Just a thought, people always talk about their love language to be receiving but never giving. I have noticed that a person's giving and receiving love language can be drastically different e.g providing acts of service but doesn't care for receiving it. Would like to hear your opinion on that.

@@jen5138 Definition of sanctity is different for every couple. Some couple will see going for nuru massage as crossing that line. We should not define it for others, not saying you do, just saying we should all be more open minded.

I think it depends on why they dislike my partner and his/her family. If it is for superficial reasons like wealth, then I will ignore and go ahead. But if my family saw some red flags in them, then I think worth considering again.

His criteria for his partner is only to be in the same faith. But how strong? Not relevant. :D

To put religion as one of the criterias, I feel is a very silly thing. So what if your entire ancestral ashes are put in his church, to me it’s just a coincidence and that’s it. Religion is a very personal thing and one should never impose your beliefs and expectations onto others. But when a religion imposes a non-believer to convert inorder to have the marriage recognized, this is a big No No for me. 😊

The sad thing is men are visual creatures. Once a lady take for granted her figure and lose attractiveness in the eyes in your partner, most guys will lose the attraction to their partner. This in addition to the lady's personality. But if wife is hot but ugly personality then gg.
