Nothing over 1400 sq ft other than 260 King St #1505, which is right on the border of Mission Bay and South Beach -- resanfrancisco.rapmls.com/scripts/mgrqispi.dll?APPNAME=REsanfrancisco&PRGNAME=MLSLogin&ARGUMENT=hBgsIMRP%2ByPlxRRSP8peaGEl6k6lI1H%2FxKiX4u3M4HA3HS5CZCu9xmKi2peUAS80&KeyRid=1&SID=f80f713d-76db-425a-8fec-e23033050b14 Views are legit but it's a bit dated and HOA is on the higher side ($1,165). I used to live at 250 King back in the day. Like the amenities there, walkable to FiDi. Several more options between 1200-1300 sq ft, but not much 1400+ right now.
"That traffic has been made a little worse since the Chase center opened." THAT'S the understatement of the year. As someone who lives in the area, it's a DISASTER. People are going to get killed trying to walk across 3rd street at various intersections. The city does virtually nothing--anymore--to control traffic before and after events. At first, they stationed police, but no more. At least not at our intersection. As a result, it's often a race track around here before and after events. Few know that Mission Bay used to have a golf driving range and other somewhat unique features in the city. Long gone. Was it better then? You decide. Of course, progress must go on, and the use of the land is probably better now.
@austinklar they already know: have police control the traffic and maintain a presence in the areas so idiots don't race their engines and scream across intersections. And race down Tennessee Street to get to the freeway on-ramp from the back way. Etc.. Just SHOW UP. But, I'm sure there's no budget. Which begs the question "why don't they make Chase center pay for the police presence?" That's the question: the Chase center benefits from screwing up our neighborhood, they should pay to mitigate the third-party costs. Harrumph.
My friend is a property manager who’s building is walking distance from chase center They have to pay a service to clean poop from in front of their building. Let’s hope things get better.
Hunters Point the old shipyard is farther south...new housing there is marketed as Hunters View, homes by Lennar mostly...Mission Bay is served by the newer T-line metro, whereas Hunters View is more isolated, far less traffic, living there might require a car
@austinklar when you have over 3000 homeless people and only 250 beds in your shelter and only have 2 or 3 shelters, how is that an adequate number of shelters because that number only comes to 750 beds. In 1982 federal minimum wage was 5.75 dollars an hour today federal minimum is only 7.25 dollars an hour. In the last 40years wages have only gone up 17.5% while housing cost have rose more than 264% and if you want to rent in California and not pay more than 30% of your income like the government recommends and banks use for mortgages and landlords advertising that you need to make 3times the amount of rent, at today's cost of housing you would need to make 50.00 dollars an hour to afford rent. Hell even in Mississippi you need at least 38.00 dollars an hour to afford rent. When you have a minority of homelessness you can blame the people but when you have an epidemic of homelessness it is the fault of the wealthy and free market and the government. Here in California minimum wage is 15.00 dollars to 20.00 dollars an hour
Yeah no, Mission Bay area was once marshland that was filled in with debris from the 1906 earthquake. One jolt of earthquake and this liquefaction paradise will be leveled. This dufus of a realtor didn't even mention the sinking sidewalks, he just looked at google maps and walked around and basically looked at superficial things. Also, fix your voice over man, it's freaking annoying.

That RH building is gorgeous, love that old architecture. What is the architectural style of that building called?
It’s sooooo nice. They call it neoclassical. I’ll take their word for it
@austinklar Nice, thanks 👍
not to mention the FREE Mission Bay TMA shuttles that run weekday mornings/afternoons, making commuting easier (cleaner and comfier than muni 👀)
Great tip!
Love the content.
Thanks!!

Whats the best property in that area today to get some decent square footage? 2-3 bd+ and over 1,400 sq ft. Anything coming soon?

How much is the housing cost in that area?
Definitely depends but average about $1.1m, just shy of $1k per sq ft

I agree with you. It was meant to be science/biomedical research area, and I liked the pace of things far more when it was like that.

No hunters point is much farther down the waterfront

California could be wayyyyyyy better without newsom let’s hope for change
Im boycotting San Francisco and the wealthy people's businesses just because they criminalized homelessness
Well according to SCOTUS nobody criminalized homelessness.
@austinklar yea right, then why put homeless people in jail.
Because they’re refusing adequate, alternative shelter and are in violation of anti camping laws as a result.

@@Lucy-ec4pt the absolute number of shelters is irrelevant when they're not at capacity, including shelters in proximity outside the City.

Umm...The Financial District didn't collapse in '89. Building codes have addressed the liquefaction issue.
