- Often after a concussion or mild traumatic brain injury, symptoms get better. Sometimes symptoms persist. Dr. Judy Gooch, a rehabilitation doctor shows that you can get help if your symptoms persist after a concussion.
Thank you Doctor G. I don’t want misspell your name. Glad you are bringing these things out. Vision, concentration, and memory are 🔑 factors in getting the necessary help for others. The Lord said we are to lift one another up! Remember?❤️🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🔥
Dr. Gooch helped me to understand I was not imagining or making up my symptoms after a bad car accident where I sustained a double concussion. The support experts I was referred to help me immensely deal with life. I still rely on the techniques I was given especially when I am tired.
Yeah my dad would hit me across the head a bunch of times and I suffer with migraines and I'm in my 20s now I have better issues are bothering me they solid lesion and I trained pretty sure it's multiple sclerosis but who knows
It’s the worst. Don’t know if I can keep doing this. It’s been a year and a half and it’s absolutely horrible
Can you get help?
Utah Neuro Rehabilitation It’s workers comp and the insurance just keeps denying the doctor’s recommendations and referrals. It’s ridiculous. And my private insurance won’t accept it because they say it’s worker’s compensation’s responsibility but worker’s compensation doesn’t do anything! It’s a huge catch 22 I’m stuck in and it’s horrible
That is a terrible bind. I have treated patients in this workers comp and insurance bind and it so difficult. I am sorry to hear this. Sometimes legal assistance has been helpful.
Utah Neuro Rehabilitation Thank you for the encouragement 🙏🏼 I have my first court date on October 31st, hopefully something good will come out of it. I do have a lawyer, I just really wish I had known better at the time and used my private insurance. Hindsight is 20/20 I guess lol
I wanted to show my friends how strong I was so I punched myself in the head.
Ouch, I might not do that again.
I need help

I have epilepsy and just had a seizure a few days ago and my wife says I smacked my head really hard on our floor. I feel like I may have a concussion but I don't know what to do about it...
If you have ongoing symptoms after a few weeks, look for a concussion doctor or therapist.
Had 12 documented concussions probably have many is 15/ a 25 year career plan junior hockey God I wish I knew more then
That is rough.
I pretty much have had intermittent double vision since I was 37 years old you learn to live with it but it does limit you doing certain things driving at night driving in the rain
Where can I get help in nj? It’s been 5 months and I’m struggling to keep up
Look for a local brain injury association or for a doctor specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation who treats people with brain injury
Utah Neuro Rehabilitation thank you
Do you kbow any place in Canada that can help me? It's been just over a month and I tried going back to work but my vision went wonky again and the headaches are brutal!!
I don't know the resources in Canada. In general, doctors specializing in neurology and physical medicine and rehabilitation can help. Also, some optometrists and occupational therapists can do vision therapy. If you find some help, will you let me know. We have recently started a website: brainstormforbraininjury.com. We are trying to post resources for people all over the world. thank you
@@UtahNeuroRehabilitation thanks for replying! I'll let you know
