ibsoarin That is an abbreviated version of " The Liberty Bell" by John P. Sousa. It was used as kind of a theme song for the comedy group " Monty Python". Thanks for watching and glad that I had an answer!
+burnleyize I had to look up "The Liberty Bell" march composed by John Philip Sousa in 1893. If you do not mind, I would rather first associate this march with the United States Marine Band and your calliope performance.
+burnleyize Hi There, I love your music on the Calliope. Do you know where I can find a brass Calliope pipe? I always thought they were cool. Keep it up my friend! -Nick
Wow. This is really good. Your Robert Morton organ is a sight to see too. Why don't you do calliope covers to 80's-90's songs? Like what Bioshock infinite did with their Anachronistic music. /watch?v=mQheaCpjH0I
@@marvinthemaniac7698 : I got mine back in the early 2000’s. It was built specifically for the traveling road show of the 1994 revival of “ Showboat.” When the show closed it went into storage , and I wound up getting it for a great price. They are pricey, but will last a lifetime… and more.
"Jesus fucking christ Carl! Every god damn Saturday with that fucking Organ of yours! Just one god damn weekend I'd like to sit on my porch without having the Circus of Charles fucking Manson come crashing through my goddamn living room!" "MIKE, IT'S A FUCKING CALLIOPE! A CALLIOPE!" *toots happily*

My dad, R.R. Dick Howard owned a Caliope when I was in high school. He sold it to the Kansas City Shrine. I wonder where it ended up!

It’s too bad you rarely hear old time music like this played much any more it’s quite rare now.
I recognize several songs on this video: Listen to the Mocking Bird, Pennsylvania Polka, Semper fidelis, etc. I'll have to listen again to name a few more.
"when I take my sugar to tea" is one of them I think
I just can’t get enough of this!
More Calliope. Whatever you heard, you're neighbors told me they want more calliope, too.
I'd love to see jazz be played by one of these - it just seems right!

The first song reminds me of "Trevo de quatro folhas" by joão gilberto
I LOVE this!!! Thanks so so much!!!
The best yet!
Seriously though; you've made a meal out this instrument.
That is cool!
Beautiful, happy music who is this man?

I was singing Four Leaf Clover once. Bugs Bunny popped up out the ground and socked me. Right in that kisser! Ooo; that wabbitt!
Can we get another list of songs in the description of this video as well?

4:14 I felt like I was watching the 3 Stooges!
The song you are talking about is Listen to the Mocking Bird which was the Three Stooges theme song from 1935-1938.
Is it connected to a vacuum?

does anyone know what the name of the song at 1:46 is? and 2:15 ? I presume that is part of the same song? i've had it stuck in my head all day!
The piece is "Cruising Down The River On A Sunday Afternoon".
burnleyize thank you for that! I'm tempted to try it out on my accordion. Love this video btw! can't tell you how many times i've watched it.
Where did you get that calliope from?
From the Miner Company. They are the ONLY ones who still make brass whistle calliopes, in several styles.
Occasionally, they come up for sale, used.
@@burnleyize how much did it cost you?
