This is a really good version of Dalmore. The song was written by the excellent Paul Mounsey, first covered by fiddle player Lindsay Ritch and Finn McGurk of Pigswill/Dark Horse around 1997. The whiskey company Dalmore used to hire them to perform it live, and I watched them many times. Their version is still available on her website. Its on her first solo album, second track. For me Lindsay's is the definitive version, she also makes great CD's as well. I have them all.
I just played this on a consert. With strings, guitar, flute, base, drums and vocals (haaaaaaa-daaaaaa). The ground shaked. Also we kept the same tempo the whole song. Btw I played double base.
I say what others have said before me, where did you find this? I played it at a school concert, but I no longer have the sheet, and I would love to have it again.
