Recently visited Japan and went to TeamLabs where they had a huge room with drooping LED's which were set to so many beautiful and unique animations which I though would be amazing to incorporate in a room setting! This would be perfect!

This is basically a consumer version of the LED wall I built on my channel! It's great to see more accessible options for people who want large matrixes in their space. I wish this had more features like the ability to display GIFs since the preset animations are a bit underwhelming. The sound reactive modes look amazing though and I'm sure this is going to be a very popular product.

Just watched your video and your wall killed this curtain. Something tells me your project is their end goal especially with COB strips that they currently have available. This seems like a tech demo at best a prototype some CEO saw and thought “it’s good enough for a quick buck”

This is absolutely HUGE!! I love my curtain lights and smartified them with smart plugs but gosh the second these are available in Germany I am gonna get them! Just the possibility to use these as wakeup lights next to my bed, or anything else really its Huge....

hey chris could you do a video on different govee lights that are just as good as the M1 but not as expensive for the same build that you’ve done with the m1? Or can you just give me a recommendation that won’t have hot spots in it?
Finally! Curtain lights/fairy lights s something Ive been looking for forever. I'm surprised it took so long to get a smart version of this style of lights.
The next step would be connecting the curtain to wled and from there with Xlights. Did you already tried to connect it with wled?

I love that this reacts to audio, but my only issue with that feature is isolating the audio to ONLY the music. When I have a party, the visuals are no longer accurately reflecting the audio of the music because it is picking up the audio from conversations, laughter, and other sounds. Is there a way to isolate the music audio to Govee?
Look at 3:31. It appears there might be a setting related to this.

I fell in love with govee last year around September after I got myself just normal rgbicw lights for the wall after previously over the years I had numerous other lights and they always broke so I reached for English /US brand rather than those Chinese brands from Amazon that always have the weirdest company/seller names which obviously are fake made up brands who just sell stuff from temu / wish and other crap 😅. I immediately realised the brand is really nice with normal good quality packaging and instructions not like the Chinese ones where everything is printed at home using bad quality printer and having instructions in only Chinese or broken English 😢. Any way i got so much into govee that at second buy I decided to get floor lamp the one without speaker which is very sleek elegant lamp and it’s perfect to make the room feel vibey and is also great for reading playing games or even late night work and the light can be dimmed so much that it works great as a night lamp too❤ Then I got room heater which was on nice sale too 😅 And 1 month ago I finally had some spare change 😅 and found a sale on wall glide 2 lights from 160 pounds down to 80 for the biggest box with more connectors so I got them even tho they are still in the box because I want to take time and put them in the best place plus I want to remodel my room so I don’t want to use the stickers and then cry about bad placement . And now we just had Prime day and I had quite a lot ideas on what to buy but didn’t have as much money I would need for everything 😂 So once I found out the curtain is on sale for 78 pounds down from 160 I just had to get it , since I wanted it for few months now and then I wanted to get a pool which was on nice sale but unfortunately it was over my available credit on Clearpay 😅so I looked around and came out another govee item i really wanted is within my price so I also got govee table lamp 😂 . It’s this tiny one that sits on table and can make real cool effects , so I had it delivered yesterday and I have to say it’s absolutely beautiful the quality is just beautiful and the colours & modes are stunning , it’s a little desk lamp but I think everyone should have 1 it does also have white & warm yellow colour so can be used like a normal table lamp too and while I was adding it to the app I found out the newer second version of the lamp came out and it looks really cool too ❤. Today I’m gonna have the curtain delivered 😂 and I’m starting to laugh at my self because in the app as we all users know there is a community forum where everyone can chat and show their designs or give advice and I remember seeing a video a guy posted of his collection of around 60 govee boxes full of new lights of different kind , he literally has everything plus his whole house is already covered in them , and I’m starting to feel like that guy with every purchase I’m making 😂it’s a obsession since 1st day , their products are just too cool and pretty to not buy it and make the house look & feel cool and the quality is really good , it’s literally the only brand of this type I trust and if anything comes broken or gets broken in the use in the app u can request rapid replacement or help . I still have about 10 items I definitely want like the outside garden & house lights , some house devices and few other lights like those small tiny cubes u can put on the wall and they give this cool light effect going down the wall or stairs

May get a string to try pulling taut and mounting the bottom side with the string twisted the correct way.

This is super cool, I have a few other govee products. The back of TV lights, some color changing bulbs, and a table lamp that does some similar designs as this
I wish the could be turned on the side as windows tend to be not that high .. I don't want this on a well ..but on a window for xmas messages and pictures

Are you able to put scenes or finger-sketches on a timer? If so, how many timers for each scene or sketch? And are the number of timers determined by whether you're using Bluetooth or wifi to connect? Thanks.
i sent this idea a while ago on how to better do diy animations in the app. Its nice to finally see it implemented.
The app overall has gotten better with new products, but I'm afraid we'll never see updates for existing products. Govee's sku lineup is already beyond confusing and the majority of their app with double or triple feature sections duplicated is equally as cumbersome.
I would have liked to seen the implementation of video to LED wall which I think would have been game changing. These are pretty neato though and probably fit a lot of consumer's needs by just using the built in presets.
Govee tried releasing a desktop app, and i was hoping for some better DIY customization options available to keyboard and mouse that would actually be worth the time invested to create, but sadly it is just a glorified on off switch that only sometimes works. Maybe someday we'll get it, but guarantied to only be compatible with NEW govee products going forward from release.
I wonder how these react to the TV camera scenes. I think there could possibly be some really cool implementation with those especially if these were diffused behind curtains or sheets.
Agreed. The desktop app is a joke. I have been wanting to build some sort of video wall similar to Bitluni and am hoping that eventually this will allow us to do that.
Update from govee. There is a GIF upload feature coming for the curtain lights. This is good news!

I’m planning a project, a 3 x 3 meter wall full of LEDs that respond to movement via hidden camera (like those govee TV stuff) and also responded to Alexa or Siri commands (like that awake light indicator) all hidden behind a large diffuser!
Can we talk about how he's got these cool ass lights setup and how modern technology they are....right next to a CRT TV/DVD combo

These things are already being sold at Sam’s Club, it’s gonnabe really popular.
I would want it for a quick and easy holiday display outside my home.
Add the ability to put in Gifs, Text, Images and connect to stream alerts and its a winner.
Sad that these companies don't provide a local network api which you can sent text from your domotica, pictures, gifs, etc from. Since adafruit came with the individual addressed leds I have been waiting for a good commercial product. This comes close, but like my Govee tiles on the wall, the app's scenes or the static ones you can create become dull pretty soon. It needs some actual functionality or linkage.
Hi Chris, Love your work. If I wanted to cut the cable between the controller and the curtain lights and extend it longer than 3 meters, say to 6 or 7 meters, would I loose any brightness in the lights. Thanks

These are really cool! Quick question I am wanting to put some LEDs on the bottom of my boat trailer to light up the road and the water. Do you have a suggestion of what LED strips would be be best to use for the price? I am also wanting to hook them up to work with my trailer lights. I am pretty sure since they will be dunked in water often that they will need to be IP67 or IP68. Any sugesstions on lights and wiring?
