Thank you to all RT people who made this happen. This was so relatable for us weekend warriors who won't ever get beyond a 4.5 level, and the commentary and production was what made this channel's watchability even greater than ATP tennis a lot of the time. I'm so sorry the economics didn't work out, but please know you made my life better for what you've done. So enjoyed this!
What a fun and entertaining match to watch! I will sorely miss the RT channel as you guys have put together some really fun and great matches over the years. Thank you Ian, Mark, Scott, and everyone else that was involved with RT! As others have stated, it was great to watch tennis matches that were far more relatable than what we'd usually watch on TV.
Gonna miss this channel, very informative and entertaining. Too bad the dollars don’t work out. Congrats to all who made this such a fun communal experience for the amateur tennis freaks out here. Bravo! Maybe a rebirth in a less expensive form will happen someday
Thank you Ian, James, Jules, Mark, Scott, Ira, Ben, Chris, all the court gladiators overtime, with the great commentators who've been the food and blood supply to this incredible channel. I'm very grateful and Thank You for all the memories, the amazing games with epic rallies, thank you people for all the supportive and positive comments, and hey even you trolls...much love to you. Hoping to see this great channel comeback at least in spirit in some shape or form as I'm sure I'm not the only one saying this; it has created so much joy for the tennis community, and this little guy here (pointing at myself) constantly annoying people with comments on every video.🤷♂ RT going out with a bang. Cheers to the future. M
You could tell Chris has a lot of respect for Ben and really enjoyed playing against him. MEP remained classy as always, I'm going to miss this content.
Thanks for all the hard work you all have put into it for us viewers over the last 2/3 years. I am sure I can speak for all the others, we have enjoyed watching the matches on the channel immensely. I would be lying if I said I won't miss seeing you guys. Wish you the best for the future and hope to see you here again in the future.
Awesome match and great players with good attitudes. It's great how MEP became Ben. He's not the nemesis of amateur tennis, he has a legitimate strategy, executes it incredibly well and seems to be a genuine good guy.0 That being said, in the first set he did show that he is actively working on his game. With those tools he'll be crushing egos for years to come 😂
I appreciate pro level tennis, but in my opinion "Tennis at very high or pro level" does not have a monopoly in terms of the greatness of matches. Over the years I have watched some pro level tennis with less interesting matches and also some high level or other level matches such as this at 4.5+ NTRP that are really fun to watch. I appreciate the determination of both Chris and Ben to compete under such exhausting conditions and this was just a great match for me to watch. To me it does not matter how hard one hits a forehand or a serve, but how one competes. Honestly this makes me want to go out there and play some senior or other events if my continuing gout flare-ups ever allows me. Well done Ian and team for all you did and do for tennis. -AB
I'm reminded that Chris was/is a bodybuilder. As his movement declined due to tightness in the legs, he needed his upper-body to really hit the ball heavy. Ian has been such a great guy. Not sure how much Chris really takes from this - Ben is not young, and he played so much. Can't believe MEP hung in, honestly. Chris is such a nice guy though. Super-funny. MEP is so scary, you really are going to try to play safe. He needs a promoter, because it's fascinating to watch him compete. And a coach would limit him to playing at his best, only.
MEP's 2 HBH is defensive, he doesn't really drive it. I think that's why Chris mentioned attacking there. Because getting passed on a high, loopy ball is unlikely against Ben. But MEP does adapt, and make things difficult regardless.
Really appreciate everyone involved! Love watching Real Tennis and will miss it tremendously ❤❤❤

This match exemplifies how someone with no advantage over you in any aspect of the game can win you a set with a 6-1 score.

I'm so sad this is it for the channel, but it was a great way to go out.
Thanks to everyone who was part of the RT team.

I'm going to miss these matches. It was well worth the $3 a month.
Great stuff lads.
Thanks guys!
