currently using 88d pro 3rd gen as second racket. i prefer 3rd version rather then 2nd version. Overall my best yonex racket is 77pro.. the best so far. easy to play for attacking and defend

Greatest review as usual, yet the lady partner is also the best! Your reviews excel not only the thoroughness of court performance analysis, but also your reviewers skill level being high enough to fully utilize the new features of racquets in focus. Big thank you to both of you!
Glad that you enjoy it and thank you for the compliments!
Great review Bro. My current 88D Pro is very manageable when I am playing single. But for doubles I felt it is a bit heavy and slow...my bad skills. Maybe will change to the new 88S Pro for doubles. Different rackets for different games😅
Thanks bro! I have different racquets for different game too.
Hi there, I played the new 88D pro for 3 sessions and I had the same problem like you with the 2nd 88D. It was for doubles a bit too slow. I can tell you the new 3th Gen in wayyy better in this regards. Its is faster and has the same or maybe more power than before. But it is not anymore that super easy to generate this power compared to the 2nd gen. Overall I find the 3rd Gen is a more complete racket. Before I used the 100zz for doubles and the 88D pro for singles. Now I am going to use for both disciplines the new 3rd gen because it brings everything you ask for. The only downside for me is the solid feel in the drives. This is with the new one not anymore that solid. But all other aspects increased. :)
@@marcelgabor4383 Thanks for your review on the 3rd Gen 88D. I will give it a test since it sounds more forgiving for doubles. In the long run I think it is best to have one racket for both singles and doubles.
Hello nice review. Did you use 3u or 4u?@@marcelgabor4383
@@marcelgabor4383 appreciate the info, i am thinking between getting the new 88d pro or the 88s pro, couldnt make my mind up on which one.
Had a test with both the new 88s/d. I found that the 88s also suited my style much more, overall feels more comfortable. The 88d feels similar to the 100zz I have. What's your opinion?
Is 88s good for speed gameplay? I use 100zz 4u want to change the racket.
For me I prefer 88s pro for my gameplay. If like compare to Ax100zz, 100zz better in attacking shots. Steep smashes.
If you prefer on speed maybe you can try on Nanoflare series

Great review! I love both the D and S models. As an amateur athlete with about five years of experience, do you think I can play with both the 88D and 88S? Against stronger opponents, I plan to use the 88S for better control and counter-attacking, while against equal or weaker opponents, I'll use the 88D. Does anyone else enjoy playing with both the D and S models? If so, share your thoughts in the comments
I would prefer more with 88s. Easier to control. 88d were quite stiff and feels heavier. maybe i'm getting older...hehe
I tried the demo with the new 88S and 88D Pro at one of the badminton shops in Australia. They are both excellent racquets but unsuitable for me as my smash was not good enough when I received feedback from the shop owner as he observed how I played. I better stick with my Yonex Arcsaber 11 Pro 4U, as I am good at controlling the rally.
Yes, stick with what you okay with. Arcsaber 11 Pro is an even balanced and controlling racquet, it could bring out the best of you too.
Time to boot camp your smash/footwork techniques! 👍

just a thought, what is the difference between the 77 pro and 88s pro? if the 88S is better, is it worth it to pick this up as the second weapon of choice?
Ax77 pro more easy to use and less stiff compared to to 88s pro. 88s pro is more on “all round + solid shots”. 77 pro is like “all round + steep attack”.

Hi Vsmash, I’m currently using the camel gold 88dp and I’m thinking to get a new racket. I’m deciding between the 3rd gen S or D. Could you please recommend which one would be better for me? I’m a backcourt player
Maybe you can stick with d pro. The S feeling quite different with D. D more suitable for back court player with better attacking.

I’m currently using the 2nd gen 88s pro 4u and looking forward to buy the 3rd gen 88s pro. I’ve been wanting a little bit more power with my smashes, and thinking of getting the 3U weight. Is it a good choice or should I just get the 4U instead?
3u “feel” much heavier although it’s just like few grams different. Maybe you can swing and try on it first because you make decision on it

Hi! I’m currently looking for a powerful head heavy racket specifically for back court smashing in doubles, I’ve seen your other video comparing the 100zz vs 99 pro, how does the 88d pro 2024 compare to those two in terms of smash power?

@@xd_elta9970 88D pro smashes will be heavier compared to 77 Pro, as 88D Pro equipped with stiff shaft and heavier head.
100ZZ smashes will be heavier and sharp compared to 88D Pro, because 100zz equipped with extra slim and extra stiff shaft, plus it's also head heavy.

Amazing review, I’m thinking of buying the 88D from your website, but I have a few questions if you don’t mind:
1. Do you guys ship internationally?
2. If you do, what is the shipping tax?
3. How long does it usually take for orders to arrive (internationally)?
I recently ordered from them, and for your questions, yes, they do international shipping, and I think the tax and shipping price will be accumulated on the check-out. And for me, it is around 65 USD since I am based in North America, and surprising enough, FEDEX didn't charge any tax on mine.
And btw, it took me 1 week before I got my order.
Thank you for expressing your interest to us, my answer as below:
1) Yes, we do ship internationally. However, some counties we are not able to ship through due to business restriction. May I know which country you are in?
2) The shipping fee will be auto generate during the check-out page, based on the order weight and the dimension.
Please note that, only the shipping fee will be charges and not the tax. The taxes/duties amount to be borne by the buyer if applicable.
3) It takes approximately 7-10 working days to complete the whole process, also depending on the courier transit and custom clearance.

Hi, I play mainly front court. I still love my original 3u arcsaber 11 but it is not very fast at the front. I bought the thruster F enhanced edition and liked it both in the front and back but my stringer damaged it and I cannot get another one. I want to get another similar racquet from yonex. Do you recommend the new astrox 88s pro or arcsaber 11 pro?
If you looking for something similar/same as Arcsaber 11 (3U), perhaps you can consider the Arcsaber 11 Pro, more to control, even-balanced. If you want something different, with head heavy, stiff shaft, and good at the front court, Astrox 88S Pro is also a good choice.
Right now, I using nf800pro 4U speed and overall is OK for me. I always half swing smash but it feels quite lack power when smashing back of the court. Should I change to new 88s pro 4U?

For Astrox 88S and 88D pro are they both much more headheavy than the 77pro?
I'm also curious how these 2 compare to the 77 pro, stiffness and head heaviness
@@rittersports0definitely stiffer than 77pro, 88 series are stiff shaft. 77pro is put as medium stiff shafts. 88 racquets are famous for its demanding skill and wrest power to play. Dont expect you will get an extronomous improvement by upgrading to 88d Pro, its a much stiffer and head heavy racquet, 77pro is much more forgiving and well rounded, 77pro is well known and good rated for its higher tolerancy to inconsistent hitshot and less skill demanding. but able to generate satisfying quality of shuttle return. 88 racquets are more like: if you just gone slower for only 1 pace in the drive fight you are probably doomed.
88Dpro will definitely heavier. but 88Spro will probably lighter, or maybe same head heavy weight as 77pro. but with much stiffer shaft, bringing higher demand of finger and wrest power to whip the racquet to generate powerful shot.
@@No-ko4tp Thanks for the feedback! Did you tried the 3 rackets? Many reviews said that the 88D is easier than the previous. That's why I thought it would be a nice upgrade to the 77

i bought the 2nd gen astrox 88d pro after watching your review, and although i really liked it I found it to be a bit slow when trying to defend and also that I started developing shoulder pain whenever trying to attack continuously(could be my technique), which was not as issue before. @@michael3294 Okay, thanks!!!
@@devy1440 you're welcome!
Fyi, i've tried to dry swing DZS at store, it was light for me even though it was 3U.
The DZS felt really even-balance with only a touch head-weight, well i migh be mistaken since i've never tried DZS on court.
I've tried 100zz, 88DPGen 2 and 88DPro Gen 3. (Already sold 100zz and 88DPGen3)
100zz 4U too, it felt heavier than the 88DPGen2 4U, although the head-weight is not heavier than the 88DPGen2.
While the 88DPGen3 is lightest and softer.
You use DZS, that's why i suggested you to for for 100zz or 88DPGen2.
Imo, 100zz feels different than DZS, but who knows 😂
If you don't really like head-heavy racket, maybe you can try 77Pro for an all-round racket. I tried my friend's 77Pro, feels great, an all-round racket but packed with punch for rear-court player.
Also, 77Pro shaft is not medium, it's definitely stiff, "maybe" the Flex-Fuse or whatever the technology Yonex called, makes the frame flex a bit for softer feeling.
Fyi, Lee Yong Dae (an all-round player) used 88DPGen2 before 77Pro launched.
My recommendation are 88DProGen2 or 77Pro, but you can always go for other rackets.
In the end, i'd suggest you try those rackets in store first, because they are expensive!
In fact, i bought those rackets second-handed 😂
Lucky for me, the 88DPGen2 still looks new, but at friendly price
Hope i can help you with my experience, good luck with your new racket!
@@michael3294how would this new 88d pro compare to arc 11 pro?? I cant decide which is better
@@devy1440 I've tried them,
88DP Gen3 feels head heavier than the Arc11 Pro,
but Arc11Pro is definitely stiffer than the 88DP Gen3.
Assuming all in 4U,
88DPGen3 = All-round and rear-court
Arc11Pro = All-round and Mid to front-court (rear-court if you have big power like Zheng SiWei 😂)
In my personal opinion:
Both of them are all-round racket, but 88DPGen3 provides better power for overhead shot such as clear, backhand-clear, rear-smash, dropshot, etc
While Arc11Pro is great at drives, counter-attack, defense, stick-smash, controlled-smash, etc
For control such as netting and placing, i'll give the edge for Arc11Pro.
For power, 88DPGen3 wins, definitely punchier and really satisfying when smashing.
The thing is Arc11Pro has this hold-time technology, when you hit the shuttle, it felt the shuttle sit a bit longer on the string, while 88DPGen3 doesn't have that.
So it depends on what you like
In the end, you need to try it first before buying.
I've tried 100zz, 99pro, 88spro (2nd and 3rd gen), 88d pro (2nd and 3rd gen), 77pro, arcsaber11pro and arcsaber7pro, nanoflare1000z
But i stick with 88DPro Gen2, because it clicks with me.
You are currently using DZS right, as far as i know DZS is on the light side for 3U (i've swung DZS at store once, and it's really nice, but the head was a bit too light for me), but i don't know wether it's Extra Stiff or not, because i've never tried it on court.
My suggestion is, probably you should try 88DPro Gen3 first, if it's not your liking, then you can go try Arcsaber11Pro 3U version (since DZS only has 2U and 3U).
Bring your racket to store, and swing it together for better feel
@@devy1440 You're welcome!!
If you ask me, 88DProGen3 and Arc11Pro has different feel and traits. Both of them are great rackets!
Assuming all 4U, imo:
- 88DProGen3 head heavier than Arc11Pro, great for overhead shots such as clear, smash, dropshot, etc
- Arc11Pro is stiffer and head-lighter than 88DPGen3, great for controlled shots, netting, defense, etc
I've swung once DZS at store, and it felt light for 3U weight, but i can't tell the head-weight and stiffness since i didn't use it on court.
If you want something even-balance like DZS, maybe you can try Arc11Pro in 3U
But, since you want a bit more power,
My suggestion is to try 88DProGen3 in 4U, but the head-weight is noticeable heavier than Arc11Pro
[Edit]
I am using 88DPro Gen 2, tried to switch for 88DPro Gen3
I felt the 88DP 2nd Gen is stiffer than 88DPro 3rd Gen, so i stick with my 88DPro 2nd Gen.
If you're used to DZS stiffness, you may need to adapt with 88DPro Gen3, since the shaft felt kinda flex for me.
But that's me, it might be different for you, have fun and try those rackets!!
I switched frm the 88sPro 2nd Gen to the 77pro about a year ago which im currently enjoying. Should i consider switching to the 3rd Gen Spro?

Hello i need a headlight tacket that good for smash, power, control what do you recommended except nanoflare 1000 bcs it so easy to break so i didnt want to take a risk
Hi. You may consider this 3rd generation Astrox 88s Pro. full of power for smashing and good in control play
I just clashed doing power smash with Nanoflare 1000 tour, the Nanoflare didn't break just scratched. I was surprised.
@@dannylim246 Glad to know that nothing major happened to your racquet.
Racquet damage can be cause by various of reason.
How do you think the 88d pro 3rd gen compares with the Victor Thruster Enhanced ?
Appreciate the English subs too !
Thruster F Enchance has a longer frame, to increase sweet spot and not so head heavy.
While Astrox 88D Pro 3rd gen has a slightly smaller frame size and more head heavy.
I have both of these rackets right now. To be honest, I did not like the Thruster F Enhanced that much because it was too much flex for me even it is considered as a "stiff" racket. On the other hand the 100zz and 2nd Gen of the 88D was a bit too stiff. For me is the new 88D pro the best of all worlds. It is stiffer than the TKFE but not crazy as the 100zz or older 88D pro. At the same time has a crazy power when you hit the ball at the sweet spot. And it has enough flex for playing controlled. Really creat allround-racket for attacking players.
@@marcelgabor4383 Thank you for your input and glad that you found your best racquet! 🤩
Did you got the 3u version for your old and new 88d pro ?

Hi, what type of yonex bag is at the beginning of the video?
Yonex expert model
Is it worth to upgrade from 4u 11 pro to 88s pro 4u
Thanks
If considering changing from all round racquet to attacking racquet, I would say yes.
Also, depending your playing style.
How does the new 88D Pro 3rd gen compare to 77 pro? Is it as stiff or more flex?
Personally I think 88d pro 3rd gen shaft stiffer compare to 77 pro. Much depends on the weight and grip size as well
@@vsmashsports Thanks! So stiffness wise, old 88D pro > new 88D pro > 77 pro
@@Universe-yl2ye Yup! Stiff > not too stiff (my own feeling) > mid flex

22nd March.
What’s better 88d/s pro in power and speed?
Hi there!
Power / Attacking = 88d
Speed / control = 88s
for doubles would you choose a Nanoflare 800pro or 88s?
Both excel quite good. Personal feeling, i would choose 88s pro. are you front / back court player?
@@vsmashsports front my smash not as good as you ls
@@vsmashsports I play front court - racquets i've used have been old nanoflare 800 (4ug5 good at drives and defence/ no smashing power), arcsaber8dx (even balance 3ug4) and auraspeed 90s (decent defence/drives/ ok smashing power), Thruster F (4ug5 feels too stiff for me)
@@m14llee Nanoflare 800 Pro, best for control, change/switch at the front, because light in weight compare to Astrox 88S Pro.
how does astrox 88s pro 4u compare with arcsaber 7 pro in terms of control defense feel power and forgiveness . nice video it helped a lot
hi. thanks for watching. Ax88s Pro is much more solid in terms on shots, feel - stiffer and heavier compare to ARC7 Pro.
@@vsmashsports thank you for the reply
Will this suit for people who tried ax77pro?
you may try 88s but you may find it stiffer bit than AX77 Pro
Ape kelemahan 68 lubang
Buat saya senang saja.
Ax88s pro stiffer and more suitable for solid punch. Arc 11 pro better in the soft touch and accuracy.

88s pro vs nanoflare 1000z?
Hi, what do you want to know about this 2 models?
Hi, ax88SP compare to nf800p please?
Both are quite different in character. Nanoflare is head light series while Astrox is head heavy series.
@@vsmashsports Thank.. I've bought it.
@@Eddiecheng92 Enjoy!
@@vsmashsports I've been enjoying it with the AB strings!
Its the new Astrox 88 d pro better than NF 1000zz?
Both are also good racquet with different characters.
Astrox 88D pro is a head heavy racquet with stiff shaft, which able to give powerful smash.
While Nanoflare 1000Z is a head light with extra stiff shaft and compact frame, which able to give powerful smash too with using lesser energy because it's lighter in weight compared to Astrox 88D Pro.
What's your playing style?
I personal use arc 11 pro 4u, im a all rounded player but, i love to play in back court recently to smash and drop shot , i want buy a new racket that can adaptable easy with my current racket , I think my arc 11 pro feel doesn't give me a maximal power output on my smashes but i love the weight and the racket swing, and drive/defenses, ....in my cases it's better to get astrox 88 d pro new generation or nanoflare 1000z ?

Previously you said on review video 68 grommet hole on gen 2 88s pro is to extend the sweet spot, now you say 68 hole has smaller sweet spot so they increase no. of holes to expand sweet spot... inconsistencies bossku 😂
Hey don’t get it wrong buddy. 😜 I mentioned consumer feedback to the racquet. But not my opinion on that. Furthermore the 88s pro 2nd gen 68 holes design was to expand the sweet spot which you can see on their advertise marketing. Somehow the 3rd gen they mentioned expand larger sweet spot which mean they expand again right? Haha. So maybe need graph to justify how much increase from the 1st to 2nd and to 3rd gen. 😂😂
I see, its true that its their marketing stating that, we have to take it with a grain of salt 😂 Thanks for the reply, can't wait to try them myself!@@vsmashsports
