As one of your older viewers, I had to laugh. If I only included the last 15 years of relevant employment, that section would consist of one job. But it is refreshing to know that after 18 years, my old resume is still correctly formatted for today’s job search engines. Thank you for making this video and reducing my anxiety. 🙂
👋🏾 that depends on if you’re actually planning to relocate to that particular city/state. Some jobs have location requirements, so assuming you’re actually planning to relocate (and just getting a head start on your job search), you should use the city/state where you’ll be heading!
I’m 28 years old right now. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve updated my resume. How much or how many jobs should I submit? I’ve had multiple jobs, but my previous and current job are the ones that have lasted 2+ years. Currently a Benefit Admin Spec and have 2 years at my company, previously was at a benefit call center for 4 years, and prior I was working in the oil field as a painter. (I know pretty contrasting jobs) I have more jobs but the others were less than 1 year and don’t seem as relevant.
👋🏾 Hi! There really isn’t a blanket one-size-fits-all answer here. It really depends on the type of role you’re hoping to secure next with your resume, what relevant skills/experience you gained through your previous positions, etc. If you’re interested in getting a complete resume audit, you can do so here: careerswithcandyss.com/shop/p/resume-review 🫶🏾

If applying for jobs out of state; do you recommend putting that you are relocating to that state or just eliminate address all together
