It is easy to make pancakes in the Serbian way. They are the most beautiful to me. There are a lot of recipes on YT, maybe try and make a video about it.
They usually are warm at milky. Just wrong timing I guess happens but when you find the right combo they are the best! They have great American pancakes too
Pinokio's my place! Used to live there just across the street in those 4 story buildings, and eat them pancakes every day. They have some 20+ years of being the num1 street pancake place in Belgrade, with people from all over coming there, making big lines, and I remember I saw at least one gun fight there 15-20 years ago, and a couple of brawls.. :) However, home made grandma's pancakes are the best in Serbia, it is known!
For crepes and American pancakes I recommend Hari's creperie. Glumac is OK but it is more like street crepe, although you can eat inside. Hari's is full experience place.
When weather gets nicer, you MUST leave Belgrade and visit Serbia's interior. Sights are breathtaking, acomodations cheaper, food cheaper and tastier. Please consider what's known there as village tourism - where you stay in a village household, with local home made food, etc.
I’ve done extensive research on the best crepes in Belgrade and I really hope you’ll do a follow up video and include Keops and Boom Palačinke (first is a restaurant and 2nd is a street vendor).
boom palacinke, one of the best “street” pancakes in belgrade. they deliver on new belgrade i believe. kinder + plazma / plazma in milk + sour cherries = heaven
Hey guys, welcome to Serbia! I see you love to eat, best pancakes in my opinion, and in opinion of the people I introduced them to, is TATA(or DAD ;) ), it is across Student's City on New Belgrade >>> Bulevar Zorana Đinđića 197 đ , just search for this in google maps, if you can not find it, it is on the parking behind the buildings across big blue gate of Student's City. Try the one with Nutella, Plazma with milk and pineapple(or sour cherry, whatever you prefer). :D
Vidikovac, that is out of city a bit but "Olala" has best palacinke by far. Ppl will say, Hay its Vidikovac it is too far away from city center... But hey, everyone who tried them said that those are the best palacinke in Belgrade
I really don't know why do you have some comments on pancakes. Of course that the street pancakes will be warm. Of course that delivery pancakes will be 'soggy and baggy' and pretty messy (presentation), because they didn't be on the plate, they were in aluminum foil, so the heat turned them into a soggy mass. And, if we talk about the restaurant, it is their choice if they will offer hot or warm pancakes.
Just to repeat what they say below. Learn to make them yourself! Find a Serbian Baba and let her show you how! That is what I did and then you can put whatever you want. I have one kids who likes slano (cheese and kulen, or bacon) and the other who likes nutella and plazma. My Bosnian friend made a great one with spinach and cheese. I haven't bought a palachinka in YEARS! They have to be hot off the griddle!
Palatschinke is a thin crêpe-like variety of pancake of Greco-Roman origin. While it is most common in South and West Slavic countries, it is also generally known in other parts of Central and Eastern Europe. This pancakes (Palatschinke) are very similar to the French crêpe but the main difference between the French and Central/Eastern European version of the dish is that the mixture for pancakes can be used straight away unlike that of crepes which is suggested to be left at rest for several hours. There are also American and Japanese types of pancakes, but they are different from European ones. And these are Serbian pancakes, they are talking about pancakes that they are currently eating in Serbia.
The best pancakes in Serbia are the ones you made by yourself in your home and share with your family/friends/neighbors....
Treba da probate domaće palačinke sa pekmezom od šljiva.

You're fourth option should be home made, domaci. Crepe with a little jam inside. Warm and delicious!
