Last week, I had the privilege and pleasure of being invited to play and sing in a small jam that included these amazing folks!

I love this video… Kenny is my favorite bluegrass guitarist alive. He stands out from everyone else to me; while a lot of flatpickers are playing a million notes, in one word I would describe Kenny’s playing as “chill”. And needless to say, Amanda is one of the best female bluegrass vocalists on the scene!

Relaxed setting. Yet a clinic of lead and rhythm guitar.

I've never played a guitar that was better than a Collings, and only a couple that were close! I remember the first time i played one at a shop, i actually got to play 5 or 6. "This is the best guitar i've ever played... no, this one is! no.... this one!" You could spin a roulette wheel and land on any collings and i'd be happy with it. Someday...

Just stumbled across this because I was listening to Gilian Welch. I thought this was going to be some quaint little recording in somebody’s living room. Within two notes I knew that I was sorely mistaken. This was amazing! And I now know what I’m going to be doing for the next month- studying the $&@* out of this video and learning it note for note.
