Definitely most viewed WNBA season in along time is about to happen and yes I think Caitlin Clark can shoot and pass at the next level. Diana Taurasi is right though that she will need to improve on defense and continue to get stronger if she wants to be that superstar she was on the collegiate level in the WNBA. 🎉 Also glad to see Kate Martin get drafted and happy for all the girls that got selected that have a opportunity to play a kids game for a living what a dream good luck to them all! 🎉

you think she was permitted to play defense to her 100%? could it be Iowa did not want her in foul trouble?
look at rebounds and steal numbers. not less than pedestrian.
she may just need green light to play defense 100%. if she fouls out out now, not as big of a loss.

Jealousy is a Drug that's hard to Kick. DT & the rest can see what's coming, and they ain't included, except as Footnotes. They may have Paved The Way, but they won't be Cashing The Checks that Caitlin, Angel, Cameron, Rickea, and the rest will Generate.....Assuming of course that the W doesn't decide to Go Down With Their Sinking Alphabet Activist Ship, and do their best to "Suitcase" these fine young Ballers. Self Defeating at best, but I don't think we should put that past those who Really Think They Run The W. Sooner or later somebody In Actual Authority is going to have to Take Charge, to head off the Nonsense from inside the ranks.
I just hope none of those Jealous Activist Fools actually Hurt Caitlin, and do her real harm. That will Kill The W, and Rightly So

@@annajordan243Some Clark fans attack everyone who has an opinion they don’t like. It’s so annoying. Some just started watching basketball, but all of a sudden they are experts. Taurasi has earned the right to give whatever advice she deems necessary. You don’t get called “White Mamba” for nothing!

I think what didn't sit well with me was the 18 year old comment. Not every player is 18, and there is a disproportionate number of 18 year olds that start at the college level. It goes without saying there is an adjustment, but I feel the "superhuman" remark was directed at Clark.

I’m a huge CC fan but as usual people are overreacting to a narrative based on a sound bite. I’ve heard both Taurassi and especially Bird give CC lots of props on many other instances. CC herself said in her Fever intro that the coach will yell at her for defense 😂 Good thing is it seems these narratives don’t seem to bother CC at all

This is a well measured breakdown of what's happening around Caitlin Clark.
I think many sides are too in the weeds about this era of potential growth. DT isn't demonstrative in her commentary, but I can see why fans wouldn't like it, because that's what fans do in general. She was a little coy choosing Paige and drinking her water on TV, so I don't think people are all wrong she(and others) are a lil salty.
It's human. I know people may not wanna admit women can be a lil jealous of other women, but women are human. Some people will like it some won't, but that at least means people are interested, which is good for the game

I don’t know why they have something personal against her. What is weird is they know she don’t talk in public. Cc does all her talking on the court. That whole broadcast with dt “I’m taking Paige, next question”. Wtf was that, you on national tv. They could’ve capitalized on this big time. Even if it wasn’t true, gets eyes on the league. Then when cc is in the league you can talk and build a rivalry. Tv rating go up every body boat rises. Isn’t that the goal build the W. Nah instead the whole vibe was nah we don’t fu$@ with Caitlin. They weird af for that.

I think people trying to be mad for Caitlin on things that she herself has come out about and said doesn’t bother her is the issue. They’ve been trying to protect and fight on her behalf since last year’s championship. they have some weird protectiveness over her like she’s 15 or something. she’s fine she’s grown she knows none of these pros mean any actual harm like fans are trying to make it

  • @Vadimony
    @Vadimony 2 месяца назад

Wasn't she a defensive award winner in her freshman year? She dropped the defense for a team need to have her remain foul-free and focused on offense because that team couldn't compete head to head.
Isn't she a 6'0 point guard? That's above the requirement for literally all but a few PG types on any team, and she's probably top 2 or 3 among all starting PGs. She's also strong, and has a build for that position--with good enough athletic abilities.
Speed and other aspects are also there--after all, you have rules that you must obey, so it's obvious you can't just go around and tackle other players on the court. Caitlin will be able to move around screens just like she did in college, and then get her quick release shot off just fine (literally nobody shoots like her in that league anyway) without any real issue. She's also got good passing and dribbling to move around and get others the ball when they double or something.
Clark did fine on the USA team--which was literally WNBA players vs future overseas competition. If opponents need to double up on Boston just to keep her down, then why would anybody realistically think that this wouldn't be a successful pairing against other opponents: CC can hit the shot, and so what is going to suddenly stop her? Some "defender" playing her 1 on 1 by bear hugging her all game? People going to foul out before they even get to the 2nd quarter, lol.
Clark's got good size and build for her position.
She got two taller, capable rebounders on her team that can finish.
She's got two good players that can shoot the ball as well on the wings, and good depth to defend as well if needed.
Also, for the first time in her career, she's got a capable backup that lets her rest during games--instead of playing non-stop for 40 minutes.
If opponents think they can just suppress her, then it's totally going to turn out the wrong way for the league. If they start to foul her, then that team definitely gonna be cutting that player instantly if they even dare try to injure her because she's literally the only thing bringing any interest to their season. The first stupid player that tries to injure her will likely never see the court in their future for that. lol.
