BOYNEXTDOOR made me feel exactly how I felt when TXT debuted. Their concept is so refreshing, and I was automatically hooked after hearing all 3 songs. Guess im just really into that youthful vibe :)

The level of confidence pouring out of these boys is fascinating for a Rookie group. I have seen live videos of them on tiktok and you might have thought that they had a couple of years of experience under their belt. Love them.
The boy in the blue varsity jacket is the maknae Woonhak. He has such a contagious cheerful energy! He also stood out to me from the beginning. And also Taesan (the one in the mesh at the end of serenade) is sort of like the center of the group. He really stands out to me with his facial expressions and adlibs that he does when they sing on live radio.
BND has really caught my attention from the get go. They’re so refreshing. Like I can’t stop smiling the entire time I’m watching them. The simplicity and how straight forward their music is has a different punch. The members are so vibrant and charismatic like how did Zico even found them and put them all together as a group is top brilliancy. Such an impressive debut ❤️👏🏻

If you've been following BND's performances, guesting's, etc. you will notice that each of the members are dressed based on their individual style, yet they all look cohesive as a group. Makes it more natural looking and relatable. Props to their stylist and prod team. All 3 videos are masterpieces and certainly what we need in KPOP today. Very fitting to usher in 5th gen.

I am utterly obsessed with this group, and impatiently await more. Big fan of Zico, so my expectations were high. Not at all disappointed. Very unique take, gives a lot of Zico energy, and also reminds me a little of very early Seventeen, with the fresh bright concept. [and Seventeen is the highest praise I can give]. 11 out of 10.

I get not putting them in a box, but it's disappointing to me because many companies make members who don't sing well their "rappers." I want more groups with talented members whose goal was to be a rapper from the outset rather than being compelled to do it.

by far, the strongest 5th gen bg release. it's a breath of fresh air in bgs coz most of them release jarring and strong instrumentals (which is not bad btw) and they're releasing very lowkey and vibe-y type of song.

They also take part in writing and producing their music, and the lyrics are not empty and made only for the TikTok trends. They’re already so talented and passionate about their music, I think they’re bound to great things just like BTS and Seventeen and I really wish so for them, they totally deserve it!
they came straight out a high school musical movie. their music and the way lyrics are delivererd..the instrumental has its lik details adding up to the emotions they are trying to convey and choreography especially the chore on serenade is very theatrical. is literally a coming of age musical

YESS woonhak my bias he is literally a born to be performer!! Also 돌아버리겠다 and serenade were composed and lyrics written by woonhak, taesan, ( the two members that caught ur eye in one and only) and jaehyun, one and only was the only song produced by Zico. Also I highly suggest checking out their live preformances, it's like they've been in this industry for over 3 years now!

Also those 3, JAEHYUN (19:08) TAESAN (18:14) WOONHAK (17:48) participated in 'serenade' & '돌아버리겠다‘ As expected from PD, you can sense talents even from videos To add, the 'kind of raining road' in 'one and only' actually real. It was raining heavily that time. The staffs keep on throwing away the rain out of the road so that they can dance well + the "this kid is crazy!" actually a maknae in the group kkkkk

I liked how you were able to gather Leehan true personality from an mv and I think that they purposely directed it that way (to show glimpse of each members personality/character) because he is the introvert, calm, shy type of guy, but overall a very chill dude.
What I really appreciate about Hybe Labels is the fact that it is not like: “This is one big label and we debut one group after another and they are the same”… Since Hybe Labels is like a union of more labels, where each label has its own style and face, it really works and I don’t feel like their styles or even their “target group of listeners” would overlap… With BoyNextDoor I was really curious about their sound and yeah, they are different and I can feel the Zico’s influence there, but at the same time they give me “Ador vibe”. Which is not a bad thing or a problem at all. I am just surprised that this is what they are. Because if I didn’t know about them, I would think this is a boy group from Ador for which Zico made songs. I will keep my eye on them for their first comeback for sure! i started following them even before their debut because of zico but honestly their concepts are just like what you said, SO REFRESHING. the concept is just like what i wanted in a boy group, uncommon nowadays where everyone focuses on the "sexy song" and not songs that i would listen to in a daily basis, a feel-good song. can't wait for more bonedo's releases !!!
This is the first time I have truly liked a group based on the quality and style of music they have. Previous groups I have stannes were purely based on hype. I am so happy to have discovered them. My current spotify Playlist only has 3 songs: But I Like You, One and Only, and Serenade. And I'm content with listening to just 3 songs the entire day coz these are high quality songs.
Their producer line are amazing! Esp Taesan and Jaehyun, explains a lot about their music style. Taesan fav band is Nirvana and Oasis. They are very influenced by oldies... ❤

I haven't been so excited for a new group in a while. This was so refreshing, fun and cute! It is nice to see them do something simple and easy to listen to, not flashy, noisy and extravagant. Zico knew what he was doing 😌👏🏼 My favourite one is "But I Like You", but they are all included in my playlist 🤭
The storyline, the lyric, music, mv, and all about them is so cheerfull, amazing, funny, and perfect for me. But when I listening to serenade, OMG... Sometimes I'm crying.. I don't know why, but their song makes me sad and happy at the same time.
i'm a fan of zico's producing since block b's early years and i can hear his influence on the songs and even music videos - mainly the colors. it's a playful side that shines so much in songs such as cartoon, any song and genius!! i love the group already!! and i loved the video, thanks as always pd :))

They are my favorite new rookies! Soooo refreshing but still with a coolness and swag. Their whole concept and debut feels so new and fresh but like you comfortably know them already. They gave me such American teen vibe from them like Boy Meets World. (I’m old 😂) They have such charismatic personalities who seem so approachable.
One and Only has my heart ❤ the delivery, the stages, the attitude, all so good. Taesan and Woonhak were also the two who caught my eye from the beginning. They all have their own individual charms and don't seem green in front of the camera. Def will be following their content from now on😊
I was waiting for this for a long time. I needed to know your thoughts. The boy you said was special was Woonhak, the maknae. We all know K-pop maknaes are just very special generally. They are very easygoing, it doesn't feel too much. We needed it as most of the k pop is too produced at times and everything has to be grand. Not saying it is bad but it's refreshing to see the boys and Zico and team create something like this. My favourite one is also SERENADE, it's very perfect.
This is my super positive opinion about BND. Maybe we should expect the crazy concepts for the future comebacks, cause somehow they reminds me of TXT if we remember that TXT debuted with a bright concept, which is actually brighter than BND's😅. but turned out it was all just according to a storyline the group trying to deliver. I believe they will come up with more unexpected concepts cause I can sense hip hop in them since some members are producing songs and we can hear how they put more rapping in the lyrics. Even the 3 members participated in the lyrics writing part and one of the member RIWOO choreographed some parts as well. Theyre super crazy with ideas and multi-talented. fyi, you should listen to their live singing on radio shows. they ate the CD
While I love all three songs, my favorite is One and Only because it shows so much personality (I mean, how can you deny Woonhak’s smile?!) This was the first group where I instantly couldn’t decide who to bias so I just decided to double bias Jaehyun and Leehan. Jaehyun’s tone is so different and his facials are so expressive (he’s also a great leader that is very in tune to the world). Leehan… the visuals. He just stares at you and it’s like 😱 He’s quiet but quirky. And of course we have brooding Taesan, main dancer Riwoo (high kick hello?!) & Sungho’s voice (and belly cuz they be putting him in crop tops all the time). BOYNEXTDOOR is so refreshing. They are not overproduced and brings back that band feel, which is super prominent in kpop today. I would love to hear their songs with a live band! Needless to say, one of my fave groups of 2023!
The way it’s also Woonhak and Taesan that stood out the most for me the first time I’ve watched them… for the same exact reason. (Woonhak is now my Ult, and Taesan is my bias wrecker). It’s also Riwoo, Woonhak and Sungho’s voice that made me think they’re the vocal line. Leehan’s eyes really is the first thing I noticed about him. I’m amazed how my fave reactors (him and Caitlin Benson) got the same standards as mine. And you’d really trust the genuity of their feedback cause you know they really are music (especially k-pop) enthusiasts, and a muli-stan. ❤ BONEDO DELIVERED. 👏🏻
I love all the songs but "One and Only" has me in a chokehold. And I agree 100% that they are very refreshing. I was telling my husband I felt the same way about TXT's debut that I feel about BoyNextDoor.
Omg sameeee i recognized Zico's melody trademark instantly on But I Like You haha. I also love Serenade at first because it has those strings and brass elements and such a cute song. But I've been listening to But I Like You and One and Only too and they're also soooo good, fun and catchy so i ended up cannot decide as well 😂❤. Yes, Woonhak the maknae has such sunshine energy + amazing vocals. What I've noticed they all have very good expressions (on live stage too!) already as a debut group! Looking forward to more of their music, especially they've been involved in songwriting and composing already 👍
They have a very sweet, youthful and warm vibe. Just like their name. They come across like a bunch of friends who grew up together in the same neighbourhood. They’re just buddies hanging out, getting into trouble and enjoying their youth. It’s unpretentious and more relatable without dropping in the quality of the vocals or performance. I was honestly not sure what to expect from them since i'm not very familiar with Zico's style, but they blew my mind. And you can really see in their music show stages and radio presentations that they are genuinely so happy and pumped to be on stage/performing, it's like watching 6 best friends having fun

They are really one of those groups that you know you will be able to rely on in the future to always be unique. I saw someone else mention this, but the team dynamics and debut remind me of TXT. Such a well rounded style of members that come together to make something beautiful. KOZ did such a good job at pairing these members together. I suggest you watch some live performances in your free time! Riwoo's dancing is great!

they are slick, refreshing and all of that but at the same time they feel like good kind of teen love-sick losers? I don't know how to explain it. They're concept is so familiar and they are so inline with their name boynextdoor, which makes them feel familiar too.
you kept pointing out woonhak!! (the boy in blue during serenade, he's the maknae). when i first watched all of their releases he grabbed my attention most too, just something different about the way he emotes through the screen. but fr these boys are giving future of kpop vibes, i can see them going FAR AND WIDE in the next few years 💗
Woonhak's smile is so powerful everyone that watches boynextdoor ends up falling for his charms and cuteness, what a talented and beautiful maknae they have
if you look up all of their live radio performances they are genuinely 98%+ similar to the original track, all of them, they’re reaeaeaeaeaeeaeally good

it's such a pity for some reason they didn't let them sing live in the music show performances DESPITE giving them hand-held mics, their biggest strenght is how expressive they are but the management team really cut them off with that even considering their choreo is super laid back (which is fitting for their concept)

The name is so so on brand for them. They really do feel like your boys next door, just having fun and singing about their crush they have on this girl. Their energy has been nothing but immaculate in their music show performances and it has been a very fun and refreshing debut. Jaehyun, Taesan and Woonhak worked on the lyrics for at least of one the songs too.
I’m so fucking obsessed with Woonhak’s energy, I love that and I love how natural it feels when you see him perform. He’s amazing and he’s only 16 and his first month on the job, he’s crazy talented and can’t wait to see how much he grows.

I’ve been listening to their EP non stop since it dropped and it’s so fun. I love how even though there’s so many groups under HYBE (and more to come), every single one have their own distinctive style, sound and feel. There’s something for everyone and can’t wait to see what’s in storage for the upcoming Pledis group and the R u Next girls. Hybe family is growing and fast, the next game caterers will be insane 😭

I am utterly obsessed with this group, and impatiently await more. Big fan of Zico, so my expectations were high. Not at all disappointed. Very unique take, gives a lot of Zico energy, and also reminds me a little of very early Seventeen, with the fresh bright concept. [and Seventeen is the highest praise I can give]. 11 out of 10.

I get not putting them in a box, but it's disappointing to me because many companies make members who don't sing well their "rappers." I want more groups with talented members whose goal was to be a rapper from the outset rather than being compelled to do it.

I think the mvs also reflect THEM as people pretty well. From them actually doing their hobbies (in 돌아버리겠다) to their mv personalities matching the actual ones.
by far, the strongest 5th gen bg release. it's a breath of fresh air in bgs coz most of them release jarring and strong instrumentals (which is not bad btw) and they're releasing very lowkey and vibe-y type of song.

They remind me of Seventeen for their fresh and happy sound and BTS for their chemistry and confidence. They also take part in writing and producing their music, and the lyrics are not empty and made only for the TikTok trends. They’re already so talented and passionate about their music, I think they’re bound to great things just like BTS and Seventeen and I really wish so for them, they totally deserve it!
they came straight out a high school musical movie. their music and the way lyrics are delivererd..the instrumental has its lik details adding up to the emotions they are trying to convey and choreography especially the chore on serenade is very theatrical. is literally a coming of age musical

Also 돌아버리겠다 and serenade were composed and lyrics written by woonhak, taesan, ( the two members that caught ur eye in one and only) and jaehyun, one and only was the only song produced by Zico. Also I highly suggest checking out their live preformances, it's like they've been in this industry for over 3 years now!
This love story in this songs actually about irl love story of BOYNEXTDOOR's Jaehyun's parents 😂😂😂 one day he asked his mom about how his father proposed her, and later his mom told him the stories and Jaehyun wrote the stories thru lyrics. I liked how you were able to gather Leehan true personality from an mv and I think that they purposely directed it that way (to show glimpse of each members personality/character) because he is the introvert, calm, shy type of guy, but overall a very chill dude.
What I really appreciate about Hybe Labels is the fact that it is not like: “This is one big label and we debut one group after another and they are the same”…
Since Hybe Labels is like a union of more labels, where each label has its own style and face, it really works and I don’t feel like their styles or even their “target group of listeners” would overlap…
With BoyNextDoor I was really curious about their sound and yeah, they are different and I can feel the Zico’s influence there, but at the same time they give me “Ador vibe”.
Which is not a bad thing or a problem at all.
I am just surprised that this is what they are.

i started following them even before their debut because of zico but honestly their concepts are just like what you said, SO REFRESHING. the concept is just like what i wanted in a boy group, uncommon nowadays where everyone focuses on the "sexy song" and not songs that i would listen to in a daily basis, a feel-good song. can't wait for more bonedo's releases !!!

This is the first time I have truly liked a group based on the quality and style of music they have. Previous groups I have stannes were purely based on hype. I am so happy to have discovered them. My current spotify Playlist only has 3 songs: But I Like You, One and Only, and Serenade. And I'm content with listening to just 3 songs the entire day coz these are high quality songs.
Their producer line are amazing! Esp Taesan and Jaehyun, explains a lot about their music style. Taesan fav band is Nirvana and Oasis. They are very influenced by oldies... ❤

I haven't been so excited for a new group in a while. This was so refreshing, fun and cute! It is nice to see them do something simple and easy to listen to, not flashy, noisy and extravagant. Zico knew what he was doing 😌👏🏼

But when I listening to serenade, OMG... Sometimes I'm crying.. I don't know why, but their song makes me sad and happy at the same time.
I hope you watch the dance practices, because these mv's aren't very choreo heavy at all (especially 돌아버리겠다) and they actually have such fun choreos.

I was waiting for this for a long time. I needed to know your thoughts. The boy you said was special was Woonhak, the maknae. We all know K-pop maknaes are just very special generally. They are very easygoing, it doesn't feel too much. We needed it as most of the k pop is too produced at times and everything has to be grand. Not saying it is bad but it's refreshing to see the boys and Zico and team create something like this. My favourite one is also SERENADE, it's very perfect.
Woonhak is so infectious☺️ I kept on insisting my friend to watch them and she thanked me because she found Woonhak, her new happy pill☺️

This is my super positive opinion about BND.
Maybe we should expect the crazy concepts for the future comebacks, cause somehow they reminds me of TXT if we remember that TXT debuted with a bright concept, which is actually brighter than BND's😅. but turned out it was all just according to a storyline the group trying to deliver.
I believe they will come up with more unexpected concepts cause I can sense hip hop in them since some members are producing songs and we can hear how they put more rapping in the lyrics. Even the 3 members participated in the lyrics writing part and one of the member RIWOO choreographed some parts as well. Theyre super crazy with ideas and multi-talented.

While I love all three songs, my favorite is One and Only because it shows so much personality (I mean, how can you deny Woonhak’s smile?!) This was the first group where I instantly couldn’t decide who to bias so I just decided to double bias Jaehyun and Leehan. Jaehyun’s tone is so different and his facials are so expressive (he’s also a great leader that is very in tune to the world). Leehan… the visuals. He just stares at you and it’s like 😱 He’s quiet but quirky. And of course we have brooding Taesan, main dancer Riwoo (high kick hello?!) & Sungho’s voice (and belly cuz they be putting him in crop tops all the time). BOYNEXTDOOR is so refreshing. They are not overproduced and brings back that band feel, which is super prominent in kpop today. I would love to hear their songs with a live band! Needless to say, one of my fave groups of 2023!

The way it’s also Woonhak and Taesan that stood out the most for me the first time I’ve watched them… for the same exact reason. (Woonhak is now my Ult, and Taesan is my bias wrecker).
It’s also Riwoo, Woonhak and Sungho’s voice that made me think they’re the vocal line. Leehan’s eyes really is the first thing I noticed about him. I’m amazed how my fave reactors (him and Caitlin Benson) got the same standards as mine. And you’d really trust the genuity of their feedback cause you know they really are music (especially k-pop) enthusiasts, and a muli-stan. ❤

I love all the songs but "One and Only" has me in a chokehold. And I agree 100% that they are very refreshing. I was telling my husband I felt the same way about TXT's debut that I feel about BoyNextDoor.

But I've been listening to But I Like You and One and Only too and they're also soooo good, fun and catchy so i ended up cannot decide as well 😂❤. Yes, Woonhak the maknae has such sunshine energy + amazing vocals. What I've noticed they all have very good expressions (on live stage too!) already as a debut group! Looking forward to more of their music, especially they've been involved in songwriting and composing already 👍

They have a very sweet, youthful and warm vibe. Just like their name. They come across like a bunch of friends who grew up together in the same neighbourhood. They’re just buddies hanging out, getting into trouble and enjoying their youth. It’s unpretentious and more relatable without dropping in the quality of the vocals or performance. I was honestly not sure what to expect from them since i'm not very familiar with Zico's style, but they blew my mind. And you can really see in their music show stages and radio presentations that they are genuinely so happy and pumped to be on stage/performing, it's like watching 6 best friends having fun
I am so glad you reacted to their videos immediately after returning because I am obsessed with this group. They are really one of those groups that you know you will be able to rely on in the future to always be unique. I saw someone else mention this, but the team dynamics and debut remind me of TXT. Such a well rounded style of members that come together to make something beautiful. KOZ did such a good job at pairing these members together.
