  • Hey guys Dallin here from Moto Repair!! Today I cracked down on this Yfs200 Blaster motor and rebuild the bottom in 4 hours!! This motor was whack, It had a bend connecting rod and tons of aluminum shavings but despite all that, it was in really good condition and ran perfectly afterward!! So if you did enjoy this video please like, comment, and subscribe!!

    To all those who feel need to tell me how I don't know how rebuild motors. I get it the "techniques" used in this video are all wrong but hey I was 12-13 these were filmed 3-5 years ago depending on the video (uploaded a year or two ago) I can assure you that no motor after this (besides the other two motor rebuilds on the the channel) was built like this. I just glad I was motivated to try this because here I am years later I've seen over a thousand customers and have flipped a 1-2 hundred bikes and happy I did it. This motor ran for years same as the other motor rebuilds on the channel then they owners sold it and I never saw it again so I guess I got lucky.

    I cried watching you hammer that crank bearing in... word of advise take a small tank of map gas torch heat up the race, take the flam and circle it 40 times the bearing will drop right into place, then hold it for 30 seconds so when it cools it dont push the bearing out, I'm a certified Polaris tech, and make sure the cases are lapped before you put them back, they heat and contract so much, make sure the flush plays a big part, to do all that work and money for nothing, that's rookie mistakes.

    • @MotoRepair350twin
      @MotoRepair350twin  5 лет назад +1

      I did heat the case and i froze the bearing too! I had my dad check the cases on a machining surface (I think that's what's called?) And they were straight. I did also clean everything in the parts washer. A lot of the time don't film everything.

    Step one: Throw your flathead screwdrivers in the trash.
    Step two: Always do crank bearings with a crank, especially on a cheap blaster.
    General advice: When you silicone cases and it's oozing all over the outside of the case, imagine what's going on inside.

      Ahh to be young and dumb 12-13 isn't the smartest age haha. These videos were filmed 3-5 years ago (depending on which video) but posted them a year or two ago and rewatching them is painful. I'm glad I was brave enough to even try because years later I've seen over a thousand customers and have flipped a couple hundred bikes. Time stamp? I did inspect everything before reinstallation cuz I don't want to spend all the time rebuilding it and then put something that less-than-ideal in the motor that I just finished. Post a timestamp.
