J Patt lol yea and I love how he said the belt blew and just oh it's been used lol I have had skidoos with 115 hourspower never blow belts but this 4 stroke pig does lol wtf
Jake Hynds don't get me wrong Polaris makes cool stuff! they have machine for every type of person.. but every time I watch a dirt tracks video and they do a long trip ride in Polaris they always snapping axle or a belt I just think Polaris quality is poor and in the end they only care about the dollar not necessarily the consumer!!!
I’m thinking Nathan would like to open up another branch of TFL called TFL ORV. Time to find something even more challenging than gold mine hill. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
What engine was in the truck? And when you were towing with it did the engine temperature gauge ever go above half? I know you all have done a lot of reviews on these trucks but you never talk about the temperatures of the transmission or engine when you are doing these Towing test. I recently noticed on my 2017 Sierra with a 5.3 my temperature gauge moving just above half when I'm only Towing about 3500 lb. Is this something y'all normally see in these trucks? Thanks.
Nathan McLaughlin Always cross them, the idea is if the trailer tongue comes loose of the ball it will be caught in the crossed chains, otherwise it will slip through between them.
I don’t know about crossing the chains, when I haul set of doubles on tractor trailers we never cross them if something went wrong crossing them would cause them to snap,
Then your chains would be of the wrong grade for the load your carrying... They are meant to be crossed so if the hitch pops it will catch on the chains, not digging the nose into the pavement causing a certain critical failure. I have had hitches pop more than once in my hauling experience, but go ask your local DOT if you don't trust the internet
Now that’s the setup I wanna see the 98 mile MPG run with!! Also, what brand was that 28’ trailer you were hauling?? As usual, keep up the good work. Great video. 👍🏻
When we Go Riding and Camping we usually have 2 / 3 truck's some times more depending on who's going usually Dad Tows The Travel Trailer with his Truck I Tow The Big Buggy 2 quads and my son's ATV or I tow the big Buggy my side by side utv a quad my son's ATV and my brother tows 2 quads or the other Buggy Every now and then my wife brings her truck as well if we need to tow anything else
I've noticed through the years that TFL typically does not use enough gain on their brake controllers. As someone who uses a multitude of trailers on a daily basis, you can follow this rule of thumb no matter the trailer or manufacturer. Loaded, use full gain or slightly under. Empty, use half gain or slightly under. Lightly loaded, use three quarters gain or slightly under.
It depends on the truck and the weight of the trailer. For example, Nissan is pretty aggressive and Ram’s controllers are not. If your fully loaded trailer is 5,000 lbs versus 12,500 lbs - do you use maximum gain on both? No. You test the system and adjust the gain.
Some things to note-
1 - Always tie down to a point that is
Not compressing the suspension
2 - never loop anything through the tongue hitch clip.
Gotta say I’m impressed with my 17 Chevy Z71 LTZ with the 6.2. Pulls good and gets great MPGs unloaded.
Just personally I think the current GMS Sierra looks better than the Silverado, can’t wait to see the new trucks in person.
Would be nice if you guys dude an actual review or something on that GMC Sierra!
I don't see the point It's the same truck since 2014
St. George is so beautiful, little slice of heaven in the south west
I didnt know you could get the 5.3 with the Denali. I thought it only came with the 6.2
5.3 is available across the board on all GM trucks. the Yukon Denali/Escalade only offer the 6.2.
Still no push button start, you have to wait for the redesigned 19
JakeDrives yes, thank you
I don't like when you tie down by the chassi. The suspension can rise/sag. I always tie down on unsprung weight.
Once again another Polaris broke down 👩🔧! It's either the belts or axles every video I watch cracks me up 😂
My first thought when I saw them on the trailer was..."I wonder how many RZR's broke down?"
N Pooch
The "CAUTION" label @ 4:38 is crooked.

This video is made even better if you read Truck Nuts and remember Nathan's story of towing problems.
Im super excited to see the 19 silverado and sierra get crushed by the new ram in sales.
Derek Ortiz Exactly. GM just doesn't learn, hey the Silverado finally got rid of sqaure wheel wells. Then the Sierra came along... Lol.
Should I break the news to you now?…

Would have been nice if they used the 6.2l
Beautiful Truck! You can get the current gen (K2XX) for 25% off MSRP or 15k off! Clearing out for the New Generation (T1XX) 2019
What dealer is giving that discount?
pm641 Laura Buick gmc. Fly in drive home or they can ship truck to you
PowerPC amazing how many trucks they have. And most of them are lifted.
pm641 they are #1 volume dealer in USA. There inventory is always changing.
Do you have to contact them to get the 25% off? Their website doesn't really indicate any discounts that deep.
I heard it doesn't matter if you cross the chains of the trailer or attach them straight on. Is this true?
Nathan McLaughlin Always cross them, the idea is if the trailer tongue comes loose of the ball it will be caught in the crossed chains, otherwise it will slip through between them.
No
I don't get why GM wont use the 10 speed box.

Nice explanation. Thank you guys!
Do you have an email to contact you

I never really looked at it as Luxury Towing Luxury Towing would be towing with dad's truck and dads money 😂😆
Nice job boys great video thanks!!! Looks like a blast in the sand dunes!! ✌️🇺🇸👍

Does your back get sore from the offset steering wheel?
That's one sexy truck
Luxo Barge!
I think the 5.3 has a 6 speed, not an 8 speed?
8 speed in both applications. Trucks only !
Denali standard 8 speed
Matt Lopez Denali is 6.2 only. Was an 8 speed. Now upgraded to the 10 speed.
JakeDrives did u watch the video? Their denali's we're 5.3 motors.
I thought you were talking about the Yukon.. my bad.. 8 Speed is standard on all of the 1500's regardless of motor.
5:07 “HELL NO”
