Thanks for sharing your experience, Linda! When you talked about being prepared, it reminded me of something often said about what makes “Special Forces” so “special”… Regular military forces make sure they meet minimum standards, and train to be able to do it right. Special Forces train until they can’t do it wrong. It’s good perspective to check your own personal training standards against. Are we trying to meet FAA minimums or are we trying to be experts in the field? I love how involved you were in the build and how well you know your aircraft. Flying on that confidence had to feel so great!
@@lindasollars Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I'm like you, I've have believed Rotax are the best GA engines for sometime... and I've been looking for the perfect airframe to meet my mission. The Sling High Wing looks to be perfect solution.
If the MOSAIC rules changing the limitations for LSAs goes into effect and the High Wing fits those limitations, will US customers be able to purchase a factory built airplane and not have to build it?
Thanks for asking - the Sling LSA Operating Handbook says to use "automotive grade API "SG" type oil, or higher, preferably synthetic, or semi-synthetic. When operating on unleaded fuels or MOGAS, fully synthetic oil is recommended". At Sling Pilot Academy we use Aeroshell Sport Plus 4 Engine Oil.
Designing/choosing a paint scheme is definitely the hardest part of the build!
Excellent. I don't usually watch hour-long videos, but I watched and enjoyed this one from start to finish.
This presentation is full of great experiences, advice, and knowledge you don't want to miss. Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks so much. I am honored and humbled.
Go Sling!!! 🎉

Exactly! Thanks for watching 😎🤙
Thank YOU! My pleasure and good to know what lands with people.
Wow… it’s settled in my mind that the HW is the perfect plane for me.
splendid! Keep me posted!

My first GPS was a hand held with a liquid quart stick figured 3 inch display.
Bodily functions are the most pressing reason for gethereitus.😅

Great question! It is in consideration but a long way off for now.
Thanks for sharing.
What kind of oil do you use in the Rotax engine?
