaze's me how certain people want to tell you how to spend or invest your money if you win big, but before you won Big they had nothing to do with you.
If they DON’T help you (they have the experience) you’ll be broke within 2 years. You think you deposit a 100 million check in your regular checking account?
If I’m not mistaken this was the guy that tried to keep his social media page going and people were asking money for their dying babies and their dying relatives. You have to run and hide when you win that kind of money.
Don't tell anyone even if it's a smaller amount of money. I won $5000 on a scratch some years ago. I told a few friends and within 24 hours a friend had an "emergency" wanted to borrow "whatever I felt I could help with". I sent her $200 (knowing I would not see it again) and later found out that it was for a down payment on a 2 year old's birthday party! Needless to say, she did not attempt to repay it and didn't understand why I cut her off. KEEP IT TO YOURSELF.
There’s also the other side of the coin. I won $45,000 back in 2006, told all my close friends, bought myself a $30,000 car that I wanted and no one asked me for money. I was happy to be Santa Claus for my family that Christmas. That was fun. I didn’t tell the whole world but as soon as I bought my luxury car, people looked at me differently. Lol
Technically I won the lotto. I had purchased a resto-lounge business off a wealthy man. The deal was good and the profits were enormous at this place. I remember when I bought this place I kept it on the downlow. Never told a soul. Until one day my wife blabbed her big mouth and told my cousins. To which they started calling me and needing to be my best friend. I then had backlash from family questioning why I never "told them" myself. 14 months later I lost the business lost around $8M in profits and went bankrupt. How? Well, evil eyes and bad mouthing and cursing went on when I never gave handouts to family members. Moral of the story....When you obtain success, pretend your not succeeding. Oh and the wife? I left the bitch. Cheers.
@@Ramifications537 Didn't work for me. I kept asking God to let me win the Mega Millions and I never won. Finally, I asked Him why He hated me so much? He said "Maybe you should meet me halfway and buy a damned ticket."

If I won that much. I would give my brothers and sisters 5 million each. Maybe a couple of good friends. That were there for me. I would only keep 100 million. The rest help the homeless, poor, and finance projects. I would hire a chef, maid, and 2 Delta force soldiers. I would put 5 million in an account for each retirement. 5 years of service. What ever you do live on interest, don't touch the principle ( the lump sum). With that type of money you will probably get millions a year in a high yield account.
After taxes and attorneys are dealt with.. I would buy gold and silver bars..land,. Art.. Then build dream house and pay the light bill up for 50 years with one check,, then I would proceed to lounge indefinitely smoking a tobacco pipe sipping wine and reading books ..
Kinda leaning that way myself. Because as you most likely know, historically speaking gold just increasing in value in the long term. And of course shtf, you got actual something of great value. Take a picture of the ticket put the ticket in it security lock box at a bank start talking to lawyers financial advisors create a blind Trust tell no one allocate family members or beneficiaries of the trust a yearly income of a reasonable number carry on with your life as Anonymous as possible
Y V It’s only the worst advice if you tell people WHAT you’re putting in the vault box at the bank. That is not required or advisable. Just put it there for safekeeping. No one needs to be told it’s there. As for trusts, have the attorney draft a receiver trust that gets the money. That is the name that would be released publicly. Then have a bridge trust drawn up that flows the money from the receiver trust to your personal banking. This would allow you to remain anonymous, even in the states where winner disclosure is authorized.
When I win I'm not spending any money on money pits. No big properties where property tax, maintenance and utilities eat up my cash. No plane or yatch purchases. Not even if I get $100 mil after taxes.
property tax on a $1m property is only $6000 per year. lets be absurd and say the total upkeep for the house and a personal maid is $50k a year. $100m invested into the market which gains on average 7% per year would be +$7m the first year it grew. once you understand gains like that, 50k a year is nothing. lets assume you win and bank 100m at age 18, if you invest that in a mutual fund that averages 7%, at age 65 you would have 2.4 billion ($2,404,570,701) you could withdraw 1m per year and still watch the money grow throughout your lifetime. money grows, and that is why the rich get richer. a successful business person that amasses a 100m networth at a young age can die a billionaire simply by investing and watching it grow over the decades.

@@sergiogonzalez7391 You don't use professionals to not lose the money. You use them to help maintain it. Basically, invest the majority of it in low risk investments so that you can solely live off of the interest without ever needing to touch the jackpot sum (principal). Anyone could park said win in a bank & then budget themselves thousands per day. You wouldn't do that for multiple reasons & if you don't have experience with large sums of wealth, then you stand a far greater risk of losing it by yourself than you will by having professionals do it for you.
Also having a lawyer is also so you can remain anonymous and set up the proper legal trusts to funnel money in a way that requires you to pay the least amount in taxes.

The mathematical probability is often 1 : 247,000,061 or something around that chance of winning the lottery. It depends on the lottery i suppose. And this would lead many to believe that if you buy 247mil tickets youll win, but even if you did do that, youd be spending way more money than you get from the win. That and each ticket is the same chance, its not garunteed the more tickets you buy. Totally forgot what equation is used to figure it out, skmething like : x tickets * nPr /amount of years you buy those tickets for * how many tickets are bought per day

Be careful because some lottery lawyers were arrested for stealing money from winners.
One was sentenced not too long for wire fraud took 101million from the client he's serving 13 years for it.
Congratulations Shane!!! Awesome video thank you 🙏🏾
It Amaze's me how certain people want to tell you how to spend or invest your money if you win big, but before you won Big they had nothing to do with you.
If they DON’T help you (they have the experience) you’ll be broke within 2 years.
You think you deposit a 100 million check in your regular checking account?
Wow, bitter
Much? LoL
@@bonniest.pierre2045 i’m not even a winner and this happened between me and a friend
Lol
@@bonniest.pierre2045 Most states release the name of jackpot winners.

Absolutely right. We don't do the whole novelty check thing here in Australia but anonymity is everything
I love it. I have the secret and watch the dvd many times so many I have lost count !!
Cheers.
Lmaoo crazy story Man!

I want to win the lottery too. I hope that someday we all win.
Wow! Congrats! Nice to see you are doing good things with the money... not very many generous people left in this world!!! And thanks for following me on Instagram :)
This attorney just outed the guy who won the lottery. Putting him in danger. I wouldn't want him to represent me.
I wouldnt get an attorney at all. Just give me my money and I will deposit all of it in my bank account.
He didn't "out" anybody. It was highly publicized when the kid won. Not to mention he posts his entire life on Instagram.

That would make people loyal.
Keep enough to get me thru next 35yrs n give to the rest of those who are in need . Its easy to receive its BETTER TO GIVE LOVE ALWAYS THE UNIVERSE.

That's why I would enact a plan to claim it looking not quite myself, but in a disguise to keep people seeing who I really am and it provides safety and security to my family....
Second is getting a gun or two and just leaving town after I claim it. Since my governor wants to be nosey and allows people who win in NYS to be advertised...
In 1 second they would have your photo and all your internet dealings. The news have experts at doing just that. You will need a tax attorney. A lawyer to write up documents.
It’s really hard not to spend when you win. I won $1,000 once. Bought a house, bought a bunch of cars for the family and kids, bought a boat, now I’m over $1M in debt!
Lol 🤣 you gotta be kidding me ?

Manifested it is absolutely correct...
When Jack Whittaker in WV won a huge lottery, his family had all kinds of tragedy and death...daughter found dead in a dumpster. He was at a strip bar and got knocked over the head , attempted robbery. Divorce followed, and his wife actually said if she knew what it would all mean, she would never have wanted the money. What ever you do live on interest, don't touch the principle ( the lump sum). With that type of money you will probably get millions a year in a high yield account.
I like the idea of leaving town for a long while. Wherever I land I would buy using a company name and find normalcy in my new location.
After taxes and attorneys are dealt with.. I would buy gold and silver bars..land,. Art.. Then build dream house and pay the light bill up for 50 years with one check,, then I would proceed to lounge indefinitely smoking a tobacco pipe sipping wine and reading books ..
j smith plus a vending machine full of hooker variety packs 🖖🏻
Kinda leaning that way myself. Because as you most likely know, historically speaking gold just increasing in value in the long term. And of course shtf, you got actual something of great value. I really don't see any downside except maybe taxes?? But that's why I'd need some very good advice from professional people.
And land seems also a verrrry good long term investment.
sounds boring
why not have solar and or hydro power? wouldn't you want land with a spring fed creek, for infinite fresh free water and hydro electric power?
I wish him good luck
Take a picture of the ticket
put the ticket in it security lock box at a bank
start talking to lawyers financial advisors create a blind Trust
tell no one
allocate family members or beneficiaries of the trust a yearly income of a reasonable number carry on with your life as Anonymous as possible
Worst advice ever. Security lock box so the banks can own you. Sure buddy. Itll be safer if u just put it under a pillow.
Not bank..not safe
First thing sign the back of your ticket before anything else.
Go on diet , get high pressure oxygen theopy , (reverses aging by 15 + years ) party like you are age-15 years

First thing.....I immediately start searching for my dream house. Than my dream car. And after
Covid a trip to all my dream locations.
I'm so excited for this day!
First rule don't tell no one
Second rule: repeat step one
When I win I'm not spending any money on money pits. No big properties where property tax, maintenance and utilities eat up my cash. No plane or yatch purchases. Not even if I get $100 mil after taxes.
This Higgs gonna take the public bus as a millionaire savage
WHATEVER
And keep that money to the grave?
Ppl like u never become rich...u just dont have the mentality
property tax on a $1m property is only $6000 per year. lets be absurd and say the total upkeep for the house and a personal maid is $50k a year. $100m invested into the market which gains on average 7% per year would be +$7m the first year it grew. once you understand gains like that, 50k a year is nothing.
lets assume you win and bank 100m at age 18, if you invest that in a mutual fund that averages 7%, at age 65 you would have 2.4 billion ($2,404,570,701)
you could withdraw 1m per year and still watch the money grow throughout your lifetime. money grows, and that is why the rich get richer. a successful business person that amasses a 100m networth at a young age can die a billionaire simply by investing and watching it grow over the decades.

Stayed at a budget motel? Good on that young man, remember money talks, but wealth whispers.

Kindda bs. No multimillionaire will stay in some budget motels especially you're a lotto winner. The risks way to high.
I wish him nothing but the best... I pray he makes sound financial choices and avoid's people who will try to take advantage of him.. Also watch the ladies who are seeking a pay-check via a child support, one night stand issue. I would rather get the lump sum cash and manage my own money. The attorneys aint always guaranteed to secure ur money. If u win a jackpot huge like Shane, no one should be broke, those of yall that thinks hell blow his money on drugs or whatever. I believe he way smarter than that.
Same, if you need a lawyer to make sure you don't lose that much money over your lifetime you didn't deserve to win.
The tax lawyer will save you 100 times what you pay him
@@sergiogonzalez7391 You don't use professionals to not lose the money.
When. I heard he won mega million I couldnt believe someone that young won. My pare ts and I have been playing for decades and still havent won.
Did shane buy that jet? He was smart staying in a budget motel. Theres nothing wrong with that you spend most of your time in your house then you car.
You see players and lotto winners blow it partying in hotels, buying bentleys and phantoms. I'd be satisfied in an acura rex, honda accord, Lexus 570 and toyota Camry. I'm not picky or expensive. I've learned to be practical. I'm ready to win both Powerball and mega million jackpots
Totally forgot what equation is used to figure it out, skmething like : x tickets * nPr /amount of years you buy those tickets for * how many tickets are bought per day
Plus !...he has enough money to get rid of the bedbugs he's going to get staying in low budget motels.
Excellent advise. Lawyer up, don't tell anyone and get out of town.
I agree, go stay at a high end hotel or resort, hire a well trained EP/security detail, rent or lease vehicles(change them often). Be leery of any new "friends" or scams.
Money doesn’t change you. It just shows people who you are.
Agree - money also just makes you more of the type of person you already are. A little selfish -> SUPER selfish, Generous -> incredibly generous, miserable -> addiction, broke and suicide miserable.....
